going on everybody Welcome to episode
three of T to talks today I am joined by
American or Tha American Fitness
influencer Tyler path yes sir yes sir
otherwise known as Tyler P since we're
here in Thailand right because I would
say probably in the US nobody is
familiar with that right no I usually I
go by Tyler Peta that's like the English
pronunciation Tyler paseta to how do you
say it one more
time we are here we're just through the
stories right now between tongor and
eamay we're going to go get some crazy
uh viral seafood at here High yes sir
but on the way there man I have a ton of
questions I want to ask you what real
quick I'm just gonna pop up what you're
known for right here for sure uh would
you say this is like um you have like
two personas one guy is like the the low
sophistication lifter and your other
persona is like I don't know how to say
like it's from anime but it almost
reminds me of something from anime where
that's the high sophistication lifter
yeah yeah so I I wouldn't explain it as
sophistication like low sophistication
High sophistication I honestly I really
think it comes out experience level
righta like the one the quotequote low
sophistication guys just supposed to be
the through that's not really aware of
like hop how to be mute this properly
and honestly there's like in a gym
there's probably a 100 different
exercises can do probably 200 more that
can go raw so it's kind of it's kind of
hard to expect anyone to really know
exactly what they're doing first off the
bat right so that's that's kind of like
the first die and the second p is
essentially to the expert right and you
kind of break down exactly why it's
better to do it the expert way right
like you're going to see more gains less
injuries etc etc righta just how to
optimize the movement uh what do you see
like I I would say you are probably I
don't know if this is a fair uh way to
say it but it's like are you the largest
Asian-American gen Z lifting coach I
would say I would say one of them yeah
yeah I think in terms of like providing
informative content uh
I say I'm up there right I guess like
how how do you frame is it I mean like
the way you framed it like this is the
this is the
common I call it rookie way this is the
Master Level way is it just
delivering it the material in a
different way that connects with Gen Z
or is it gen Z coding it because you're
obviously you're from
that like era or generation or culture
like what's different about coaching gen
D than coaching anybody else because
obviously art of Schwarz and ative he
would buff 60 70 years ago or whatever
40 years ago yeah yeah so I actually
think over the past even five years now
the average base knowledge or the base
knowledge for the average lifter has
like drastically improved right right so
I think at this point a lot of people
know okay you know I need a weight train
in order to build bustle if I want to
lose weight I probably should be in a
cal Gap set but how to do it that's kind
of like the that's always been like the
thing that people struggle with the most
so
I think partially because I came from
short form contact I started with short
form contact I know jzy in general like
we want things quick we want things to
the point if we really the Tik Tok the
vine version exactly yeah kind of kind
of that's that's a good way to explain
it so for me I always think okay how can
I like get my point across in the most
efficient way possible that's also not
just like super dry just me like you
know explaining things right out right
right right because probably prior there
was channels like available like that on
YouTube super dry like it's just like so
te
unless you're you're trying to be a
trainer yourself there's just no way
you're watching it right right right and
like the information is high quality
everything but sometimes
like but sometimes like sometimes people
aren't really uh interested in knowing
like the reason why they just want to
know how when you're dealing with aund
different
movements KN the reason why will stop
you right like for some reason like
trying to tell somebody the reason why
something they should do it well for for
some people whose like brain just can't
handle it or really was never meant to
contain that much information that'll
actually stop them from executing on
yeah yeah it's kind of like information
overload and I mean like my goal is I
don't want necessarily people to stop at
my content right like CU like really
Fitness is like an ice for you know like
the ice for mod like sitting on the top
and then there's I all deep into the
bottom I feel like for me I'm like in
between just dip you know I try to dip
my dip my feet a little bit into the
into the ocean little bit but I also pop
out so people first see me and they're
like okay like you know they start with
my very short videos like okay this is
how to do a Bice Pro correctly any I
shouldn't bring be bringing my shoulder
forward but then it might be like okay
like actually oh if I if I turn around
doing it instead of doing a cable curl
facing cables if I turn around it's
going to be more late in focus and
that's technically be more optimized for
biceps growth like it's kind of like a
little bit of a rabbit hole that
eventually go on right right right
because isn't it like could you distill
Fitness ADV advice down to like just eat
clean lift heavy yeah yeah you it can in
a in a at its most like base level right
at the fundamental level yeah that
pretty much sums it up to right right
right I mean it's sort of like I mean
for anything at a very very like macro
level it's like for basketball it would
be like train the right weight train a
lot yeah yeah and I think also in terms
of like let's say l accumulation it's uh
it seems like there's a very very
similar things that very successful
business own all preach right right but
sometimes it's more about okay like how
do I actually get there right because a
lot of people State wealth creation
would be like uh get a bit large profit
like have your um like Pro I don't know
just have Revenue over expenses and then
invest it right right right right but
then what um obviously the granular
details are like what investment models
suit you what like time Horizon sear you
what like uh risk profile or risk
mitigation type techniques you or like I
even generate Ren right right like what
do I do for L this right right like I
mean I I guess for myself man I I want
you to grade one of my like workout
