Who wants lasting hair nutrition? 🙋🏻♀️
How to Apply Your *Mask* (regardless of the brand)
Begin by gently detangling your hair, prior to wetting it with water so that your hair is smooth without tangles. Wet your hair and shampoo your scalp, cleansing away build up and product. If you are using your mask for more than 30 minutes, or have recently applied a large amount of hairspray or styling product all over your hair - shampoo both your scalp *and* lengths. This method will require a larger amount of the hair mask, and deliver more nutrition to the hair. Rinse your hair clean of the shampoo, and squeeze out excess water. Ensure the hair is not dripping wet, and swelled with a lot of water. Section your hair in half, and apply a large amount of the mask to the first section, swiping it from the ear length down to the ends (6-7 inches from the root) (do not apply the mask to your scalp or roots). Once the mask is smoothed over the hair shaft, apply it to your second section. Massage the mask into your hair (using a hand motion as if you were trying to identify "the feeling" of something between your finger tips). Leave this mask on for 10 minutes (minimum) (maximum 30 minutes). Rinse thoroughly using warm water and proceed with styling products. Always use heat protection or my favourite watery spray sealant https://go.magik.ly/ml/1z7qe/ to protect your results.

How to apply Bond Repair and Hair Gloss:
Do not follow generic instructions. Always refer to the label of the product. Unlike hair masks, bond repair products have individual processes to get desired results. Tip: do not use "more" than suggested, this will cause problems like crispy, crunchy hair instead of smooth and silky repaired hair (think, K18!).

hair masks have come a long way I think
we've all used one that didn't really do
anything with the right information on
application techniques and the types of
masks you can figure out exactly how to
improve your hair Health using a mask if
you enjoy watching this video about hair
masks and how to use them please give it
a thumbs up I definitely recommend that
you use a mask period but there's a few
things to make it effective because you
can use a mask and it doesn't really
work so let's fix that the best hair
mask out there is the one that you can
use consistently again and again and
that means it's the one that you can
purchase again and again like afford to
if it feels like it's expensive or you
feel like oh like I'm not sure I don't
think it's a good idea you'd be better
off with like the $5 mask versus the $50
mask that you have to take like 30 years
to research and then you just like want
to hold on to it and not use it because
it's like fancy like that's not what
hair masks are for they're nutrition for
your hair and everybody can use them
even if you have have an oily scalp and
really dry ends especially cuz they
don't actually get applied to the scalp
if you do it correctly let's go over the
types of masks and treatments that are
out there since there are a lot and hair
technology has come a really long way we
have the traditional mask which is what
I'm kind of talking about mainly today
because I think that this type of hair
nutrition is so underused the difference
between this and a conditioner is a hair
mask is very thick it has a lot less
water and to use this correctly you want
to shampoo your hair lather it up rinse
it all out and then use your mask on
damp hair you wouldn't want to apply a
mask and then go in and use shampoo you
have to rinse after shampoo and then
apply it because the shampoo is like
detergent so it can really strip away
even if it just runs by the length of
your hair a lot of the oils and
hydration that's supposed to be there so
that's the first type of mask but we're
going to look at the types of treatment
SL masks and there are three in this
video
this next one is really interesting and
could be really helpful a bond repair
product like Olex has a patent on this
technology and it is proven to go into
the hair shaft inside and repair broken
bonds this has a different order of use
you actually use this before shampoo on
damp hair Bond repair is serious
business and it actually has its own
order it goes on damp hair before
shampoo and you could technically add a
mask after now that product is quite
expensive but hair glosses are the Third
type of treatment that I consider to be
like a mask and they are usually quite
inexpensive these treat the outer layer
of the hair whether you're using a Lamar
water or a gloss that's more of like a
gel and a thick type of cream treatment
looks a lot like a mask but these
glossing products act on the outside of
the hair it's like a top coat you
shouldn't rely on it to make your hair
healthier however it's very protective
and it has the most gorgeous result on
hair if you've never used a gloss and
then you go to try one you will fall in
love with the results recently I colored
my hair and made it all light and bright
and of course it goes beige and then you
know it goes orange especially when
you're due for a toner at the salon this
is where a gloss is amazing with this
kind of mask it's tinted and so with
this kind of gloss you're getting a
sealing top coat to your hair but you're
also getting that tint of color in fact
this type of gloss from in fact this
particular gloss from L'Oreal is
actually sold in the hair color section
so a lot of people don't know that this
exists and it's not a dieye but it
definitely improves the look of your
hair and it's very easy to
use you use your shampoo rinse it out
and then if it's the Lamela water one
like this you just rinse it onto your
hair and then wait 8 seconds and rinse
it out it's amazing this will give you
that like very commercial line of light
in your hair the gloss is for the
aesthetic the mask is for the nutrition
and bond repair is for Bond repair all
three have their place you know and I
think it's important to consider using a
mask more free frequently and not
looking for something that's really
expensive like I said because using
those hair masks consistently is your
best defense against the aggressions of
like everyday life and when your hair
has that extra elastic from The Mask it
can really withstand and not break when
it's put in a ponytail or it rubs
against your coat or just the weather is
cold or dry I always detangle my hair if
I remember before I apply a mask because
it makes it easier to apply it even once
my hair is wet it just is better if it's
not all knotted up the biggest mistake
with a hair mask is like using it on dry
hair because it can't go into the hair
that way I can think of like two situ
uations where the protection of a hair
mask could be utilitarian to like dry
hair but if you actually want to get the
benefits of the ingredients you have to
use it properly so to do that you rinse
the hair after you shampoo and then I
got out of the shower and took all the
excess water out of my hair by squeezing
it out and I'm going to do the mask
without being in the shower because I
can really focus on what I'm doing this
way it's going to take a few dips into
this jar starting with about 7 in dep
down from the root I'm going to do my
best to spread the mask knowing that it
has a tendency since it's so thick to
Clump up in one area I'll start trying
to tube it down the hair but one of the
best things you can do is after trying
this for a while open the hair back up
and see what parts don't have any mask
dip back into the jar and then add some
more and you'll see as you start to
massage this in and through the hair it
actually starts to disappear a little
bit goes from being like right white and
looking like moisturizer or like face
lotion to being kind of just not there
just wet looking I really squeeze this
in through the ends of course the ends
need the most coverage since when you
really think about it your hair grows
like six Ines a year so the ends of my
hair must be like like I don't know 6 12
15 15 years old or something I don't
know I don't know about that math but
the point is the ends need a lot of help
otherwise they will look very aged since
they are old hair treatments and at
least in this tutorial are usually kept
in for like 8 or 10 minutes and then
they get rinsed out so rinse yours out
based on the instructions and then
reveal and protect your results and
don't forget to do it again because this
is what helps care for your hair
