To perpetuate his father's own passion, Harvey decides to enter the photo competition for the Park's Visitor's Guide. When he finds out about his rival - Samantha's- high-tech equipment, Harvey asks Doctor Dudley to tweak his camera to be able to take spectacular photos, even if it means putting himself in danger.

They call me lessee, if you need somebody, I will never let you down.
I will find the key, you can trust in me, I'm a friend to everyone.
And I go, go under the rainbow, I will be your call, your call.
And I go, go never take it slow, I will help you all, you all.
What is it, Lassie? Are we close?
Thanks for showing us, Lassie.
They're beautiful.
Say cheese!
Look over here! Stupid sheep!
Samantha, don't!
Samantha, no! That's a sign of aggression!
What? What do you want? Some grass?
Samantha, run!
Come back! Come back!
What's the deal? I just...
Whoa! Calm down! Calm down, everyone!
Hey, there's a sheep!
Are you incredibly stupid or just crazy?
What? Lassie!
Samantha, you can't approach a mother and her lamb like that!
Why not? I was doing the stupid sheep a favor by taking its picture!
Just you wait! One of my shots is going to be on the cover of this year's Visitor's Guide!
And then you'll be sorry!
The Visitor's Guide. I guess that explains her sudden interest in wildlife.
Her shot is going to be on the cover?
Didn't you know?
For the first time this year, the ranger's office is taking submissions from amateur photographers for the cover of next season's Visitor's Guide.
So technically, that means anyone can submit a photo, right?
Right. Is there a certain anyone you had in mind?
If Samantha can take pictures that are good enough for the cover of next year's Visitor's Guide, then so can I!
Here it is, sweetie.
Thanks, Mom!
This was my dad's camera.
Wow! It's beautiful! I've never seen anything like it!
That's because they don't make them like this anymore. It's a vintage 35mm film camera.
My dad loved photography. He won all kinds of awards and everything.
First place, second place, first place, best photograph? Wow!
Yeah, he left the camera to me. I even took a class to learn how to use it.
I just... I never had the courage to actually try taking any pictures with it myself.
But why not?
I don't know. I mean, what if I'm not as good at it as he was?
You'll never know unless you try!
I don't know.
Harvey, your dad left you his camera because he believed in you. And guess what? So do we!
Thanks, guys. You're the best friends ever.
Should we get started?
Right! Let's go submit a picture for the cover of the Visitor's Guide!
Quick! Hide!
First, we're going to need some 35mm film. And I have a hunch where we can find some. Come on!
Did you guys hear that?
Uh, I think so.
Yeah. Which part exactly?
The important part. The part where anyone can submit pictures to be considered for the cover of the Visitor's Guide.
Oh, why? What's so important about that? They do it every year.
It's important because this year is going to be different. Because this year, the winning photograph is going to be taken by us!
Oh no. These ideas of yours always end badly.
What do we know about wildlife photography?
We don't need to know about photography. We're experts on the wildlife park. In fact, we are wildlife.
No human knows more about wildlife than we do. Name one reason why we can't take the winning photograph ourselves.
Uh, we don't have a camera?
He's right!
We don't!
And since when do we ever let a minor detail like that stand in our way? Come on! Who's with me?
What makes you think Doc Dudley is going to have film?
Trust me. Doc has one foot in the future and one foot in the past. He has everything.
What was that?
That's Dee Dee. It stands for Doc's drone. Get it? Dee Dee. She's my latest invention.
Very impressive, Doc. What can she do?
Ha! What can't she do? Watch this. Breakfast is served!
We actually ate.
Uh-oh. That doesn't sound good, does it?
What's happening?
Watch out!
And the house is clean!
It still needs a few tweaks.
But that's actually a big improvement.
35mm film. 35mm film. Would I put it under 35? Or could I...
Ha ha ha! Here we go. Found it!
Thanks, Doc.
Here, let me load the camera for you.
Oh! There's an old roll of film already in here.
It must have been my dad's. His last roll of film. I wonder what was on it.
Was? But the film is still there.
Yeah, but it's been exposed to daylight now. It's probably ruined.