techniques hear this I like to spend 40
minutes in the sauna in the morning and
I'll bring and I'm not gonna say which
building I live in because I'm not
supposed to do this I I bring kettle
bells into the the wooden Cedar sauna
and it's true if I drop them I could
destroy the wood but like I just need 40
minutes in there with some kettle bells
and then that that's how I get like my
full body listed because I could do the
the full body uh thrusters or the squats
and everything like that yeah yeah yeah
okay so I would say without knowing the
actual specific movements or whether
you're doing like you know if you're
doing the same exact thing every single
day or not I'm just going to great at
like a high level like kenle Bell you're
doing kettle bells just likely falling
into like the high-intensity cardio type
of activity it's called hit right
because I'm try right right right I'm
not taking it to the max level like a
hit class would be outside of the sauna
sure but for some reason I think the
sauna provides me that ability to like
get sweaty immediately it already gets
my heart rate up and once my heart rate
is up for me I'm not saying for
everybody but you know once I flesh out
the program maybe it'll work for
everybody but it's like I'm just the
type of person where I needed to feel I
need to feel like I'm in the jungle in
the Chase and then I'm going and then
I'm good okay so like it's almost like
my body hack even though I could see
like it's not recommended for everybody
because not everybody should lift in the
S because for some people without a uh
super good heart ventricles or whatever
it's going to give give him a heart
attack or something yeah okay okay so I
would say from the from a very Niche
lens of like trying to maximize
hypertrophy I would I would give it
around a PO ey okay why I think in terms
of overall so keeping in say keeping in
mind that the fact that you're getting
cardio away it's going to be good for
cardiovascular health keep in mind that
it's actually be something that you're
sticking to and like you said it's
something that you're actually more
interested in because you know you feel
like it's like it's something you can do
every s day and you're actually
consistent with right I'm looking
forward to it exactly exactly cuz a lot
of times I don't know like obviously
everybody's different uh my brother
loves calisthetics I was trying to lift
really heavy with the barbells and stuff
for a while but I wasn't I guess for me
I was like looking at it like a
responsibility but like my sauna time
with the kettle bells I really am like
man when is it like I'm you know I'm
excited yeah yeah and I think because
you're you're combining two things into
one so you're being efficient with your
time d i I bring that up to eight out of
10 bro just because you like you can't
sit to what you actually personally
preper because at the end of the day I
think the biggest thing is just you're
like consistent with something over time
right because like let's let's imagine
if you get to your dream physique it's
like okay it's took x amount of years or
maybe for x amount of months depending
on like if you're genetics right where
where your goals are or you're still
going to have to maintain it after right
so really the the key thing is like you
want to find something you actually
enjoy you can stick to long term so that
like kind of like how um uh compound
interest works over the long term it
just just gets easier and easier for you
to stick to it and as you're working out
you're getting more repetitions in by
proxy like you're over time you're
probably going to get closer and closer
to probably get closer and closer to
your dream of Z right right and I guess
this is sort of uh interesting because
you know a lot about Finance because you
were you were a finance major right so
business I was information assistance
and marketing right right and you know a
lot about like uh different investment
vehicles and isn't it sort of like you
know how like everybody if you guys are
in the business board you got a friend
that got off like renting cars you got a
friend that got rich off like renting
houses what you got a guy uh guy who got
rich doing airbnbs some people are more
about Remodeling and flipping some
people Remodel and keep them as rentals
some people are into crypto some people
do everything but it's more rare because
it's too much information like some
people you kind of got to get like rich
on your passive income streams that like
fit what you you know how to do right
yeah yeah so like I I I had friends that
were finance major some of them you know
when Sim than like H some some hat right
uh I think similar to Fitness it's like
again the endle is just to make money
here but it's like okay what route fits
me the most right and I like to think
Fitness is pretty much the same way
right okay like you Mees it you really
have to do is work train hard and E
relatively clean but how do I get myself
to do that on a consistent basis right
both size dude a lot of people don't
know maybe they're born I mean I would
say the only people who never study this
who kind of execute on it it's somebody
was like born into a family that got
rich doing one of these things
commercial real estate whatever whatever
whatever and they kind of like learned
it from their parents and they're like
oh yeah this works I'm G just stick to
it but everybody else whose parents like
in a way didn't do that you're out
researching trialing and erroring like
you know what I mean like you're you're
jumping into this investment vehicle uh
I did this for a few years it doesn't
suit me and then some people they find
even something as volatile as like forx
that's what suits them but obviously for
a lot of people I don't think that that
suits them but for a few people that's
going to be what makes them Rich yeah so
I guess like uh as your job in your
program obviously that you have a Styler
path is that to help people find that or
are you more recommending something
where you're like this is my method
tried and true I see so I think it's a
little bit of in between right because
there's like each each individual
there's some sort of customization that
has to go on in order for them to S to
something right was wor on the me plan
as well as like the programming at so
what I try to do is like I just try to I
just try to make it more I just try to I
just try to have I just try to have them
get to their goals more efficiently so
