Van Camp BC: Escaping the Rain & Wildlife Encounters

With no set itinerary in mind, we head out in our Roadtrek Zion campervan to see if we can outrun the rain and enjoy a few days of camping. We spend a couple of nights at EC Manning Park where we encounter wildlife, and we hike to the furthest lake in the Lightning Lake chain, Thunder Lake, and have a short paddle. We then drive through the Okanagan being chased by the rain and end up in Merritt at the Marquart Lake Recreation Site, where we enjoy a peaceful lake-side camp and a walk in the grasslands.
