Members of the Topi lion pride finishing a topi meal as one lion from the Bila-shaka coalition and some jackals circle the area. This sighting of the Topi lion pride was originally streamed live directly from the safari but this is the better quality 4k version of the lion sighting.

About Rob The Ranger Wildlife Videos: The purpose of the channel is to show what it is like to experience seeing wild animals on an African safari. Nature Documentaries are often highly edited to tell a story, wildlife safaris are not, and the idea here is to show the wildlife sightings the way they were seen. Safari tours in Africa are generally suitable for all ages and this channel can be considered an educational channel about incredible nature, some scenes in the nature videos may be more graphic than people are used to but this is the reality of nature and is what you would see if you were present on such a safari in person. Safaris in Kenya, South Africa, or any other African country are an unrivalled experience for anyone with a passion for nature, wildlife photography, and travel. Hopefully the animal videos on this channel can provide a glimpse into what the nature experience is like and encourage more people to take a wildlife safari one day. everybody on rump the rider welcome to
my channel enjoy the video
yeah
kuna you want our
and
I do
well
we've got lots of signals plenty of
signal
[Music]
[Music]
and then everyone yes we've finally got
somewhere with signal and something
happening
Domo and her two cups there and one of
the line is identified just yet
fools you off the kill since this new
decisions princess we lots of black bear
Jekyll's hanging around there's some
hyenas in the distance as well
you think the killer was using let's
hope you pride eating at IPO what's left
of it is behind us let me just move you
around yes
want to see what boy or one listen
canine means to place you leave him to
sleep a little bit more action happening
the other side go back through the car
the very full cabs jackals are very
brave
right on top of the line SSgt
since the jackal is a much braver than
my enos today though this is still
something quite far back Jack was the
right on top of everybody here with five
jackals
it's a question there do black-backed
jackals in the hierarchical society like
the hyenas usually it's just family
groups that we see a male and female and
they're the most recent offspring you
see a couple of the ones here are
smaller you don't really see them in big
packs but I would think it could be more
of a wolf like society if they were in
big pets
all the Jackals the size of a coyote now
they're a bit smaller a lot smaller say
cups there with mom outside
I think if the Cubs were a little less
full mode be chasing the Jackals around
for fun a little bit overfed right now
up his ups maybe it's gonna play with
the jackals but no
feeding if you can make out right in the
distance there's a big elephant walking
as well
hammer cop that's arrived it's picking
on some of the bones as well I don't
never be able to sit there it is you
usually expect to find the hammer cops
in there the wetland areas eating frogs
and catching fish
this one's come to scavenge
why a Celina seat to be learn is because
the other ones over here are all full
and the male was with them also
Almighty is asking where is this where
in the Maasai Mara in Kenya and to be
more precise at the bottom of run
original type II planes
this is asking for the Bema shock is
still dominant over this prides didn't
see Chris there is one of the attackers
yes
is this the only location wild line
exists in packs
no no web lines are in many reserves all
over Africa and also small isolated
population in India as well
Christopher's asking since the March
Madness the topi pride related to the
marsh crowd they were a breakaway of the
most part at one point but they're not
the actual Marsh pride you must also
talk on the cameras you know many are in
this pride a lot there's only two
lionesses and the two cubs with one male
here but eight eight lionesses plus the
two Cubs at the moment I don't know if
there's any new tub somewhere
are we close to the Tanzanian border
we're not far 20 kilometers or so
something like that
big boy behind us just put his head up
so let's
the wind of the migration starts soon
there's already some build a boost in
the area should be coming up in the next
couple of weeks
the one question I saw there's control
described the topi pride at the moment
and the marsh price he can potentially
pose to tribes for now
the young male yes yes they've been a
sucker to all five years old they still
go sir a long future ahead of them
dominant males of the Mara hammer cut by
the lines it was a hammer [ __ ] it was
eating some meats which was left over do
they come into conflict with the
musketeer coalition they haven't yet
they may do as time goes by as yet they
haven't pushed down to the river yet
along wild lions live in the wilds they
would be very old if they managed to
make it to more than 12 there are a few
big males in the area that a 14 15 any
members of their old age pensioners lion
wife lionesses will live along they're
16 to 18 years typically it's all attic
in captivity they live well over 20
years
do I know what carcass it is it was a
topi no it's just bones how many males
it is six males coalition only one of
them here so we can see
John Donne I say K Pocoyo
three-two-three
[Music]
that crust Berlin or quite sure what you
mean if you could rephrase the question
might be able to answer how many
