We're hanging out with Emma Stone!
The favorite.
The favorite is the movie.
You got a lot of buzz for this one,
a lot of awards chatter.
It's just an amazing film.
Can you set it up, what the film's about?
It's about, well, I mean, it's these are people
that really lived.
We're not totally sure that these circumstances
were exactly how they went down,
but it was Queen Anne, early 18th century,
so 1710-ish.
And she was friends with a woman named Sarah Churchill.
So Queen Anne is played by Olivia Colman.
Rachel Weisz plays Sarah Churchill.
And then my, and they're very good friends.
And Sarica, Sarica, Sarica.
Well, that's a good name, Sarica.
Well, I was going to say Sarah has political power,
but maybe we should just name someone Sarica.
Okay, Sarah has a lot of political power
with her best friend, the Queen.
And then my character, Abigail Masham,
enters into the palace and causes a little uproar.
Yeah, exactly.
Beautifully shot.
Some scenes, almost, it looks like a fisheye lens
or some type of.
Yeah, masters.
It was a Sarica lens.
Oh, I don't know.
Yeah.
Was it Sarica?
It was a Sarica.
I mean, this is the same one that Sarica
from the 1700s, they would use the Sarica lens.
They used the Sarica on most of the shots, yeah.
I mean, that's.
It was incredible.
Sarica's also my favorite font
when I'm writing on.
That's so interesting.
Mine, too.
Can I just put this in like.
Just like, well, the font for the movie.
12 point Sarica.
If you look on the poster, it's in Sarica.
It's in Sarica.
Yes.
My favorite.
Yeah.
I love it.
And I auditioned for the role of Sarica
and got cut out of the film.
You?
I'll bring your tea right now.
Yes.
And they cut that out.
I'll bring your tea right now.
I mean, it wasn't the most compelling scene.
But Sarica's a really important character.
Well, not according to the editor, clearly.
And you have a great British accent.
Thank you.
In the movie, and clearly I know you,
so I know that you are not British,
but you're in the movie with nothing
but there are only other British actors in it.
Yes.
I was the only American.
Is that harder or is that easier?
I think maybe, well, I don't know.
I think it may be easier because when everyone around you
can be like, that sounded crazy.
Did anyone make a face like that,
like when you first started?
Yeah, they were like.
No, they did not do that.
Like that.
You guys put everything.
Everyone came together.
Great, awesome chemistry.
I want to show a clip in regards to this.
This is Emma Stone in the fight for it with a U.
F-A-V-O-U-R-I-T, because it's British.
Take a look.
Oh, I heard that.
Oh, wow, do that.
You hear that?
Yes.
Oh!
That's a good one.
Let's take a look at the clip.
The letter from our aunt.
Friends of yours?
I'm sorry.
Your name, girl, if we are allowed to name it.
I did not.
Abigail Hill, the Somerset Hills.
The one who went mad and burnt his own house down,
himself in it.
Lost all his money at UIST.
No one bets on UIST.
My uncle was one of a kind.
I apologize for my appearance.
The staff let me here.
A harmless prank of some sort, I suspect.
And do you want?
I hoped I might be employed here by you.
As something.
A monster for the children to play with, perhaps.
Yes, if you like.
Grr.
We love you.
Emma Stone, everybody.
The favorite is in select theaters, November 23rd.
Happy birthday again, pal.
Thank you.
