TOP 3 BLOODIEST Battles of Genghis Khan in History MONGOLS (FULL EPISODE). In 1211, Genghis Khan summoned all Mongol chieftains, preparing for a massive campaign against China. In the shadowy days of March 1211, the Mongol horde, numbering a formidable 100,000, embarked on an incredible campaign against the mighty Jin dynasty. With only 2,000 warriors left to defend their distant homeland, that means Over 90% of the Mongol forces were now on the march, a daring gamble that would either lead to unparalleled conquest or unimaginable ruin.

TOP 3 BLOODIEST Battles of Genghis Khan in History MONGOLS (FULL EPISODE). The Jin Dynasty, with its enormous population, mobilized an impressive force of 800,000 infantry, mostly untrained peasants with low morale, and 150,000 highly-trained heavy cavalry. Yet, this vast army was spread thin, garrisoned across the Great Wall and various fortresses. Meanwhile, the Mongols fielded a formidable 90,000-strong cavalry force, divided into 3 parts: light cavalry scouts, horse archers armed with composite bows, and heavy cavalry wielding lances and curved swords.
What would happen when these two forces clashed? Would sheer numbers prevail, or would the Mongols' training and loyalty tip the scales?

TOP 3 BLOODIEST Battles of Genghis Khan in History MONGOLS (FULL EPISODE). Siege of Baghdad 1258
The assault on Baghdad's walls began with a fury on January 29th or 30th. The Mongol forces sent arrowed messages into the city, offering false promises of safety to Christians, select Muslims, and those who hadn't fought.
On February 1st, the Mongols breached the southeast Ajami tower, near Hulegu's camp. The defenders, fueled by desperation, fought back with a wild ferocity, managing to repel the invaders. But this brief moment of triumph was just the prelude to a far darker chapter. For two relentless days, the Mongols hammered the walls, opening more breaches until, on February 4th, they seized the eastern battlements. The city trembled as the enemy poured in, their banners casting long, menacing shadows over the streets.

Amidst the chaos, the dawatdar, Baghdad's last hope, attempted a desperate escape down the Tigris. But Hulegu had anticipated this move, and his forces, like vultures circling a dying beast, forced the dawatdar back to Baghdad, sinking three of his ships in a flood of arrows and flame. Panic swept through Baghdad like wildfire, and the once-proud city was engulfed in terror.
