35 Squadron has deployed a contingent here to Fiji, also with a number of supporting elements
for the conduct of this operation and we're conducting maritime patrol operations as part
of the Australian Government's commitment to regional and maritime security for Pacific
Island countries. We've been working with the Forum Fisheries Agency's representatives here
in Fiji as well as members of the Fijian Navy. They've been operating on board with us on the
C-27 in an observational capacity which has been a fantastic opportunity for them to integrate
with us and be part of the crew in the conduct of our operations. We're looking at monitoring,
recording and reporting of all activities that are happening within Fiji's fishing vessel
and other vessel countries.
The C-27 has flown every day that's been tasked bar one weather cancel day from the FFA,
so we've achieved 100% mission success and have 100% serviceability of the C-27 on this operation.