Let's find out, shall we?
Looks like they haven't all been ruined.
That's you as a baby, Harvey.
Your dad had a great eye. It's obvious he took pictures of the things that inspired him the most.
You think so?
Yes, totally. You can feel it when you look at his pictures. They're all from his heart.
That's exactly what a film camera allows you to do. Take pictures from the heart.
Okay, so it's a bit fiddly, what with the settings and the focusing.
But when you get it right, you get pictures as exceptional as this one.
I hope I can do the same.
I'm sure you can. Just listen to your heart, like your dad did.
The coast is clear.
Let's go.
There has to be a camera in here we can borrow.
Hey, here's one.
You want to take pictures, not make phone calls, Pika.
Blooper. Today all cell phones take pictures. I don't even know if they make phone calls anymore.
But I'm sure they can take pictures.
He's right. There must be a camera feature on here somewhere.
We just have to figure out how to use it.
I think my dad stood right on this spot and took this picture.
He probably loved this spot. It's pretty easy to see why.
Don't move, okay? I need to take a test shot to make sure the film's properly loaded.
Got it. Now I'm ready to go and get some shots for the visitor's guide.
Let's go.
Hey, wait. What if I climb to the top and take a picture from up there?
Great idea. The view should be amazing from up there.
Hey! Oh no! My dad's camera!
No, let me go! Maybe he wants to submit a photo for the visitor's guide.
One of us has to climb it.
I'm on it.
Yes!
Thanks, Zoe.
Thanks for ruining my genius shot, guys. Can't you find another place to photograph?
No, of course.
You're cheating by following me because you know my artistic sense is better than yours.
Don't tell me you're planning to take photos with that old thing.
This camera's a classic.
Which is just another way of saying it's old. You have to catch up with the times.
My camera lens has a 7.8 billion megapixel sensor.
It's also Wi-Fi enabled and has a Steadicam feature so I can take shots while running.
But don't worry, Harvey. You still have a good chance of winning.
If you take your time machine back to the 1950s.
Don't listen to a thing she says, Harvey.
It's the photographer that counts, not all that fancy equipment.
Maybe Samantha's right.
My old film camera can't take sophisticated shots like hers because it's from a different time.
But maybe I need to find a way to compete with her to get the most amazing shot that even she can't take.
Wait a sec. I think I know just the thing.
Um, are you sure it's gonna work?
Don't my inventions always work?
You know, I mean, after the countless series of catastrophic failures.
But we're past that stage with the drone now. We repaired it.
Doc and I connected my camera to the drone so I can operate it remotely.
Now I can fly this anywhere in the park and take pictures.
There's no way Samantha can match this.
Turn the left knob, Harvey. Not your left, my left.
I guess I should practice some more.
What was that?
It's a UFO. Quick, get a picture of it.
Wait, where's the camera hiding in this thing?
Hey, me, can I try?
No, give it to me, give it to me.
It's an invasion.
I think I'm getting the hang of it.
You're looking good. Watch your speed.
Harvey, watch out. What are you doing?
Trying to do my best.
That's a great work. It will help you in life. See, she approves too.
Thanks, Lassie.
That was a great landing, Harvey.
I think I finally got the hang of it.
I'm going to make some more adjustments to the radio frequency, locking in the wavelength.
Radio frequency?
Yes. Think of this remote like a garage door opener.
It operates on a unique signal to navigate the drone.
Watch what I've done. You'll be ready to take Dee Dee out and take some great pictures.
Awesome.
This is the coolest.
There's no way Samantha will be able to compete with this.
I don't know. I think I need to go where no one has ever gone in the park.
Some place really special so I can take the most amazing photo.
Harvey, I think every inch of this park has been covered.
Except for one. A place where no man has ever set foot.
Where?
You'll see. Follow me.
Okay, which way is up? I have no idea where.
Wait, did I?
I did. I did it. I took a picture. I say we submit this one.
Are you kidding? Your thumb is on the lens and you don't even have thumbs.
Besides, I think a picture of me would win.
Let's not get carried away. Everyone knows I'm the cutest here.
No way. I am.
Phew. Good thing you saved the phone.
