hey it's jackie and welcome back to my channel for another victoria secret fashion show inspired
makeup look there hasn't been a show in a while and i used to love filming tutorials like this
and i was feeling in the mood to do a very shimmery 2000s inspired look i looked at the 2008
show because that was my all-time favorite show it's the first time that i think i became aware
of victoria's secret when i was in eighth grade and maybe wanted a bra or whatever but i hope you
guys enjoy my take on it i had so much fun buying some products like i got there for love and lemon
um collab and i think their pieces are beautiful they have some like dresses for spring and summer
too so i'll be trying this on and of course i picked up some um spray and cream so if you
enjoyed this video make sure you give it a thumbs up and subscribe and we'll be talking about a
bunch of iconic 2000 things through this video so hopefully that's fun and let's get into it
i was sent some new charlotte tilbury products so first we have the iconic magic cream
i haven't had this in quite a while and i forgot how nice it feels on the skin
and the new product is the collagen superfusion facial oil and i'm going to add a drop and pat it
over the skin for extra hydration it definitely makes the skin feel softer it seals in moisture
gives a glow but i think we'll stick to this more at night because even though applying the rest of
the skin makeup it was really nice it had a great barrier when i was doing my eyebrows and lip liner
i found that it was a bit more slippery due to the oil so it's up to you but i love facial oils
because they really help heal the skin if you're a skin picker like unfortunately i am we're using
the new beautiful skin foundation i have the shade four here that's been my go-to foundation and i'm
buffing it in with an it cosmetics brush this is a little bit lighter than my tan right now but
that's okay because i'm gonna add some bronzer and charlotte tilbury was the makeup artist in 2008
and i looked up the exact products used and a lot of them were from victoria's secret at the time
so i color matched some of the eyeshadows that's how i came up with the eye look but every girl's
makeup was slightly different and suited to them with too faced born this way concealer in a bronzy
shade i'm stippling this on the back of the hand and starting to create a soft contour with this
bronzer bringing in a bit more of that tan back into the skin and i'm obsessed with the laura
mercier brightening under eye powder i find a lot of my powders that i apply i still don't look that
mattified because i do use a happier moisturizer sometimes a facial oil and it takes more to set
the skin and this powder is so finely milled it gives you that blurring effect and a little goes
a long way like if you put too much it'll get in the air and you'll choke on it but i really really
recommend this powder especially for under the eyes and i'm not going to go dark with contour or
bronzer this is a fairly light bronzer shade from revlon it's a matte powder and i'm bringing it
over top of the bronzer and down the neck to help set and it just is going to help blend my neck
using kevin aquan's contour powder that i just dropped oh
i always break these things but i'm adding a bit of a nose contour
i like to add some definition to my bridge and then it connects to my brow bone slightly
then define my nose tip and i also like to add a bit under my cheekbone but i don't
want it to be too contoured because that really wasn't the vibe they looked very
fresh and what really made the cheeks pop was a strong blush color and a super bold highlight
i started with charlotte tilbury's pillow talk blush which is one of my favorites
if you want to go a drugstore i love the milani baked blushes still but i wanted the blush a bit
more bright so i took a nars matte shade that was like a reddish coral and i added this to the
cheek and while this looks very bold the extreme highlight is going to balance it out again i use
so much charlotte till breathe add the spotlight highlight and pat this over the skin and even
though we powdered i find it blended really nice and i'm going to bring this onto the brow bone
on the forehead for a nice glow and i've said this in a bunch of my videos but when you're
highlighting the nose if you do like a swipe over the entire tip it's going to make your nose appear
larger and flatter but if you do a tiny line or two lines on the tip of your nose and create
a really tiny line through the center of the nose bridge when the light picks it up it will
make the nose appear smaller quite a bold highlight i was definitely taking inspiration
for the runway for this look layer with colourpop super shock highlight and i'm putting this over as
well as adding this to my collarbones to really make it pop i hope you can hear my cat meowing
oh hi kitty no no no please i'm not stepping on my keyboard another makeup tip that i noticed
is majority of the models had quite a soft appearance with their eyebrows and hair color
so if they were blonde their brows match their roots and if they were brunette the brows were
a bit lighter than the hair color so instead of going a darker shade like i sometimes do
i'm taking a light brown and filling in some of the sparse areas but not making them any darker
i really like how this looked especially with my tan here
and i'm setting with the benefit a 24-hour brow setter
start with the champagne or pale gold all over the lid i started with the norvina palette but
