Hello everyone and welcome back to my channel! Today we are taking a closer look at the trend
that we love to talk about the most and that is the forecast of the top color trends for 2025.
If you have seen my annual reports you know that in the annual one, like the whole year,
my favorite thing to end on is always color because anyone can do it, anyone can participate,
and I just feel like it gives us some really good insight on what to pull to the front of
our wardrobe. So today we're going to be investigating Vogue, Who It Wear, Refinery29,
and a really exciting new one when it comes to colors, and that is Pinterest trends. And of
course we are going to look at the Pantone of the year as well, so as you know I love to cross
reference, I love to make lists, people are saying different things, and there are definitely some
that are most certainly the same. Pick and choose, you don't have to do all of these,
some of you may think, oh my gosh she mentioned every single color, but it's simply not true.
There are a few that definitely stand out, that extra little bit of inspiration,
and I think it's just so cool to see designers play within the same palette. If you are new here,
hi, my name is Amanda, I love to talk about style, lifestyle, home decor, travel whenever I can.
I just recently went to Vienna and I incorporated a couple of these colors
into my packing, so if you haven't seen that before I will post that video up above,
but as for this video, I think it's time that we spark some inspiration for our spring and summer
wardrobe. Oh my goodness, I've never been so ready for a season in my life, I don't know about you,
let's dive right in. Also side note, if I'm looking a little tired, it's because I definitely
am. If you are new here, I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy, so these videos are really fun to
talk about because I don't necessarily have to try on a bunch of bits, but what I have done
is worn the first color that we're going to talk about today, and that color is butter yellow.
Let's ease into the list with something soft, something dreamy. Butter yellow and this creamy
pastel is like sunshine in a bottle, warm, inviting, and effortlessly chic, and honestly,
I think it looks amazing on everyone. We saw it dominate the runways and it's already being hailed
as a new neutral of spring. That is right, yellow coming in as a neutral, who knew it?
All depends on the hue though, so whether you're styling it in your clothing or you're even
using it as an accent in your home decor, it instantly adds fresh happiness and a luminous
touch. Picture buttery yellow sweaters like this paired with white jeans or even a spring yellow
ceramic in your home. I did this most recently on my trip with a really dark charcoal blazer and
then mixed it with some maroon that had been trending, but the yellow just really brought it
to life, and it's Pinterest that describes it as playful yet sophisticated, so it's perfect for
bringing that warmth into your life. Side note, throughout this video, I would love to know what
colors you are really vibing with and what ones you're like, I cannot wait to add that to my
wardrobe. There are always going to be colors that we just feel like are marmite for us,
and I'm going to mention some for me in this video, but let's focus on the positive. What
are we loving and what are we so excited to wear this year? The next one is also the color that I
feel like just screams spring, and that is soft pink. Now, this color has been stealing the show
across many lists. Soft pink, and this is one of the two that were mentioned in the 2025 trends
video, that's how much we were hearing it, so it was kind of like, this is a trend. If you haven't
heard of it yet, it's like that ballet slipper, cotton candy, romantic tones of like a tea rose
garden. So this is no longer that Barbie core, it's more that neutral natural progression from
that hot pink Barbie core that we were seeing just a few years ago. It's more subdued, it's more
versatile, and we're all coming into our like ballet Pilates princess vibe with this one. It's
designers like Ferragamo, Simon Rocha, so much romance on that runway, showcasing dreamy layers,
layered fabric, tulle, roses within their dresses. I'm really imagining soft pink cardigans, flowy
dresses, and even accessories like scarves, handbags. If you have got a neutral neutral wardrobe,
add just a little touch of pink for this spring summer. Why not? If you have never imagined
yourself in pink before, it's a really fun color to play with, especially in your accessories,
because it's a really approachable way to incorporate color. And yeah, soft pink is just
gorgeous. Both butter yellow and soft pink, so approachable for spring. This next one we have
been seeing year after year, and I'm excited that we're still seeing it, is cherry red. If you love
a bold moment, cherry red is your new best friend. I've been seeing so many cute flats
and different accessories, and it definitely draws your attention for the past few seasons,
which means to say that this could be a neutral, I mean obviously not really a neutral, but it
could be a piece that you do carry season to season, lowering that cost for wear. This color
screams confidence, and is definitely being used in everything from shoes to bags, head-to-toe
monochrome looks, so powerful, I'm obsessed. I feel like this color is the color that your
parents would tell you to wear to a job interview so that the interviewer remembers you. It's
designers like Bottega Veneta, Miu Miu, really leaning into this vibrant hue, statement dresses
and accessories, and it's not just about the drama though. Cherry red is timeless, and can definitely
work across seasons like we've already talked about. So imagine a red coat or a boot with a
neutral outfit for the winter, but then embracing that full romance in a midi dress in a beautiful
linen for summer wedding. It's the ultimate power color, and when it comes to color trends, if you're
not looking to add to your wardrobe again in a bold red, and you're like, I actually don't know
if that's for me, what I would recommend is not even an accessory, but a nail color, or a lipstick,
or a blusher. We've really talked about warm hues. Now number four is one of my favorite forever, so
when I see things that are trending that are already favorites in my wardrobe, this gets me
excited, because it just means we're going to see more of it, and that is icy blue and periwinkle.
