The grave contains the remains of a man, aged 25-35, buried face down with a Roman pugio dagger on his back. The weapon, dating to the late first century BCE, suggests he may have been a Roman soldier, possibly from Legio VII Gemina. The unusual burial, with severed feet, hints at dishonor, and the cause of death remains unclear. Researchers are extracting DNA to learn more. This discovery is part of a larger find, a Copper Age fortress, destroyed by fire after 400 years.
