Bach: Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007 by Ailbhe McDonagh

The full Bach Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, BWV 1007 performed by cellist Ailbhe McDonagh. Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach in the early 18th century sometime during the period 1717 to 1723, the music starts with a prelude. After that, each movement in the Suite is inspired by different types of Baroque-era dances.

Ailbhe recorded all six Cello Suites for video to accompany her album release "Bach: Complete Solo Cello Suites" which was released on the Steinway & Sons label in 2024.