Moving into the cooler tones, let's talk about how these just pair so well, and were mentioned so
many times on a few different lists. It's honestly, right now, these shades being a breath of fresh air
for the season, because we do talk about butter yellow and those pastels during the spring summer,
but that icy blue, it's ethereal, it's elegant, and it was everywhere on the runways. And then
there's periwinkle, which is a little bit of a departure from icy blue. They are definitely
different, but I'm not gonna lie, this is one of my absolute favorite colors ever to wear. Periwinkle
is playful, it's calm, it's amazing for spring, and it actually can pair nicely in through your summer,
fall, and even winter wardrobes, depending on the piece. And then with periwinkle accents, you can
also bring in like a bag, just for the right amount of fun. I have a Chloe Marcy saddle that is kind of
in that blue shade, and I love pairing it with my neutral outfits, because it just adds just a touch
of interest that isn't red, that we've been seeing everywhere, or maroon, that we've been seeing
everywhere. We've got the cooler tones, but this is one that I need to incorporate more in my wardrobe,
because I honestly, again, think it goes so well with so many people, especially when you've got a
nice tan, and that is tangerine. Who is ready for a pop of some zesty color? Tangerine adds just so
much brightness to your wardrobe. I'm not talking a deep burnt orange or anything like that, this is
juicy orange, playful, energetic, hard to resist when you see someone in the crowd wearing something
in tangerine, and it was definitely dramatic fabrics on the runways through Luwewe, Prada, and for
everyday wear, I would say flowy skirts, bold sweaters, or even just swapping some orange into your
makeup, like we were talking earlier with Blusher. Merit just came out with a really fun blush, I'll
put it in the description box, and I haven't been wearing mine lately, because I really think this
does a nod to spring summer, but if you've never tried a tangerine blush, go for it. Such a fun
addition to your wardrobe, and tangerine also is a color that pairs incredibly with neutrals, so
if you do have an urge to add tangerine, and you have a beautiful neutral purse, maybe add it in
a twilly or something like that. For years working at a weather station, it was so funny, I could
never wear green because of the green screen, so seeing shades of green and then being like, oh my
gosh, this is amazing, I can embrace this, it feels really good. Green has been a hot topic for a few
different years now, but it's been in terms of different kind of shades, and for this year,
we're really going that seafoam green, or what some are calling kind of frog green, it's kind of
everything within the family. Seafoam offers a soft yet muted option, it's relaxed, it's
sophisticated, whereas frog green, that's bold and fresh. So this is an opportunity where you really
get to choose what's comfortable for you. Designers like Victoria Beckham, Dries Van Noten, they have
really embraced these shades in their tailored dresses as well as their separates, and color
theory is so fun to dissect as well, because green is a grounding color, so it's easy to pair with
neutrals again, and like beige and contemporary tones, even like burgundy, green just kind of
complements it really nicely. This is where the overall trend for the past few years, that
elevated basics, is kind of getting a play this year. So just to make a little note here before
we get to chapter seven, maximalism, as I mentioned in the 2025 trends, maximalism is definitely going
to be bigger this year, and we're going to see it the next trend as well, but what's nice is because
we've kind of gotten our basics for the past couple years, I would say I definitely have invested in a
lot more basics, and I've really found my style that way. Now because I have those, there's a
really cool opportunity to kind of push the boat out a bit. So having a really nice neutral blazer,
but then putting this buttery yellow crew neck underneath, it gives you that pop of something
extra, and that opportunity to add some more personality. We always talk about a metallic when
it comes to color trends, so this year it's gold and a touch of silver. This was definitely mentioned
in the jewelry trends video, again I'll tag that one up above, but this one feels like it just comes
consistently showing that metallics are not just for the holiday season. Metallics are having a
major moment, and maybe it's that maximalism sneaking its way into every single season this
year. It's gold this year really leading the charge, but then silver kind of close up behind it,
so again choose your player. It adds instant luxury to every outfit, and it's a point of interest. So
maybe this year is about actually pulling your jewelry out and wearing it, and not saving it for
best. We're also seeing gold not only just in jewelry, which is kind of typical, but in shimmering
fabrics, and even on footwear. Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta, just a couple brands to really bring
this hue to life, and if you're not too into gold, totally fine. There is a slight nod to silver as well,
and some fashion journalists say silver is even making a bigger comeback now than we have seen
in a really long time. I feel like gold actually has been the topic of conversation. We are mixing
in spring for those fresh days, and then gold to bring some warmth to our jewelry and our overall
look. Also, I love this for us, and someone was like, we've been doing this for years, well I haven't
personally, but mixed metals are being talked about more than ever. We just want to wear it all, and I've
gotten a watch with mixed metals. I'm wearing my earrings. I didn't even plan that. I'm just sitting
talking about this. A point of interest to your outfit. So whatever floats your boat, just make
sure you've got a metallic rock in this year. Now let's talk about purple. I got, I'm not gonna lie
to you guys, I never talk about purple. This is the shade that I know personally is not for me, but it
be for you. So we are talking from bright violet to softer lilac tones. Lilac, I can get behind, but
it's those deep purples that I just don't think go with me, but they're bold, and they're striking,
and they're so much fun, and they look amazing on some people. Designers like Prada really embracing
that with open arms, using purple in everything from oversized rugby shirts to statement outerwear,
and purple is definitely touted as a versatile color. Perfect for those eye-catching looks across
seasons, and you can pair it again with neutrals, or just balance it out by going full monochrome.
