I like having nice nails you to right
now we could go to the salon for this
but it's expensive and it takes a lot of
time so if you're like me you might have
taken it upon yourself to like learn how
to do what they do at the salon but do
it at home yourself this I will tell you
from personal experience it takes a lot
more time hours just to get your nails
looking reasonable not even perfect it
was the time for me whether I was going
to this lawn or at home it was taking
way too much time that's why I started
using press on and I really like them
they're so pretty and with press on
they're not expensive they don't take a
lot of time but let's look at this for a
second because you could find ones that
you like but even that could be timec
consuming so maybe you purchase a whole
set of them so you'll always have a
color that you like I did that and I got
them for really cheap but here's the
thing now we're in a territory where
this doesn't even look like a manicure
it looks like a plastic nail not good so
in this video I'm going to take you
through my process my routine for
painting my own press on nails since I
started doing this not only do I really
like it and in fact I think there's
going to be someone watching who likes
it so much you're going to want to do
this like start a business do this kind
of thing it's really enjoyable to do and
they look amazing if you like this video
give it a thumbs up and let's get
started okay let's go back to the salon
for a second you know about buffing
because you buff you buff whether you
have natural nails that are getting some
gel over top or if you're doing like a
nail enhancement like this the buffing
is key because it helps the gel to
adhere whether it's to Natural Nails or
enhancements It's always important with
press on they're shiny like this they're
shiny so they won't hold any gel without
buffing
but wait a second we could be right back
where we started taking like an hour to
do our nails if we have to buff every
single presson before painting it that's
why these are so good this cost less
than $20 for sets and sets of pre-
buffed pre-buff nails they're ready to
paint this box cost less than $20 and
there are maybe six seven eight months
worth of manicures in here awesome now
when it comes to painting these it is
easy there's just like a few things I
want to point out and focus on of course
you're going to need some gel to paint
with and you can get a whole wardrobe of
gel polishes for a really really good
price so that part's easy one thing
you're really going to want is a good
LED lamp not one of those little ones so
you'd have to do like each little finger
individually and like press the button
we need something that will cure the the
nail making it glossy and gorgeous this
led UV lamp from nail girls is so so
good it moves with you it's got a bunch
of really good features and using this
because it's so high power gives such a
lacquer to The Nail to where it just
looks freshly done right out of the
salon with this UV LED lamp you can
customize the settings making it
stronger or less power for the light on
the back of your hand and this powerful
LED lamp it doesn't need to be used
while plugged into the wall I've never
seen this before but you can of course
use it plugged in like every UV lamp but
it could be unplugged and you can turn
it on and the display will show you how
much battery it has it lasts for a long
time and you can bring this with you
wherever you want to do your nails
without having to worry about plugging
it in this makes it so easy to do press
on nails especially in bulk pre-
preparing your manicures before you're
even ready to wear them when I'm doing
it this way which is the first method
I'm going to show you I'm using these
pre-buff nails but these aren't just
pre-buff they are pre colored they
already have like a shade built into the
actual nail all that these need is top
coat but if you add a builder gel before
the top coat you'll add shape and a
layer that kind of makes it look as
though you've had the nail built up with
a gel extension method versus a press on
and then you top it with top coat and
that will give you that Salon style
manicure instantly these strips of
pre-buff nails all of the sizes are
organized all of the nails are connected
to the strip so you don't need to take
the nails off for any reason until
you're ready to use them that makes
applying the hard gel applying the top
coat really easy I just hold the nail
strip in the middle and I'll wear gloves
to prevent any oil transfer when I show
you how to use color on a press on nail
I'm going to show you using a nail stand
and these present their own
opportunities so this is another method
outside of just painting the nails while
they're on the Strip you can use some
sticky Tac to take each individual nail
and press it onto the nail stand itself
this is magnetic and it allows you to
make little designs or to work more
specifically on that one individual nail
I've got a little bit of sticky tack on
here and now I'll take off one of these
pre-buff nails before I set it on top of
the nail stand I'm going to remove that
little tab that creates a little Jagged
Edge right in the middle where I've
ripped it off of the strip and that is
going to just be a small little detail
that makes the nails look better once
they're on optional step you can use a
nail primer which helps the gel to
adhere to the Press on without peeling
off and if you have problems with
peeling definitely do this when it comes
to taking the actual color of your gel
polish out of the bottle it's good to do
this with a little bit of strategy
rather than taking a lot out I like to
slide it along the side so that there's
only gel on one side of the brush and
the other side of it is pretty much
clean I always put the gel color
slightly lower than I need to and then I
push it up with the brush and allow it
to flow and move a little bit since it
has a slight spread of its own gel is
self-leveling whereas nail polish if you
were to go over it and over it you're
making markings that will dry that way
but gel you can smooth it over and over
and it will continue to selflevel until
it's smooth once you have an even layer
of color you can put it in your UV lamp
the base of this nail girls lamp is
magnetic so the nail stand won't topple
over or smudge now I'm going to add a
second layer of color this will only
need two and I'm going to cap the tip
with a little bit of color right on the
edge just to make it all seamless and
then cure it once more and add a top
coat sometimes this can happen your
bottles get a little bit crusty and this
can interrupt the line of light on your
nail I'm going to show you a little tip
with the bottles themselves if these
have little Crispies in them it's going
to interrupt that line of light when
you're painting make sure that your gel
polish is don't get gunked up with
Crispies all you need is a little
rubbing alcohol a little pack like this
and cut a tiny little hole and now it
has to be a hole that is smaller than
the opening of the Polish bottle
otherwise it's not going to work so I'm
going to take that put the brush back in
twist twist twist and then you'll see a
lot of it is collected right there from
here I'll take that alcohol wipe off and
then take one more and just do a final
cleanup you don't have to do this every
time but every time that you do this
your polish bottles will be clean and
they won't have any little Crispies
going inside whether you like doing
these while they're on your hands or if
you like painting the strip of press on
or using the Little Nail stand once
you're comfortable with your favorite
method of doing these you can build from
there and you can take your press on
from like a basic solid color to
something where you like like wa this is
so cool and a lot of these tools don't
cost more than a dollar or two which is
awesome this is a silicone nail tool and
you can use this in a bunch of different
ways but I'll show you one right now
this is very easy when it comes to using
a French manicure strategy you basically
just press this into the nail tip with
some color on the edge and you keep
going until it looks good and it looks
really good it looks like professionally
done it almost looks printed on and
these these are really cool these don't
have to be flower print they don't have
to be this or that you can find these in
all different styles these are nail
foils and whatever base color you have
underneath the nail is going to of
course affect the mood and the
atmosphere of the outcome these are
really fun to play with these have to be
my favorite because they're the easiest
thing to use these stickers they detach
from the backing when you place them
into water so you can cut little little
pieces out place them into literally a
little bit of water and after 10 20
seconds they soften and you can just
slide them right up off of the paper
backing then these go onto the nail and
it actually feels like you're working on
a computer kind of cuz you can move them
around and you can layer them on top of
each other and while the water is still
present they still move around which is
really fun cuz you can find the perfect
placement before adding your top Co coat
these are of course prepainted pre-buff
press on so all I did was add these
stickers on top and then I'm like
putting a little gem here and there and
I like these a lot I'm going to link
some of my supplies and the things that
I use along with my favorite UV LED lamp
the cordless cure Max by nail girls and
if you want to leave a comment please
let me know what kind of nail style you
like the most including the shape thank
you so much for watching and I'll see
you you soon
