Our Australian Apartment Tour!!!
Yeah, oh my gosh, you see that bird?
Another vlog, that's where we are.
We are at Jess's parents house.
If you couldn't tell by the amazing drawing of Jess on the wall right there.
We just spent the past few days here from when we arrived from
Sydney when we drove up after our quarantine and right now we're actually packing up to head off because that's the end of our trip.
We're going back home. Heading back to the US. It's been a good four days.
We're going to our place that we'll be staying in in Brisbane.
We'll show you guys when we get there. Jess just did something so funny actually. Show them what you did.
Well, when we got here my parents gave up their beautiful bed for us to stay in for a couple nights.
Which was kind of ridiculous. It was so comfy, very kind of them. You're very kind of them.
They should not have done that though. So I wrote a little thank you note and I left a little tip.
I said, this is our tip for the amazing service and for all of the groceries, eggs we ate.
Oh my gosh, love it. A tip. It's a very American thing of you to do Jess.
You know, it's been a couple years.
Are you recording?
It's recording, Jordan.
We're recording, Gordon.
Gordon.
Get a coffee.
Oh my gosh.
Did you see that bird?
A bird literally just flew through our windshield.
Oh my gosh, Australia is wild.
Next thing you know, a snake's gonna try and jump into the car.
With a spider on its back.
Bit dramatic.
After jumping off of a kangaroo.
Guys, I'm sorry if the thing is making weird noises.
We can't control the bumps on this road.
We're on our way to grab a little cafecito.
Yes, we are.
And then head to our car.
But what did we just do then?
What did we just do?
Jess just wanted to take me around some cool areas.
We're just exploring.
To see what the vibe is.
The vibe was high.
Vibes were high there in the area that we just drove through.
We're feeling good.
Like we should.
Let's go get a Zarafis.
It's not Starbucks here in Australia.
They do have Starbucks, but apparently people hate Starbucks here.
Zarafis is definitely more popular than Starbucks would be.
Okay, cool.
Hi.
Hi, buddy.
You'll see it in a second.
Right there.
Are you zoomed in?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, come on.
This clip is messy, but it's such a pretty sunset.
Oh, man.
We'll get it. We'll snag it in a second.
You see that, guys?
Exactly.
That's all you're going to get.
Nothing.
We've been trying to film this sunset.
It's really pretty, I promise.
There's so much nature and trees in Australia.
Just so much bush.
Pass his accent.
Am I getting better at it?
Yeah, go.
Go? When? I'm driving.
I'm driving.
I'm driving, Mike.
All right, we made it to our little apartment.
Hi.
Let's have a look.
Oh, my gosh.
This is so nice.
Really nice kitchen.
Oh, cute.
This is really nice.
Welcome to our lovely Airbnb for a couple weeks.
This is the living room.
I actually really love it.
This is so nice.
Lovely big kitchen.
Dining area, living area.
On this side,
we have a little guest bedroom.
They have a whole separate bathroom.
You can take a bath if you want.
We have a little balcony out there.
This is our bedroom.
Then we have our bathroom in here.
A very cute little place.
It is. It's nice.
I think it's going to do us well for the next
few weeks.
We're just trying to see different areas
around the city.
Just catch some vibes.
See what we think.
Catch a freaking vibe, dude.
What's cooking, good looking?
Woo!
What's today?
A long time after that post-quiz.
So much later.
When we filmed that,
had we even posted any of the series?
I don't know.
Anyway, I have spent the past
two weeks, three weeks,
basically, editing.
All of my time since we've gotten out of quarantine
and basically the final week of quarantine
was all editing.
Yes, Gabe has been on his computer.
He'll wake up, have his morning routine
and go to his computer.
That's where he'll be for the whole day.
I've been able to go out and catch up with people.
Today is actually the first day
when he's not at his computer.
I'm not editing anymore.
That's why these clips are so far apart
is because, literally, we haven't had a chance
to vlog together.
Yes, because I needed to get done the trailer
for the series, episode one of the series,
the second slash final episode
of the series. In the middle of that,
I filmed a music video for my new single.
It's out. Go check it out, by the way, guys.
It's so good.
It's called When the World Changes, guys.
I filmed the music video and the final thing I had to edit
was that.
But, now we're here
and I have some free time.
Free time being
continuing to film.
How has the time in our Airbnb been so far?
It's been the best.
I'm so close to my sister,
my family. My family came over
last night. It's just
a really good time.
We have some really cool coffee shops close by
and cafes. That's where we're
walking to right now.
I have something else to say. What do you have to say, Jess?
I got a new earring yesterday.
I want to know
if you guys think it's more Pirates of the Caribbean-y.