That is cool too, and great for a head-turning look. You know what, you can see a range of purple within
the examples I'm showing you, so it's kind of just like purple, but when you talk about deep violet
to a lilac hue, that's a lot of different ranges you could have. Again, just choose your player. It
just wouldn't make sense to do a colors video without mentioning the color of the year, and that
is mocha mousse, and I would be taking a serious misstep if I didn't incorporate this into fashion
as well, because when we talk about pantone of the year, it's not just about the home. So mocha mousse,
what is it exactly? It's supposed to bring and evoke this rich warm brown hug of a color kind of
form, and brown was such a hot topic of conversation throughout the fall and the winter for the past
two seasons, and it's definitely coming back in things like suedes and just those rich deep
chocolate browns. This is supposed to be luxurious, versatile, and incredibly easy to style, which we
love. Mocha mousse is perfect for those who love earthy tones, and like I mentioned, suede or leather
jackets, cozy knits, I can get behind all of that, as well as in my home decor. What's nice about having
a rich color is it can often ground an outfit or a space, when then you want to add in things like
pinks and yellows and greens, and because we've talked about all of those, this is just all too
convenient. So if you're looking for a timeless color to invest in this year, and you don't feel
like you really nailed it yet with those neutrals, look for something in a shade of brown. Not only
will you be on trend, but this is going to be something timeless that we're going to come back
to year after year. And finally, number 10, speaking to the things we can come back to year after year,
you've got to talk about the new neutrals. The neutrals we normally talk about are like white,
black, gray, but the new neutrals, this is what I saved for last, because it's something that I am
so happy to be seeing. Warm tans, burgundy, off whites to beiges, charcoal grays, chocolate browns,
which we already talked about, and those rich navy hues. All of these, yes, you can definitely picture
them in your fall wardrobe, but absolutely in your spring summer wardrobe as well. They are rich,
they are elegant, and they are so sophisticated and amazing for creating that really high luxury,
but quiet luxury feel still. It's designers like Max Mara, The Row, they just do this so flawlessly
season after season, and they definitely showcased it this year, and it's tailored suits and cozy
outerwear that were incorporated with these colors. These tones are incredibly versatile, they work
well with bright pops of color, kind of like I mentioned, dark charcoal with this butter yellow,
and then the maroon bag just all worked so nicely, and that was just because I had a play in my
wardrobe. So if you have some time on the weekend, start having a play in your wardrobe. You may have
these tones already, but you may have never pulled them together in an outfit, and when we just talk
about bringing in neutrals, chocolate brown might be the one to anchor the most this year, and I can
really see the charcoal gray is going to be a big one for next year. So we've talked about fall winter,
but definitely this applies to the warmer months too. And there you have it my loves, thank you for
staying with me. I don't have a lot of breath these days, so I really tried to get my words
out quickly, so so sorry if that came across. Baby boy's kicking me the whole time, he's very
excited about these color trends, and these were the top color trends for 2025. I'm really excited
to see more color on the scene, but mixed in with those timeless shades. It gives us an opportunity
to still evoke an elegant, timeless feel, and create a wardrobe that's going to last a really
long time, which is not only great for the planet, but also great for us investing in those core
pieces. But having a little fun, periwinkle, burgundy, chocolate browns, and those classic
spring hues that you love to see as soon as the winter jacket goes away. Trust me,
I've never been so excited. What are you going to be doing this year? Are you going to be adding
cherry red, or are you going to go more soft and soothing with butter yellow, or are you going to
get that punch with tangerine in your wardrobe? I would love to hear, and thank you so much for
sticking out with me. I know I've put a lot of vlogs out lately, and maybe you follow me for my
fashion content, but I can definitely see a really fun series coming when we are full on
momming. I feel myself again, and my body again, and we can start styling things in the wardrobe
a little bit more, you know, live-like. So I hope you don't mind these videos. If there's any other
trends you'd like to see, these were actually the only ones I had planned for this year, so if
there's anything else you'd like to see, I would love to know in the comments down below. Someone
was mentioning hairstyles and nail styles, so maybe we'll tap into the trends of beauty as well,
but I appreciate you so much, and thanks for sticking it out. It's an exciting season
for all of us to see the sun come up here in the northern hemisphere and melt in that snow. I'm
waffling on now because I don't want to let you go, but I love you, and we'll see you in the next
one. Bye, guys.
