When Zoe and Harvey visit the new dam at the edge of the park, the noises emanating from the construction upset Lassie who refuses to go any closer. When she understands the valley can be flooded due to Nick's error, Lassie has to draw on her inner strength to overcome the stress the sounds of the dam are causing her and save the kids trapped inside the dam.

They call me lessee, if you need somebody, I will never let you down.
I will find the key, you can trust in me, I'm a friend to everyone.
And I go, go, under the rainbow, I will hear you call, you call.
And I go, go, never take it slow, I will help you all, you all.
Check you out Zoe, we can definitely file this one under fashion don'ts.
Give it to me.
Nope, this is a keeper.
Come on Harvey, give it to me.
What?
Thanks for reminding me lessee, like I'm going to take fashion advice from the guy not wearing pants.
What can I say, that's not my good side.
Come on, there has to be some more good ones of you in here.
Oh, that was when lessee was just a puppy.
Remember how timid and scared she used to be?
She had nightmares every night.
I know, but I'd always sing her the same lullaby to calm her down.
Wouldn't I girl?
They call me lessee, if you need somebody.
Hey kids, I'm finally done fixing the old tractor in the barn.
How would you guys like to head out to Trout Valley to check out the new dam?
I know it's a little far from the park.
Are you kidding? We'd love to dad.
The Wheeler Canyon Dam, it's the newest and most cutting edge high altitude hydroelectric levee in the state.
Did anyone ever tell you that you have a talent for making even the most exciting things sound boring?
You know Zoe, books aren't really her thing.
What was that?
It's coming from the barn.
It's not my fault.
I saw that the old tractor was all fixed up and I couldn't resist taking a nap in the glove box.
I didn't do anything to start up the engine.
At least, you know, not intentionally.
Guys, why did you start the tractor?
Lessee, where are you going?
Lessee, what's wrong?
It's the noise. I need to get out of here.
I've never seen her act like that.
Gosh, what's come over her?
Mr. Parker, that old tractor of yours is looking good as new.
Thanks, Arby. But I must have forgotten to turn the engine off.
What is it girl? What's the matter?
The noise seems to really be bothering Lessee.
There, that's better. Right, girl?
With her keen hearing, her ears are probably super sensitive to certain loud sounds.
The Wheeler Dam is a marvel of modern engineering.
It has a base width of 125 meters, stands 200 meters tall, and has dual 45 degree sloping crests along the face.
How is it that you always seem to know everything about everything?
It's called reading. You should try it sometime.
Ha, ha. What is this book?
The Technical Specifications of Modern Hydroelectric Dams?
Sounds like a real page turner.
Here we are.
It's beautiful.
The lines at the base of this dam are capable of generating enough electricity to power the entire valley.
How would you like to go inside and see how it all works?
Inside? You mean all the way inside?
Can we do that, Dad?
We can with this all-access pass.
Wow, so cool.
Thanks, Dad.
Being a park ranger has its privileges.
Oh.
Lassie?
What is it, girl?
What's the matter?
The noise.
Heavy machinery.
That's what's bothering her.
Harvey, you go on ahead.
It's okay, Lassie.
We don't have to go inside.
Come on. You and I will wait back on the trail.
I think Lassie will be okay out here on her own.
She wouldn't want you to miss out on seeing inside the dam.
Really? Are you sure, girl?
Okay. Go wait for us at the trail.
We'll be right back.
And I'll leave this door open, just in case you need us.
You said this was the best fishing spot in all of Trout Valley.
Well, it was.
But it appears the new dam, you know, might have lowered the water level just a tad.
Maybe we'll find some crawdads in the stream.
Crawdads?
Mr. Humphrey, your boss, said you were the best fishing guide.
If you ever want to work for the hotel again, I suggest you find me some trout.
Of course, Mr. Walty, sir.
Trout coming right up.
I can just get a little water through to my old fishing spot.
Wait here, Mr. Walty. Be right back.