Well, to be honest,
that's kind of the vibe. That's definitely
the goal. Listen, I didn't spend my whole childhood
being a fangirl of Pirates of the Caribbean
to not
enjoy the compliment of being
called
Captain Jack Sparrow.
So many ones that are really a vibe, that look really great
are really
big and chunky. I'd say it's a little chunky.
Yeah, I mean, it is what it is.
But I prefer
them a little smaller.
We're going to go get some brunch.
We are. There's this really cool cafe that we've been
really digging. Jess, last week,
what, did you go like four days in a row or something?
No, I went three days in a row.
That's so much better.
We're enjoying Australian life. It's been good.
And I'm ready to experience more now that
I'm not editing my life away. I'm like, this is your first day out.
I know.
Gabe just put some petrol in our car.
We're going to go for a little drive to a
little lookout. I went
here to this lookout last week
with my best friend Jess, but Gabe
was editing. He was super busy that day, so
now that he's not editing on his
computer now,
I want to take him to this really pretty lookout.
I just thought I'd say now, because
he doesn't know yet. We're filming this
on Wednesday, and I think on
Friday, just because he's been working so hard.
He hasn't been out.
I've been able to
catch up with my friends. I went away for
the weekend with my best friend.
He's coming back. I'm going to take him away
to an island on the weekend. He has no idea.
Anyway, he's coming back now.
Hey, mate. How are you going?
What were you saying? That you fill up with petrol.
We're going to go to a lookout.
Yeah, it's different here in Australia.
They actually trust you, and you fill up first
and then you go pay inside, where in America
they don't trust you, and you have to put your card
information in the machine first.
But you don't have to go inside.
So, you feel better here because
they're like, oh, I trust you
to pay for what you're buying.
But then in America, it's like convenience.
You don't have to talk to people. You win some, you lose some.
Yeah, pros and cons. Give me another pro about Australia.
Another pro about Australia?
We're in it.
So, the goal of today is
I just want to do a few things that
you were able to do while I was sitting
with my eyes bleeding looking at
a computer screen.
Anyway, this lookout is
really pretty. We'll show you guys when we get there.
I'm excited. I've been there once before.
Back in 2016?
2019. We probably went there
in 2016, too. We've gone there a couple times.
Anyway.
We out here. We are here.
Good observation, Jess.
Okay, cool.
We'll see you guys up there.
Oh my gosh.
We were walking up
and you can't even see them.
Is that a turkey?
Oh my goodness. We were literally walking right here
and the thing was just staring at us right off the edge.
I wish I filmed Gabe's jump.
Oh my gosh. We both freaked out.
I turned over to the side and it was just
staring at us right there.
Oh my gosh. Look at the view.
And there's the city in the background.
Oh, I'm flirting with you.
Watch out. Dang, that's really pretty.
So we have a view of the city and stuff like that
but then there's a couple that's laying down.
Just like right down
there on the little
green grass area.
They're having a little picnic and it's cute but they're laying down
and she's popping his zits.
Our sister-in-law
loves doing that. Yes.
Shout out to Maddie. Jess never had to deal with acne
so it's not a thing but literally
when you get the back pimples that are just
not the move,
this is so TMI, dude.
Literally, Maddie, if they're over, I'll be like,
Maddie, I need you to pop this
like zit on the back. She loves it.
Oh my gosh. Anyway, that's gross.
Sorry for having a full
TMI conversation. Look at that.
Your hometown, babe.
Alright. We've been driving around for a little bit
just looking at different areas, seeing what
uh, since I have time now.
I really only lived in one area in Brisbane
and I've never
lived here as an adult, like
by myself, well like married obviously.
It's cool seeing different areas and like where the
neighborhoods are and the houses and then like
where the coffee shops are, you know.
Priorities. Yeah, yeah.
We both feel kind of like not
super high energy today.
You know what's not a good combination?
What? Is you like so exhausted
after two weeks of just editing
and me on my period.
That'll do it. I'm like, are we so
boring? Yeah, that's, I do
feel that because I'm like, man, I
really need like a day or two
to just like rest and catch up.
I feel like my brain capacity was operating
so high for, you know,
just like 100% IQ, like
constantly. You just need a break of that
sometimes just to chill out, you know.
I totally get it. Yeah.
We're gonna love you and leave you guys.
Hope you're having a good day.
Thank you so much for watching. Our next video,
we're both going to be probably in a lot more energy.
That, this is true.
But, yeah, hope you're all doing well.
We love you guys and we'll see you next time.
Peace out from Jess, Gabriel,
Conti.
Did I get it? Yeah.
