Howdy Bird.
Those are giant cabbies.
Tram station.
All exhibits.
We should have gone where the park was.
We'll go back.
Look at that tree.
What a tree.
Five. Two.
Florida Panther.
Oops.
Davie, Florida.
Right there.
That's a big flamingo.
Looks like all the flamingos are sleeping.
On one foot.
Y'all got a duck?
Not for you, Tom.
A little tree.
A little fork.
Even the gators freak out
when a dude on a scooter comes by.
That's an alligator.
A snapping turtle right there.
Yellow-bellied slider.
The rookery.
I guess the box turtles must be
hiding.
Because I don't see them.
This is the rookery.
I guess we're going to get to see them
go down the slide.
They're too busy swimming laps.
The North American River.
That's a crazy looking
bear up there.
Two of them.
Mr. Bear looks rather bored.
They need to fix him a new
anterod deck chair so he wouldn't have to
sit in the dirt.
That's some serious bamboo right there.
There's one of the albino
peacocks.
There were several.
This was
I guess the house
for the people that created this.
That is cool
right up there.
I think there's maybe an oak tree
in here. I don't know.
Yep, right there.
To the left of it.
This is
where you get married.
In front of this great big huge
thing.
That is just
phenomenal.
Orchids
growing all over it.
I wonder if
the oak tree is still alive up there.
So
intricate.
It looks like
as the tree grew it pulled
that out of the
ground maybe. I don't know.
Moving right along.
Let's get a selfie
shot.
There we go.
Moving right along.
We go that way
and we go that way.
Looks like that will
take us down to a
lake and loop around
the lake.
Howdy! I'm John.
You work here?
No. You don't see that back gate?
No, I paid to come in.
Oh, okay.
You don't see handicapped people out here?
No, I do. I just don't see segways
and stuff out here. We got people coming in
back gates when gates are open. I don't know.
I paid to come in.
That's fine, that's fine.
Barney Frank!
That's what I should ask.
Should ask.
Who are you?
Zipping around in your little
green truck.
Oldest living plants
on earth.
This stuff over there
is Cycads
of Australia.
This is a collection
of Cycads.
I thought it was just that back there.
This is a whole
collection.
Cycads of China
and the Caribbean.
I thought they were palm
but they're not.
Cycads of the world.
Over there.
We'll go over here
and we'll go through the cactus.
A little bit of practice.
Oh yeah, yeah, there you go.
Are you shooting for any particular purpose?
I have a YouTube channel.
Oh, okay.
I travel around in my RV and document
public campgrounds.
And occasionally I'll do excursions.
I have a following of
disabled people that
don't get out, can't get out.
I got an Insta360 camera
going so you can actually do a virtual
reality on the ride.
Okay, very good.
Well, enjoy.
Where are you from originally?
Texas. Oh, okay.
That's why I talk like this.
Well, I guess so.
It's eight generations of
Texas draw. Alright.
Sometimes I have a funny accent.
When I grew up in the upper midlands of Michigan,
I sort of had a little bit of an English.
Lost everything, came down here,
met a Trinidadian and married her
and divorced.
But then
she's gone and the accent is
probably gone too.
What can I say?
Just gotta confuse people.
That's all you're doing is just
confusing us all. Alright, you good with the door?
Oh yeah, I can get it. Appreciate the offer though.
Yeah, thank you.
That is cool.
the placard,
this trail was put in
this trail was put up
or installed
to highlight native species.
Whoa!
Y'all got a duck.
Don't expect seven feet tall,
eight feet tall people.
We're in
Florida so
even
even your
local Sasquatch is
not that tall.
The skunk ape
as he is
known in Florida.
Look out, duck!
the end of the line here.
Maybe not. We'll keep going.
I see a bridge.
Wet land.
Walk wet.
Dead battery.
I'm having to swap out batteries.
So if you're on the Insta360,
enjoy the
momentary pause in
production.
I only have 90%
of my battery left.
We're done with
the Insta360.
I'll check back in when
we get to the truck.
Pardon?
Yeah.
It was a lucky move,
but hey, worth it.
