Casa Itambe, a multi-award-winning project designed by 304 Arquitectura, is a sanctuary suspended among the tree canopies, crafted to minimize its impact on the land. The construction was expertly managed by Lavoro K + C, who executed the project flawlessly despite the challenges posed by the complex terrain. Supported by a steel and concrete tetrapod, the house appears to float. Two volumes connected by a suspended bridge seamlessly integrate the interior with the exterior, celebrating nature through materials, light, and landscape. This unique project has been honored at the 2024 Kyoto Design Awards in the Environment Architectural Design category, and has also received the Best Residential Project award at the DNA Paris Design Awards and the Architecture Masterprize in the Residential category.
