No winner! ｜ Shabab Al Ahli Dubai (UAE) - Sharjah FC (UAE) ｜ Highlights ｜ AFC Champions League Two

The big two from the United Arab Emirates clash in the AFC Champions League 2 quarterfinal first leg with tensions running high between the rivals. Shabab Al-Ali topped the domestic pro league and Insada Asmoon have won of the joint top scorers in the competition with 8 goals, including 4 in the round of 16 against Al-Waqdat. Sharjar meanwhile have won their last two on the road in this tournament and got through the last round on penalties against Al-Hussein of Jordan. Caio is their main goal scoring threat. The last league match between these two was won by Shabab Al-Ali with 3 red cards being shown. And it's a typically feisty start to the match with defences on top as the first chance here comes in the 39th minute for Sharjar but it's claimed in the end by Ahmed Bali. Perhaps late drama coming here towards the end of stoppage time as Sharjar coming forward once more. Couple of lovely flicks here on the left hand side as Luanzinho sends it across the goalkeeper deals with it and it's off the line there by Iago Santos. Ousmane Kamara it was with the final effort as the ball was pinballing around in the box. Half time nil-nil more perspiration and inspiration but that late chance gives us hope for the second half. And straight from kick off Shabab Al-Ali flood forwards here it's a lovely ball forward for Azmoun and there's our opener 1-0-2 Shabab Al-Ali. A ball straight down the middle from Saeed Izzatullahi and it's a clinical finish from Azmoun really cleverly done. Sharjar completely caught cold it's a brilliant start to the second half though. Into the 52nd minute as Sharjar look to come back into it a deep ball in here towards Caio at the far stick and it's saved by Ahmed Bali and Luanzinho skying over the rebound. Luanzinho perhaps could have played it back across. The next chance for Shabab Al-Ali as Milivojevic lines up the free kick and it just brushes the roof of the net. Pressure growing here now from the home side as Azmoun looks up crosses the ball in and Dabu is there he makes the turn and the save is made by Al-Hosani as we go straight down the other end now though for Sharjar as Luanzinho picks up the possession and fires just wide of the near post. A really open match now as Sharjar continue to come forward but the ball at the feet here of Planic but he has been caught in possession it's a lovely ball through towards Caio and Al-Ali finishes it in some style that's a massive goal in this tie it is the equaliser as it's brilliant play from Tarabtier to win the ball and thread it through to Caio he takes his time and it's a beautiful finish. Just over 15 minutes to go now we're looking for a winner Shabab Al-Ali there's a deep ball here towards Saeed Izzatullahi but he heads it well over the bar a much more entertaining second half on as even after the first leg the return next week will be an absolute barnstormer Sharjar may fancy themselves to go through but the tie is wide open.
