Hey there and welcome to my home.
Happy March!
I hope that you are doing well.
You know that I love to decorate for every season and holiday, and of course, St. Patrick's
Day is no exception, so in today's video, I'm adding some festive touches around the
house for the Irish holiday.
Now in this video, you might notice that some of my decor looks a little bit different here
and there.
That's because I actually filmed this back in March of 2023.
I had every intention of sharing it back then, but life happened and I never got around to
uploading it.
But honestly, this St. Patrick's Day setup is still one of my absolute favorite designs
for this holiday, so I thought it was worth sharing here with you now.
So I hope that you enjoy this video.
Try to spot the differences.
What things have I updated in my living room?
I'm sure some of you already know, but there are a few things, a few blasts from the past
in this video.
So anyway, I know that when it comes to St. Patrick's Day, a lot of what you find in stores
leans more towards party decor, and there isn't always as much variety as there is for
other holidays.
That can make it a bit tricky to find pieces that work for a more styled everyday look.
So I hope that this video gives you a little bit of inspiration if you love decorating
for St. Paddy's, whether it is a small vignette, a pop of green and gold, or even some subtle
florals and clovers, of course, that we associate with the holiday.
I'll show you how to incorporate those classic St. Patrick's Day elements in a way that
I hope feels a bit more elevated and elegant.
So let's get to decorating.
I do get asked a lot about the old books that I use in my decor from time to time.
Most of them are really special to me because they're family heirlooms.
I have my grandfather's and my great-grandfather's book collections, but I also often get asked
how to source vintage books.
So if you're looking to start your own collection, there are a few great places to check.
If you don't have a dedicated vintage bookstore nearby, local antique stores are a great option.
And if you have a half-priced books in your area, definitely take a look there.
People often sell their old collections there, and I've even come across some amazing first
editions at my local shop.
So if you love incorporating vintage books into your decor also, those are just a couple
of places to start your search.

I found this faux clover greenery on Amazon a couple of years ago.
And if it's still available, I'll have it linked below.
Greenery like this is such an easy way to incorporate clovers for St. Patrick's Day.
It gives a subtle nod to the holiday without feeling too over the top.
And it also blends beautifully with the spring season.
Just a simple, understated touch.

I did do a little bit of paper crafting for St. Patrick's Day back in 2023.
I wanted to add a few Irish sayings around the house, so I printed them out onto watercolor
paper along with some four-leaf clovers, just graphics that I found on Canva, for an
extra festive touch.
Instead of cutting the paper around the quotes, I like to tear around the edges just to give
it a rough, more textured look.
I think it just adds a little bit more character.
🎶
It isn't quite St. Patrick's Day without a pot of gold, and in this house that means
a candy dish filled with Rolos.
🎶
Switching out the prints in the breakfast room to match the holiday or season is a little
whimsical touch that I enjoy incorporating into my decor.
For the St. Patty's Day prints that you see here, I actually created these using graphics
from Canva.
🎶
Since March is when everything starts to turn green and come alive again, I wanted this
centerpiece to feel like a little garden bed filled with fresh greenery and clovers, a
simple nod to both the fresh season and the holiday.

for March but can easily stay out all season long.

Thank you so much for decorating with me today.
I hope this video gave you a little inspiration if you are decorating for St. Patrick's Day
this season or if you just wanted to soak in the seasonal vibes, I hope it did that
too.
When I share these videos, my goal isn't to just inspire you to decorate but also to bring
a bit of the season and its celebrations to you and celebrate with you here on YouTube.
I hope I was able to do a little bit of that today.
This is just the beginning of our spring decorating here on my channel.
There are so many spaces that I want to refresh for the season and I cannot wait to bring
the color back into this house.
Welcome the bunnies for Easter and let the butterflies flutter in as a little reminder
that change is beautiful.
I will of course be bringing you along with me as I decorate every room and all the things
for the season.
So I hope to see you again very soon in the next one.
Until I do, take care and happy decorating!