Stupid.
The entire dam is computerized.
On this panel, you can see the turbine water pressure.
Next up, I'll show you those famous turbines.
Wow, amazing.
Ha, look.
1824 by Benoit Fourneron, some French guy.
So, to make power for the internet in your video games, we use water in these fantastic engines.
Called turbines.
The force of the water spins the turbines, and this generates electricity.
And noise, too. It's a good thing Massey put it outside.
Mr. Parker, Mr. Parker, what is that thing?
Ah, well spotted.
It's a flywheel to release water into the river when the water level in the reservoir is too high.
That sensor notifies the crew remotely.
The sensor's like an alarm.
Ready to go?
Yeah.
This dam are amazing. Loud, but amazing.
There's nothing better than fresh air.
That's funny. I thought we left that door open for Lassie.
Oh, Lassie.
Too much noise for you, girl?
Poor Lassie.
She's probably just had a stressful day, that's all.
Come on, Lassie. Let's get you home.
Which one is it? Maybe this one?
The first choice is always the best.
Bingo!
This could be really, really bad.
You just had to take a nap in the glove box, didn't you?
What can I say? I'm the king of napping. No harm done.
No harm? Look at Biff. He's heartbroken.
Heartbroken? But why?
One way to find out.
Hey, easy on the merchandise.
Your friends are here for you. Tell us what's wrong.
It's Lassie.
Of course it is.
What else? Don't you get it?
She's never going to visit us here anymore.
Not after she was frightened off by the noises made by that tractor.
Oh, cheer up, Biff.
This problem is easily solved. Right, guys?
Right. The tractor wasn't an issue before when it didn't work, right?
Right. So all we have to do is un-fixing all the fixing that was done.
Everything will be back to normal.
Really? You think that will work?
Sure it will. No more tractor, no more noise to keep Lassie away.
And we'll begin by taking off the wheels.
Let's pack up and head out.
There's a much better fishing spot for trout over in the next valley. Hurry.
I came to fish in Trout Valley, not the next one.
Wait, Mr. Walty. Don't head that way. It isn't a good idea.
Not a good idea? Look, there's trout right there.
Trout? Let's get fishing.
Oh, no.
I'm begging you, Mr. Walty, sir. We need to move away from the dam before it's too late.
Roger that. I'm on my way.
I need to get back to the park right away.
But I can swing by here later this afternoon to pick you up.
Thanks, Dad. That would be great.
Yeah. We still want to check out some of the hiking trails over by the dam.
Fine. Kids, be careful, okay?
See you.
Lassie, where are you going?
You better follow me.
Time, Zoe. Look how fast the water is rising.
Something isn't right.
There must be something wrong with the dam.
That's what Lassie was trying to tell us back there.
Come on. We have to go back and check it out.
We'll be back. Stay where you are.
As if we had another choice.
Best fishing guide, my foot.
Would you mind helping me climb this rock, please, Mr. Best Guide?
Looks like the floodgates are wide open.
That's bad, isn't it?
Really bad, I think. But why aren't the warning alarms going off?
Stay back!
Come on. We need to do something.
Zoe, the door is open.
Somebody's inside?
Let's see.
Wait out here, Lassie. We'll be right back.
The dam is totally messed up.
What can we do?
The flywheel. Of course.
I hope it isn't too late.
Look. The flywheel has snapped right off.
I don't understand. Everything was fine before.
And check this. All the sensors on the wall are shorted out.
That's why there's no alarm or warning signal.
You mean we're the only ones that know?
We need to do something.
I'm working on it.
It's no use. It's broken clean off.
Oh no. What happens if we can't shut those floodgates?
If this pressure keeps building, the dam won't hold.
The entire valley could be flooded.
There must be another way.
Some kind of backup safety valve thingy?
You're right. And I know just where to find it.
In my book. Hooray for reading.
Well, you better read faster.
Never leave a friend in need.
