China's Economic Meltdown: What Will the Disappearing 400 Million People Bring?

China's economy is heading into a cold winter, and the secrets behind it are being revealed step by step. On January 17th, 2023, China's National Bureau of Statistics made a rare announcement that China's population fell by 850,000 in 2022 compared to the end of the previous year, the first decline since 1961. This means that China's population has gone from being the world's number one over the past thousand years to be the world's number two, with India officially overtaking China and a ranking that will continue for at least a century.
Virtually no experts doubt India's population will surpass China's by 2022 or 2023. According to UN estimates, India's population at the end of 2022, is 1.423 billion people. A site that estimates the dynamics of India's population says that there will be an increase of one person approximately every second.
