Women Football - HIGHLIGHTS | Como vs. US Sassuolo (Serie A Femminile Relegation Pool 2024-25 Matchday 2)

It's a first-league start for Sassuolo, the youngster. She has started in a couple of cup matches all right, the 18-year-old. A big night for her, the number 29 for Sassuolo. And it is the visitors who get this game underway. Playing right to left as we look. Milic with an early touch straight away. Flag drop, not a touch to it. Here's Zara Kramzha. A bite to Kaj Titek. Guarni's cross. Hanging, looping into the air and a chance. Oh, it's in the net. Karlanas opens the scoring for Como. Her fourth league goal of the season this week. She benefited from some indecisive defending from Sassuolo there. The ball coming off the head of Vlaidrup into her path. And Karlanas. A very good header of the ball. Puts Como ahead. Short, picked up by Smilinski. Chances there though to get the header away. Piqui helps it on. That will really help Como's confidence that goal. Again an indecisive header. Nischler is on to it. Still going Nischler. And it's Vlaidrup who does get back to make the block. It's going to be a corner. In an instant Como had a chance there to go 2-0 up. Karlanas has scored plenty of goals with the head in the past. Some defending to do this time. The header is just over the top. That was a real chance. Bustia in front of goal. Just couldn't keep it down. Lovely delivery deep to the back post there. And Bustia a little unfortunate maybe. A bit of head tennis on the near side. Klelland picks it up. She's away from Rhys Holm here. Lana Klelland. Klelland has gone for it. Oh, that's a fine save. Really good effort from Lana Klelland. She's already managing to tip it over the top. It's really out of nothing. Just got there. Bunch with an important interception there. Because Sabatino was right behind her. Lucia. Right to Petite for Miriam Piquet. Kramzar now. Kerr will chase this. It's Kerr just forced a little wide. Kramzar with the shot. Finds the net and makes it 2-0. Just before half time. Como double their advantage. And Zara Kramzar the teenager. Keeps up her good goal scoring form with a lovely finish there. Set up by Alex Kerr. Como find themselves two goals up just before the break. Kerr chased this one down well. And unselfishly picked out the run. They've robbed a yard or two there. Mijalic the flag has stayed down. A chance here for Sassuolo. Mijalic goes down in the area. Referee says no penalty. A big shout from Sassuolo. The goalkeeper is down. And Mijalic as well. Second collision between those two. Space of a few minutes. Sassuolo had loud claims for a penalty there. On the bench Mijalic driving into the area. They've got goal side of Richon. Pazzo helping it on. Fleming beaten to it by Richon. Maguany. That's Orsi. Good break here for Delestal. Substitute is only just on the field. And the shot on the turn off the crossbar from Nischler. And there's it. Delestal wide of the target. Just couldn't wrap her foot around the ball. But a really good effort from Nadia Nischler. That would have wrapped things up for sure. Subs are being readied now by Sassuolo. Orsi's header. Forward towards Clelland. Sabatino. Is this the moment for Sassuolo? Mijalic. To Swierlinski. Deep cross towards the back post. And very well defended by Agneta Markusson. She got there ahead of Clelland. Will be a corner. An inviting cross from Swierlinski. And that's great defending. Richon's ball forward has been collected. Here's Nischler in the centre of breaks for Delestal. And a very good save by Durand. To keep it at 2-0. It was a great chance for the substitute there. Early Delestal. Excellent goalkeeping by Durand. The French goalkeeper. Super chance for Como again. Mijalic. That's a great pass. Brustilla. First time cross. And a first time effort from Dunn. Just over the top. That was more like it from Sassuolo. What a defence. Splitting pass that was. From Mijalic. For the Finn. Engema. That's a really good ball. And a very, very good header as well. Early Delestal. The substitute. Makes it 3-0. That's the way to make an impact off the bench. Did speak about her threat in the air. Here's Piquet. Just didn't have a look there. Montorubiano was there to nick it back for Sassuolo. But overall Stefano Sottili will be really, really delighted with this performance and this result. Here's Smielinski looking to put a dent in the scoreline. Don't with the shot. Just off target in the end. Now Piquet. Engema. That's the last action as the final whistle blows on what's been a very, very satisfactory evening for Stefano Sottili's team. 3-0 winners in the end. Julia Karlanash in the first half. Zara Kramzor just before halftime. Making it 2-0. And then substitute. Early Delestal. 15 minutes from time with a header to the net.