That's not the only thing I did. Look.
These geysers are really dangerous.
They can release poisonous gases into the air.
We can't get any closer than we already are.
I know. This is as close as my dad got. But I'm getting closer.
Oh no, you're...
Don't worry. The drone's getting closer.
I'm going to fly it over the hot springs and get some shots no one ever has before.
So that's what you meant about going somewhere no one has ever been.
Exactly. And if I'm lucky, maybe one of the geysers will arrive.
Stop right here. There they are.
Whoa. These geysers are the coolest, don't you think?
Pipe down, Nick. We're here to bring down that drone, not go sightseeing.
Where's that toy remote I told you to bring?
In the glove box. What are you going to do with it?
Did you ever stop talking?
Hey!
Harvey, what's going on?
I don't know. Something's messing with the frequency. It's not responding.
Ah!
Oh no! My dad's camera!
Harvey? No! Wait!
Lassie, no! Go for him! Get my dad!
You can get there faster!
Go, girl! You're the only one who can do it! Quick!
Harvey?
And the winner is me!
See what's so funny?
You're kidding, right?
Listen!
Harvey!
Where are you?
Zoe and Harvey are in danger!
We need to get help!
If only we had a phone.
Oh, right.
Lassie?
Okay, Lassie. Quick. Take me to her, Earl.
What was that?
Did it work?
No, but I think we just emailed the last photo of Houdini to everyone on Mrs. Lee's contact list.
Are you telling me that Zoe and Harvey are in there?
Apparently, yes. But why? What have they done this time?
Lassie?
I can't see where we're going!
I think it's this way.
Oh no! Harvey! Hold on! I'll carry you!
Lassie!
Here. Take a deep breath.
Zoe!
You're safe, both of you. That's great.
Harvey, hot springs are extremely dangerous. You need to stay in the safety zone at all times.
I know. I'm sorry, Zoe. I didn't mean to put you in danger.
I just couldn't let my dad's camera be destroyed.
Oh no!
The film's been exposed to daylight.
All my pictures are ruined!
I'm sure Doc can do something about it.
It doesn't matter. As long as we're safe.
Come on. I'll drive you there.
I've got some good news and some bad news, Harvey.
Start with the bad news.
Except for one, all your pictures are gone. Erased. Nada. Zip. Furnished. Bye-bye.
Oh no!
And the good news?
I can restore them all!
Really?
Well, maybe. I think. Perhaps.
You see, I'm working on a new technique for mapping silver nitrate on exposed film.
Now, I haven't actually gotten it to work, but I'm sure I'll get there.
Eventually. Maybe.
Is that the picture that survived, Doc?
Yes. It was the first picture on the roll, so it wasn't exposed.
That's my test shot.
But Harvey, if you give me to the end of the day, or week, or month, I'm almost positive. Really. Almost certain.
I think I can maybe get those other pictures back. It's a 50-50 chance.
No thanks, Doc. I think I have what I need. I just need to develop this.
I just know your photo will be there, Harvey.
I hope you're right.
Keep dreaming, Harvey. This girl has the competition sewn up big time.
My picture is going to look so good here.
Get used to it. Toodles!
Ladies, gentlemen, park friends.
It's time to announce this year's winner for the Visitor's Guide.
But before I do, I have to say all the submissions were extraordinary, which only proves one thing.
We are indeed fortunate to be surrounded by such beauty.
And protecting it is our duty.
So, with no further ado, this year's winner for the Visitor's Guide cover is...
My picture! It's my picture!
I won, Zoe! They chose my picture!
There's got to be some mistake. This can't be happening to me.
I think it's beautiful. Don't you see? It came straight from his heart and chose...
Oh, just shut up, Nick.
Your father would be so proud. What made you take that picture?
I just saw my two best friends and took their picture.
It's genuine, Harvey. Just like your father's pictures always were.
Don't go home yet, folks. I also have another winner tonight.
For the first time, we're going to include a photo on the back cover.
I wish I could tell you who the photographer was, but the submission was...
What can I say? I'm naturally photogenic.
But I took the picture!
You did not! I did!
No way! I did!
