a video on September 11th showed that an
ancient city saw a sudden downpour in
the morning flood water rushed into the
streets where breakfast vendors gathered
the rain came suddenly and there was no
time to react vendors were washed away
together with their stuff it lasted for
more than an hour some shopping malls
were badly inundated turning into an
ocean of water
oh
the water on the wall is terrible it's
worse than a waterfall my goodness it's
horrible look at this the biggest
rainstorm in Asia in history
look at the sofas in the shopping mall
they're being washed away by the water
my goodness
okay
wow
look at what's happening here this is
the water coming in from the first floor
the whole mall is flooded it's really
scary
[Music]
the manhole is flooded with water and
all the dirty stuff is flushed out of
the sewers my goodness it stinks foreign
underground stores are being backed up
by torrential rain like a waterfall get
out get out
because I flushed away
so yeah heavy rain in Xi'an
all the vehicles downstairs have been
flooded in a short period of time
as well as the electric cars and
motorcycles
for me
to God
um
I'm near the Marine Museum both sides of
the street are flooded with chorus and
trolleys the street is like a river now
many people aren't thinking about how to
get home how to pick up their children
but how to cross the river the damage is
so serious
foreign
how hard it is for that person to cross
the street it's a delivery person
under the impact of the aftermath of the
recent typhoon hikeway many areas in
southern China have been experiencing
heavy rainfall for three days with more
than 100 mudslides about 1360 residents
trapped in flood waters and at least
seven people perished
several City districts in yulin were
severely flooded with buildings
collapsing large amounts of debris
hitting Bridges and many roads
experiencing landslides and mudslides
water almost reached the roofs of
buildings in some areas some areas in
bobai County sell water depths of more
than two meters

by some of the videos I saw this morning
[Music]
they said in the comments that they had
seen the volcano eruption in the U.S and
the flooding in Syria but not any
measure of the flooding in guangxi being
severe because they hadn't received the
feeds many people found out about the
flood in their hometowns from the
comments section including me my homie
is in poor by County it isn't as bad I
even saw in our Circle friends that many
people were using pots and Bows to catch
fish it seemed fun and I didn't even
realize how horrible the situation was
I believe the reality is even more
brutal than the video which said that
people vanished in the flood a 70 year
old bawled his eyes out when he saw his
home collapsed and a child sat in a
basement floated on the water crying
hopelessly I grabbing him bye-bye and
I'm a Boy by native but I feel powerless
I also believe that many of our fellow
citizens away from town and our fellow
towns people feel helpless we can only
do something for our hometowns through
the internet or contribute somewhat
without meager ability I hope that the
government the media and guangxi's
netizen can step in to help these people
help them get over the difficulties as
soon as possible the disaster is
ruthless but people are merciful may all
prayers be heard by God and may our
fellow folks in your hometown stay
strong
something bizarre happened on September
11th after the flash floods online video
showed that more than 70 crocodiles from
a crocodile farm escaped on mass
according to the Beijing news The Mao
Ming emergency response Bureau used
sonar equipment to search for the
fleeing crocodiles and captured several
of them the deep water has made it
difficult to catch them the authorities
have advised the surrounding residents
not to go out and never go into the
water in any case and call the police
when they encounter the crocodiles
my goodness crocodiles can escape from
prison these days recently due to bad
weather in Guangdong a typhoon triggered
heavy rainfall and resulted in more than
70 crocodiles escaping from the farm
according to the official statistics 69
big crocodiles and six small crocodiles
have escaped from the farm that 75
crocodiles hanging around outside any
animal in any country can proliferate
into a disaster but not in China for
example the lobster which is everyone's
favorite food was introduced to China to
eat the garbage in the rice paddies but
in the end the Chinese people scooped it
up and ate it all the 70 or so
crocodiles that have escaped this time
wouldn't be enough to provide a meal for
the Cantonese people however we must pay
attention to safety until the officials
clean up all the crocodiles don't go out
especially those who love fishing
crocodiles aren't fish they can bite
Hooks and you may not be able to beat
them
other than the crocodiles escaping on
September 8th it was reported that koi a
type of decorative fish that cost 20 000
RMB a piece in a hotel took advantage of
the rainstorm and wandered onto the
street it exploded in social media
groups in Guangzhou many posted videos
of the koi that escaped from the hotel
urging the public to take good care of
them when they catch these expensive koi
the koi Escape incident sparked many
comments among netizens they chimed in
to say never in their lives did the fish
think that they would be able to go to
the land and visit a shopping mall in
their lifetime even fish yearn for
freedom
it's not fish it's gold swimming in the
water
it's not just Guangdong that has been
hit hard Yunnan province has also been
hit by a rainstorm that hasn't been seen
in a hundred years flooding many parts
of the city of Dali and causing heavy
losses to businesses

to 11 30 now the water level outside
doesn't go down the water level here
won't go down either we can't block the
water with our flaps because the base of
the flaps is soaked and falling off
we're doing the best we can with each
other but there is no way to block the
water take a look this is the current
situation all of our equipment has been
destroyed after more than a decade of
hard work it hasn't been easy to survive
the three-year epidemic now we're done
we can't hold on anymore
jojoba
um
most of the stores in the entire
Development Area are like us they're out
of luck and this is the life of the
people we picked up a lot of drifting
Goods we can't even open our operating
