How's it going, everybody?
I'm Nikki Delventhal, and this is my dog, Camper Delventhal.
We live in a 2006 Toyota Prius.
And we're here to take you along on the wild ride.
So fasten up your seat belts, and let's have some fun.

Camper and I would be so thankful.
Previously in Adventures de Hotel Prius,
we take you on some of our favorite hikes
in Sedona, Arizona, showing you some
of the diverse landscapes the area has to offer.
Always checking back in with possibly our favorite truck
stop in the United States, fully equipped with a bubble bath.
I'm Santa Claus.
Hello, child.
What would you like for Christmas?
We also spend the weekend exploring local Flagstaff.
And we leave off waiting for our best friends, Lauren
and Daphne, to arrive.
Good morning.
And look who showed up last night, Lauren's new rig.
Oh my god, this thing is huge.
This is so cool.
If you guys remember from previous episodes,
Lauren and Daphne lived in this van for a few years.
Whoa, you got a window.
It's so cold out.
You can see my breath.
Hello, good morning.
Oh, I'm so happy to meet you.
Look at that butt.
Hello, hello.
So of course, first thing we did was take a tour,
hang out in the new rig, and coffee time.
One for you, one for me.
Cheers.
Yay.
I'm standing in your home.
I know, do you want to sit?
Nope.
This is so cool.
Oh my god.
After some catching up and a quick stop at the dog park,
it was time to adventure.
OK, we are headed to go hike about a mile into a cave.
This is such a cool hike.
All right, we've got company.
There's my car.
Headlamps, but make it chic.
OK, let's try this again.
You look great.
All right, turn on, please.
We got a green light, red light, green light.
1, 2, 3.
Do you remember that game?
You have to turn around, and then the person
would have to freeze.
And if they moved, they were out.
We're going into the lava river.
Lord, it's all kind of cold.
It's inside the cave.
Not only are we now going into a cave,
but we're hunting for rewards.
Lights on.
Lava River Cave is a lava tube in northern Arizona.
It's a little under a mile long, and it's
the longest cave of its kind known in Arizona.
OK, here's the coolest part.
Now the light's on.
Let's enter.
Enter the cave.
This is so cool.
Geologists believe that the cave was
formed sometime between 650 and 700,000 years ago
when molten lava erupted from a volcanic vent.
Check out this room.
I don't think we can see the rest.
Basically how this happened was the top sides
and the bottom of the flow cooled and solidified
while the lava in the middle flowed out,
leaving a hollow space to form this cave.
Which way did you guys go?
That's just the easier route.
Oh, hell yeah.
Let's go the hard route.
And as the roads diverged into two,
we took the road less traveled together.
Look at these colors.
It's amazing.
And then you get to the top up here.
It's just sparkly.
As Lauren says, a disco ball where we will have our parties.
After our little dance party, we have come to the end.
Wow.
Like, there's more cave.
Technically, if you wanted to squeeze in there, you could.
Yeah, I'm not trying to squeeze through that cave right now.
We'll recruit the children.
That's a joke.
On that note, we turned around and made it back out
of the cave.
That was amazing.
Camper.
Hi, baby.
Oh, it feels nice in here.
For the next few hours, we just relaxed at the trailhead,
enjoyed a beverage.
Hang on.
Got to make sure I do this right.
That's actually not the way I would do it.
Is that my first rodeo?
Yes, it is.
We played some fetch, found some sticks,
then strategized to find our camp spot for the night.
This is the spot we picked.
Not bad.
Despite that it's only 4 PM, I'm going to shower off
with my washcloths and get into pajamas.
OK, now that it's pajama time, I have made it a goal
to be able to order sushi to our vehicles.
So we're trying to find an address
we can put in so we can manually write directions.
Right here.
Does it have an address?
No.
Hi, Bianca.
I have a different request.
Long story short, our efforts were shut down by all apps
and delivery services.
But we're going to try again tomorrow.
So if we wanted to order DoorDash or GrubHub,
we would need to put in the cracker barrel address
and then, do you know what I mean?
So instead, we made some dinner.
Cooking with Lauren.
Mostly just moving things around.
All right, Lauren, what's on the menu tonight?
We are going to put a lot of things together
and call it a soup.
Chef Lauren even made her famous popcorn
before we headed to bed.
So cold.
I can't find my blankets over there.
Hi, mister.
So when we woke up this morning, I
decided I think we're going to climb
the highest peak in Arizona.
We've got to get on the road if we
want to finish this hike before the sun goes down.
So here we go.