lionesses in the pride ate that there's
only two here another golden jackal it's
black-backed jackals why does I have
Tiger videos because we have no Tigers
here ideas are in Asia we're in Africa
will I go live more often this time the
problem is the signal here in the Mara
is very very patchy so a lot of the time
was sitting with great sightings but I
can't get online and other times when we
have got the sightings and I can get
online there it's still too choppy and
people can't see what's going on we're
very lucky that we've got a clear signal
today I have a question about
crossbreeding in general you'd only find
lions and tigers or lions and leopards
or anything mating in a force situation
where they're put in captivity and
forced to mate with one remember that
they have they're not closely related
enough to be attractive to one another
so it wouldn't naturally happen so you
get these cross breeds that are made in
the zoo which generally problematic then
like a lion and the tiger that the
ligers they liked ever
the gracefulness not growing it's just
silly there's no reason to force those
animals to mate with each other it was
Chris it was no puppet that was attacked
the other day not the other day a few
weeks ago he's fine now
you saw him two days ago
often the prides come across one and
then not that often because they they
month later to assent they call so they
avoid one another occasionally do come
across each other especially when
females have got cubs and they're on
their own they might wander out of their
core territory into one of the crossover
areas yes it's a lap winkle they di did
generally the price trying to avoid
conflict as much as possible what
happened to Tiger canyons I think it
still exists but yeah they're it's it's
not introducing Tigers to the bushes
such it's just a a fenced off area where
the varieties of breeding Tigers to try
and conserve the species it wasn't an
experiment to try and release them into
Africa or anything it's just somewhere
that they were safe from poaching and
more questions
I see is the marsh pride it's a
breakaway from the marsh pride they
called the Toki pride if they haven't
been part of the most pride for many
years many many years when a lion begins
to decline in health how does the
process happen that well like people
they get old
the immune system doesn't work as well
as it was and get sick they get weak
they can't eat broccoli they can't keep
up with the pride so on
only marsh pipeline over the years many
many many Marsh pride breakaways so
these guys are the main ones this side
of the reserve there was another Marsh
pride breakaway that went across into
the Mara triangle and if you go far
enough back there's lots of groups that
have broken off from prides and become
other prides and as they get renamed you
lose the history sometimes
do you get emotionally attached the
official answer to that is no no we are
observers and we don't get it but of
course you do of course you get attached
to the animals if you see them every day
and it's not nice to see them getting
killed by others or getting sick and
getting old but it is how it is and I
think that the main marsh breakaways you
hear about are the ones that are in the
Mara trying all the ones that moved
across a couple of years ago although
have I been a guides 20 years more than
20 years and how long does it take to
make a full documentary on their lives
well then how long their lives are yeah
how much how much of their lives you
want to document I was in the sabi sands
up until two years ago I worked there
for 15 years
the beauty of living in the bush as the
migration started not properly there was
a big group of builder bees came across
about a week ago but nothing since then
most of the herds are still Tanzania
site still coming north those jackals in
the background yes they are black-backed
jackals and the handle cop and if you
look far enough in the background where
is the an elephant
far far away right at the top there was
that a ville de beast no it was a topi
little bit smaller than a build a beast
so not that much for you to go around in
to big lioness is to kerbs in the mail
that's why it's pretty much finished
the end of it all heinous but their line
down we can't really see them yeah you
won't see them they're lying in the
grass quite far back waiting see what's
left behind
Buffalo far in the distance coming down
the hill as well
go back to the big male behind this well
there's a temperature it is about 18
degrees Celsius I don't know what that
is in red the flavor away from the
Killman towards the person with the
camera up his nose you just sent mark
the car there
disappear off into the bushes there
can you drive off-road in the mire not
unless you have a permit an off-road
permit we are pumped as close as we can
be what we're gonna do now I am going to
close off don't see what else there is
around we've been here for we've been
here for nearly an hour so you've been
online for nearly 40 minutes now what a
jackal attack the cub while the females
are asleep no no they wouldn't the Cubs
are bigger than them and maybe when the
Cubs are very very very tiny they're not
now okay so we're gonna start off thank
you very much for joining and if we do
manage to get something else later in
the morning that we can see and we have
signal and everything will go back on
live again bye-bye
beyond the car again and it's pushing
the car past like this one point three
thousand watches so let us go and get
him
that's always going across
thank you very much for watching please
