do your banners look like this throw
them out we're going to make banners
that look like this and I'm going to
show you guys how to create a banner
that is Flawless that does not get
twisted up turned around and it looks
perfect every single time if you are
having the banner struggle today I'm
here to help you let's go ahead and jump
into this gamechanging hack that I think
you guys are going to love so I'm just
going to cut out a few of these flowers
because the hack is really in how we
apply these elements to the string that
the banner is hanging from so we're
going to go ahead and cut out and
assemble a couple of these flowers and
then I'm going to show you this
incredible hack so we're going to start
out with the offset of one flower and
then I'm just going to do a couple in
different colors
so you're just going to assemble your
banner as normal right the hack is
really going to come in whenever we go
to hang these on the string so I'm just
going to apply some double-sided
adhesive to this flower and attach it to
my
offset and then I'm going to put our
middle piece on
there so a lot of times whenever people
make banners they will use Cricut to put
holes in the top of it which works a lot
of the times but sometimes the letters
can get like on top of each other and
they get turned around and they just
don't lay right and not only that but
it's hard to actually put them on the
string so for this tutorial you're going
to need a hot glue gun I've got my Lin
ly hot glue gun here I have my piece for
my banner and I've got my string right
but the kicker here is straws this is
the secret ingredient okay these are
smoothie straws you just need some
straight straws that you can use and
what we're going to do is open these up
I'm just going to grab one doesn't
matter the color unless you're really
picky but no one's going to see it right
so what I'm going to do because
typically whenever you make a banner it
looks like this on the back right you've
got if you glued it on the back you're
going to be able to see all this glue
and it just doesn't always line up
correctly there's a lot of things that
you can run into if you're doing it with
the holes then you don't necessarily
need the glue but if you want them to
slide onto the string a lot easier this
little hack is super helpful so for this
one right here as you can see we have
just glued a single piece of straw on
the back of all of our pieces with the
letters we put two piece pieces
individually just to kind of keep it
more organized and that's what we're
going to do here so it's as simple as
that just turn your piece
over and then at the top middle wherever
you want that that ribbon running
through or that string that's where
we're going to put our little piece of
straw so I'm just going to take some
scissors and cut off a small piece about
2 in or
so I'm going to apply a little strip of
glue
these really make it look so much neater
as well just
cleaner and then I'm going to just push
that in and let it dry I've got another
one here it's a little bit smaller I'm
going to do the same thing
too and that other part of the straw
will go flying so just so you guys know
okay so just apply a little bit of
pressure and then from there you can
simply string this through look how easy
and quick that is oh my gosh I just love
it I think it makes it so much easier to
hang these banners if you have ever
strung a bannner then you know the
struggle but this hack is seriously a
game Cher and it just looks so
good okay hey did you all use this hack