Okay, fine. But no more fooling around.
Let's show this thing who's the boss.
Annexes, emergencies, overheating adapters, pressure management.
There. Emergency floodgates.
All dams have an emergency floodgate that can be used as a backup
in the event the main floodgate has a technical issue.
Judging from this diagram, it should be right on the other side of that door.
Come on.
Wait. I bet it's locked.
What did I tell you? Locked.
There must be a switch on the console that unlocks it.
Yeah, but which switch? If we hit the wrong one, it might make things worse.
How much worse can it get? Let's just try them all.
Oh, brother.
Try another one.
It's not. It's a flood control door closing, and it's going to seal us in here.
We need to get out of here while we can. Quick!
Let me go!
You shouldn't have come down here, girl. And now you're stuck here with us.
Oh, man. Could things get any worse?
You just had to ask.
Oh, no. Without power, we'll never get that door unlocked.
Hey, you're going to knock me over.
Who better you than me?
Gotcha.
Hang on, Mr. Walty.
So we can reach the backup valve.
The ventilation duct.
Good work, girl.
Yeah, but it's really high. But I can do it.
Let me do it. You know I'm good for this.
I know you'd say that.
Lassie! No, Lassie! You can't go in there!
The noise is going to be so much worse!
Lassie, stop!
Be careful, Lassie!
We're right here with you, girl!
Be careful! Gun!
It's going to be okay, Lassie!
Lassie!
Zoe, no! Don't despair now, or Lassie will, too!
Comfort her, Zoe, now!
Lassie! Remember when you were little and I'd sing you lullabies to comfort you?
They call me Lassie if you need somebody.
I will never let you down.
I will find the key.
You can trust in me.
I am a friend to everyone.
When you need somebody, I will never let you down.
She answered!
Great! Look around the room, Lassie! There has to be a lever!
Lassie?
Okay, I think she's in there!
Great! Can you get down now? Because it's getting worse and worse down here!
Lassie! The lever! Activate the lever! Quick!
She did it!
I can't believe it! We're saved!
Don't move, Lassie! We'll open that door!
Now we have to open it!
Yeah, you want to try?
But...
Oh, Lassie, you did it! I was so scared for you!
Check out this security camera footage from earlier today!
Look like anyone we know?
Nick, of course!
That's it! Just a little more!
Mika, you got to think of a Bob Gizmo! You know, the one that pops the wheels off!
Hey, how come you get to take a snack break?
Because supervising can be very hard work!
Did someone say snack? Where is it? Where?
Oh, that can't be good! Please avoid touching anything!
Hey, where are you going?
We're...
Turn right! Right!
All right, you can get down now!
Thank you, boy!
Did you know that the dam has security cameras monitoring it at all times?
Why do you ask me that?
We just saw some amazing footage! And guess who was starring?
Well, definitely not me! It must have been someone that looked like me!
I never went anywhere near that control room!
Funny! You never said anything about a control room!
I'm so sorry! I didn't think it would hurt to add a little more water back into my favorite fishing spot!
I swear to you, I didn't mean for any of this to happen!
What?!
Not only did I not catch any trout to take back to my kids, but now I hear you nearly got me killed?!
You can be very sure that I am going to report this! I will report it!
I'm really sorry, Mr. Walty! All I wanted was for you to enjoy some good trout fishing!
Calm down, everyone! Look what I found!
And guess what? It's full of trout over here!
They're true! They're trout! I've never seen so many! This is a real miracle!
Be careful!
Thanks, guys! I owe you one for that!
Actually, you shouldn't thank us. Thank Lassie! Without her, we'd all be underwater right now!
Thanks, Lassie!
Thanks, guys! You did your best!
Welcome home, Lassie!
My sofa! I never thought I'd be so happy to see it again!
Yeah! We deserve a long nap! Like a few days long!
Lassie? You must be exhausted, too!
Lassie?
Dreams, Lassie! You've earned them!
