Exercises for Seniors

With spring and summer around the corner, it's a great time
to take your strength training routine outside.
There are a few exercises that you can try in almost any park.
Squats are a great lower body exercise, and they incorporate most
of the major muscle groups in your legs and your core.
Step ups are a great way to incorporate balance training
into your lower body strength training.
Planks are a great upper body exercise, but they can be pretty difficult.
By adding an incline, it decreases the intensity and makes it
so everybody can be successful.
Push ups can also be a very challenging exercise,
but by adding an incline, I promise they'll be easier.
For push ups, step ups, and squats, aim for 10 to 15 reps for one to three sets.
And for planks, try to hold for five to 15 seconds,
and then progressively add more time.
You never know how long you'll be able to go for.