then i changed my mind so i think a good option would be to build your own palette
with colourpop shimmery shadows they work really well and are very affordable so as always i've
listed all the products used and some dupes down below in the description as well as top comment
so you can easily shop the look and i do make a small commission that i just put back into my
channel so it really helps me out if you do get recommendations from my videos to shop the links
and i added a second shadow this is a matte gray through the crease i don't want it to
be too dark as i do want it to appear soft and angelic and the rest of the shadows are from a
tart palette that i assumed was still around but you can only find it on poshmark and a couple on
amazon now but i bet some of you already have this palette added a shimmery taupe in the outer corner
and a main part of this look is a strobe highlight on the cheekbone but doubts in
the show had a super bold inner corner highlight this photo is so iconic i remember seeing it in
all the victoria's secret stores and thinking it was the most glamorous shot i'd ever seen with all
the pink so i built up the inner corner with some spotlight highlight and then the same super shock
shadow that i used on the cheekbone i was finding that because i was using kind of champagne shades
they were blending into my skin and i wanted it to pop a bit more so i used a touch of this
green from the tarte palette and it made the light tone stand out without it being silvery next using
the bare minerals maximus eyeliner i wanted to give this one a try line from where your lashes
start into a soft wing in an article i was reading about the makeup they said a brown liner was used
looks black to me in the behind the scenes but i decided to rim my tight line with the brown but if
you're finding your line is looking really sharp and more batty than you're going for and you want
it to appear more blended you could take a matte black brown eyeshadow and fade it over the line
i went with ardell demi wispies for lashes and i trimmed the lashes a bit so they looked more
natural and then i didn't add a bunch of mascara over top but i did curl them together and adding
even more shimmer and if you can tell under the lash line if you bring some matte gray under
that shimmer slightly you give a smiling effect to the eye that also makes the shimmer pop more
a baby pink peach gloss i felt like that's super 2000s a fun buxom cool tone pink first
and then i layered one of the glosses from victoria's secret i picked up a new caramel
kiss which is the only one that i bought i repeatedly have bought this through the years
and for the pop culture password comment down below your fave angel or just a distinct 2000s
memory like the shows were definitely toxic to a lot of teen girls or just women in general
but they don't stand out in my mind as the most toxic like do you guys remember the search for
the next pussycat doll because i worshipped that show when i was little at ten and looking back
those girls were really young but um honestly i still throw on girlicious from time to time
and there's my take on a 2000s victoria's secret glam look here i was trying to be
trendy and do velcro rollers i only did the top layer because i suspected it would be a disaster
and i really tried to follow all the tips i could find for long fine hair like making sure you only
have enough hair to fit in the roller to not have a bunch of hair twisted or wrapped around
and just roll up gently added some oil to my end so they wouldn't stick too much
but i stand by that if you have long fine hair velcro rollers are not worth your effort
but let me know if you guys have any tips or if you're in agreement that they work the best if you
have short bouncy hair with layers here's a look at the for love and lemons lingerie that i got
it's like a piece of art it's very springy and then i thrifted this old victoria secret
robe that i thought was similar to the 2008 show i didn't want to give you just a failed
hair tutorial so here is how i'm going to create those vs curls on my long fine hair
i'm going to pin curl in the same way that i did before but instead i'm using a tapered wand
this one is by t3 micro and i have a coat on screen for 20 off of any of their hot tools
through the center pinning backwards other side again pinning towards the face
and you get a lot more longevity here without pulling them out of the velcro and then you
can either brush them out if they turned out very curly or tease them upwards if you feel like the
curls are going to fall i like using the tapered wand so that the curls weren't too perfect and i
got some wave at the bottom and a bit more volume at the top and another victoria's secret memory i
have is stealing my sister's love spell body spray and i snuck a razor to shave my legs in 6th grade
and i used the victoria's secret bear vanilla shimmer lotion again it was my sister's and then i
went to a school barbecue right after and bragged about it i had all my friends touch my legs to see
how smooth they were so i'd love to know if you guys have any victoria's secret memories
if you want to keep on watching you can check out this 90s
blowout i did with a straightener that's a great tutorial because i just kind of curled my hair
teased it out but i don't have any layers to make it kind of pc and 90s so i show how to do that in
that tutorial or if you're looking for even more glamour you might like the 60s sophia laurent
video that one was so fun to make and again very pink and i'll see you in my next video