Lauren's doing some major bike rides today
because she's training.
So don't worry, I already asked her if she would want to come.
All right, Lauren, we'll see you later.
So we hit the road.
OK, I haven't gone grocery shopping
and I'm pressed for time, so gas station snacks it is.
We picked up coffee, two pup cups,
and got ready in the car while we
waited for our friends Dan and Rita
to arrive as they were going to join us on our hike that day.
Pup cup mania.
After a quick drive to the trailhead,
we geared up, double checked our packs.
You ready to camp?
And set off on the Humphreys peak adventure.
All right, here we go.
Arizona is known for so many iconic hikes,
but Humphreys peak is one of my favorites
and to me is the holy grail of Arizona hiking.
Check that out, first sight of snow.
We're only a third of the way up and there's already snow.
That's cool, huh?
Oh, it's slippery.
That's ice.
That is ice.
Whoa.
We're still going through the forest.
Just a lot of switchback through the trees.
I can't wait to break the tree line.
I know.
We slowly kept making our way higher and higher.
All right, this is super tough.
This is straight up.
Humphreys peak, I'm out of the way.
Pretty sure we got to get right there.
Salt tabs, all the salt.
Feeling salty.
It's a little windy, but we have officially
broken the tree line, meaning we have gotten somewhere.
Nearing the summit got us so excited,
but even more, we met some trail friends,
giving us our second wind and a burst of energy.
See you later.
Long way to go.
Another fake summit.
I got to go up here.
Holy crap.
Just got to keep on going.
Are you kidding me?
Another false summit.
We're so close.
That's one of the harder things to do.
It's just Nephii.
We're still going all the way up there.
A couple more false summits later.
Oh my god.
Oh, rock slide.
That was close.
Don't do that.
That's it.
We freaking did it.
Yes.
It's right there.
Oh my god.
If you couldn't tell, we were very
excited to make it to the top.
You did it.
Camper, you are now officially the tallest thing
in all of Arizona.
You are the tallest thing in the world.
I got you, baby.
Don't you worry.
All right, you guys ready to kick it back down?
How about you guys?
You want to take a little nap first?
After a little summit nap, we made our way
back down the mountain.
Let's go.
Best freaking day ever.
Also, Ian Delmontal's birthday.
I love you, dad.
Happy birthday.
Everyone, go wish my dad a happy birthday in the comments.
He will love it.
We've been doing this all day, don't worry.
I'm so out of breath.
This is so hard.
I'm dying a little bit.
We're making it down just in time for the sun to set.
See, the orange is behind us.
Whoa, that was cool.
That's the best.
This trail's a little longer than we thought.
Crap, the sun's going down.
What an amazing sunset.
And now, we have an amazing night.
Look at that moon.
That is so beautiful.
Look at all of them.
All right.
Woo, we made it.
Home sweet home.
That was amazing.
Bye, Rita.
I was a lot harder than I anticipated.
I feel like I've done a lot longer and higher hikes.
That felt a lot easier.
I feel kill for a shower right now.
Oh my god, it's not so good.
Little America, here we come.
We'll get you one of these, too.
I'm in the shower.
I haven't done that.
You guys, I don't really drink.
I drink like once a month.
OK, wait, I had some last night.
Oh, yeah.
You know how some friends make you a better person?
You make me a cleaner person.
Thanks.
I love you.
Uber Eats is here.
We're going to get it.
Thank you.
Amazing.
When we couldn't get it at the trailhead last night,
I was determined to get delivery to the car.
So we did it to Little America.
Look what I got.
I ordered delivery.
We got so much food.
Oh my god.
I'm hungry.
I hope there's soy sauce in here.
So I go to the Uber Eats driver.
I go, this might sound weird, but can you just
knock on my window?
He goes, no.
I'm hungry.
That is finishing some sushi.
After dinner, we opted for some good old fashioned
entertainment.
Romantic evenings.
Watching all the people at the truck stop.
Let's go on a romantic walk around the truck stop.
After a wild evening at the truck stop, it was time for bed.
Hi baby. Good morning sleepyhead. Oh wow that's great.
After a beautiful morning wake-up call, breakfast, coffee, and even a car wash,
we said our goodbye to Lauren and Daphne as it was time for us to head north to go see family.
We love you. Maybe see you tomorrow morning.
Stay tuned for next week's episode as we continue our journey north.

You think he wants attention? He's getting pissed off.
You think he wants all the attention? He wants all eyes on him.
But he doesn't have any eyes on him right now, does he? No eyes.