room this is the door of the second room
it has the door made of lead coupled
with the pressure of the water there's
no way to open it you can see that this
room is soaked to such a state or the
ventilators and and Aesthetics are in
the water as well as the ultrasound
machine soaked to such a state it's been
more than six hours and the water level
hasn't come down at all it's over
everything is over
foreign
what's going on in Yunnan Province the
previous month or two was a drought and
then in the following two months floods
came two or three times
everyone have a look after two days of
rain floods broke out once again look at
the flash floods going down the hill
like Fierce Tigers destroying the
Riverbanks and destroying their crops
wherever they go all the corn is
submerged in the floods and the harvests
are about to be destroyed
isn't it a shame I don't know what
happened to yunan who have the unan
people offended that we must suffer this
kind of disaster with damages everywhere
the original 20 meter wide river has now
swollen to almost 200 meters why would
such a big disaster happen
it has something to do with a century of
deforestation and the pursuit of local
GDP at all costs what a rare kind of
flooding it is I don't know how these
local peasants are going to make it
through what are they going to do next
year
let's take a look at South China on the
one hand the South has been devastated
by torrential rains and on the other
hand in the north the disaster has been
over for more than a month now news that
party later Xi Jinping visited the north
instead of the South hit the Chinese web
according to China's CCTV News on the
morning of September 7th Xi Jinping
visited a village that was hit hard by
the floods he walked along the village
streets and looked at the damaged
buildings the repair and reconstruction
situation on the street
he even went into people's homes to
comfort the villagers as seen from the
footage the weather was clear the Sun
was shining brightly and the traces of
the flooding were hardly noticeable
where she visited
I am concerned about the places affected
by the disaster in China when people
encounter difficulties we still have to
give full play to our socialist
superiority that is to say if one is in
trouble all parties will help with the
full support from the government I hope
that our relief and reconstruction work
will be successful and smooth
it's worth noting that just below the
page of CCTV news coverage of XI
jinping's inspection of Northeast China
the weibo page shows videos and
information about the torrential rains
and floods in Shenzhen
many netizens left comments mocking Xi
Jinping for not visiting the South and
the floods but going to the north where
there were no floods she was said to
have been putting on a show it's raining
so heavily it's raining heavily in
Guangzhou it's raining heavily in Foshan
Hong Kong is also experiencing heavy
rain
some netizens mock the situation on
overseas social media X Xi Jinping is in
hey long Jiang to see the floods that
have been receding for a while the water
is in the far south but the man is in
the far north it's such a joke
there are also netizens teasing a month
after the torrential rains hit the
Northeast heilong Jiang is Breezy and
sunny and no signs of flooding can be
seen Xi Jinping only visited a village
in Harbin at this time to console the
flood victims he headed out on a clear
day
in addition from the pictures we can see
that not many people were present during
shi's visit and only a few officials
were accompanying him among the
so-called villagers many of them were
wearing camouflage military uniforms
making their identities suspicious
relatively speaking the previous leaders
of the CCP didn't act in this way we saw
former party leader hujin Tao go to the
waher river flood in 2007 the snow
disaster in the south of China and the
winchwan earthquake in 2008 as well as
the earthquake in yushu Ching Hai in
2010 he even helped to carry sacks of
relief supplies at the snow disaster
site in guilin guangxi
moreover former Premier Zhu Rong ji and
win ji Bao also visited the front line
of the disaster for example during the
winch 1 earthquake when Jai Bao even
shed tears while directing the disaster
relief efforts which was widely reported
by both Chinese and foreign media
but such a situation has taken a
dramatic turn in a decade into XI
jinping's tenure as China's president
recently there was a nearly two-week
outbreak of exceptionally heavy rains
and flooding in northern China and other
parts of the country affecting more than
7 million people across the country but
Xi Jinping has been slow to visit the
disaster relief areas
only recently after the floodwaters
receded did he visit the disaster areas
it was considered a show by the public
some netizens noted the current
Administration with disasters all over
the place doesn't even pretend to
provide disaster relief there is no harm
if there is no comparison the current
Administration is worse than the
previous ones
therefore both Chinese and English media
say that because Xi Jinping has obtained
lifelong power and he isn't under the
pressure of votes he behaves differently
from his predecessors in the face of
flood disasters
we believe otherwise we think she faces
the same public pressure during the 2023
flooding in China she should have felt
the pressure from all sides and went to
Northeast China to make up for it the
main reason why she wasn't present at
the scene of the flood was because he
was worried about his personal safety
past records show that everywhere he
goes he is always on high alert everyone
in the neighborhood has to close their
Windows the highways have to be shut
down and many bodyguards and group
actors are assigned to the scene
this is the state of security during XI
jinping's visit to Hong Kong in 2017.
[Music]
however if Xi Jinping were to appear in
a flood-stricken area it would be very
difficult to make this kind of detailed
Arrangement there would have been a lot
of unforeseen circumstances because of
the disaster
as we've shown in previous episodes she
is wary of ancient Chinese prophecies
that he might be assassinated there's
also instability in the Chinese military
right now that's why she is so concerned
about his personal safety and is
probably reluctant to visit the site of
the flooding he has too many political
considerations especially personal
safety and Power