let's say if their goal is to optimize
for muscle growth only and that's like
really all they care about on that case
right it makes sense for them to be and
small c c plus with their lead bul and
then on the workout program on the
workout programing side I'm giving them
like a high bound slit but if it's let's
say some some person that you know he's
a dad who's already working he has kids
to also manage he doesn't have a lot of
time for the gym Mayon would have scale
back and give him something more
quotequote like bare bows or more like
very jam-packed into a condensed amount
of time that he can actually stick to gu
right right right right I guess
Switching gears here out of like Fitness
influencer mode let's just talk about
being a Thai American right now which
obviously we had talked off camera like
there was not a big Thai American
community in America like it's like
microscopic did you know that out of a
100 asian-americans one of them is C
Thai American statistically but it's
going to be 11% of the
restaurants yeah so it goes to show you
that people love Thai food by the way
it's probably the most overrepresented
no it is actually is so the most
overrepresented Asian Foods H it's like
a sushi because a lot of non Japanese
people open up sushi restaurants and
even like non- tii people sometimes open
up Thai restaurants Thai people open up
sushi too you've seen the Thai and Sushi
restaurants espect in the South like
Texas especially in rural like San
Antonio you find a ton of like pad tie
Sushi omes and a Beni hanana Allin one I
mean I guess like what was that like do
how different is it because I'm from the
largest not not only am I from the
largest group of people on Earth well
now India's like supplanted China is the
most populated but for a long time my my
life China was the most populated group
on the in the world it was also the
biggest Asian yeah and then tide was the
smallest Asian pretty much at least it
seems that way in America it really
seems that way and you know I I don't
want to speak for all the time Americans
because I feel like dude you you see
you're you take two time Americans and
put them in a room like they might have
like extremely different interests I
think it comes down to there's I think
for you're saying there's no archetype
of a time yeah whereas like a Filipino
it's like man he might be a DJ and he
might like be a nurse too like that's
it's archetype piing you know might play
UK when they're growing up stuff like
that yeah there there's no like uh I
guess there's no big TI role model for
all Tha Americans Aspire towards and
because of that there's no like um least
Thai American culture like I don't even
know what that would look like right so
I think for my experience it's it's more
more so if you're a Thai American and
you're let's say you're growing up with
uh like be it friends or Filipino
Community like you know those are keep
those are the other issues you interact
with might just kind of adopt more of
their you know their interests their
Hobbies um on the other hand what would
what would the tying version of Kevin wi
be like let's say for example he grow
around a lot of vits and he joins the
Kevin win let's just think of what the
tide version of Kevin H is just face off
the last thing though bro oh so you're
saying it yeah like instead of Kevin wi
would be Kevin bro I thing my
tie thing about Tai people no one has
the same last name like two different
families can't have the same last name
legal oh really yeah yeah so every Ty
person is that to pre prevent inbreeding
or is that
no that's what I was thinking logically
because that way you don't have to Tech
the family tree like I don't know I
don't know the reasoning but I'm pretty
sure it's not that okay
um I think someone isn't it because like
when different people came to Thailand
let's say for example Thai Chinese and
they wanted to become tie they had to
take take on ch ch a Tha last and they
would take on something that was like a
combination of they made it longer and
longer technically that that includes me
or my father because like Bas well my
last name would have been Lim a am oh
right uh but we actually spoke on a
family of friends last day uh cuz at the
time yeah it's like some like some sort
of uh discrimination you might been to
right right right they have like
assimilation laws right like like or
something like that I'm not that closely
tied but like I'm not that closely
familiar but it uh something like that
right right right so we're pulling up
here on here high right now which is
interestingly enough like kind of like I
want to say almost maybe like some
Chinese Thai food some of it yeah so go
do you want to be a Thai American
influencer like do you want that to be
part of your identity do you want people
to know like yo I'm Thai American guys I
know there's not a lot of us maybe I'm
assuming a lot of you guys' families may
have been involved in the restaurant
industry at some point right yeah that
was that true for your family as well
yeah it was it was and no definitely do
like I feel like because there's so few
time Americans like I growing up I feel
like I wish I saw had more like time
amican roas at least like kind of
somewhat give me make me be more proud
of being Tha early on right it wasn't
until later when I actually grew
up like what did you think about being
Tha growing up was it informed by people
just talking about pad tie to you or was
it let's be honest St America a lot of
Hangover lady [ __ ] jokes or were you like
no I like I would go back to Thailand
growing up I know it's dope now
everybody knows Thailand is dope in 2025
but people didn't know five 10 years ago
for sure I think the biggest thing was
food like back in the day everyone would
be like oh yeah like oh you're Tha Dre I
love P Tai like that's like the extent
of their knowledge and then obviously
they're not to say like the Le boyless
they like we friends try makeing acing
jokes did they did they ever did they
did you ever want to lean into it like
yeah call me pad Tyler pad I I don't do
that
pck right right right right right but
some people do right they kind of like
play into like they're like oh yeah
that's what everybody knows like Pat Tai
my name's Tyler I'm sure there do you
have any thoughts on like what you want
to say to Young Thai Americans that are
watching now and it's like yo they have
you to look up too you know I know like
um Tim deag was TI you know what I mean
like I mean I think big thing is I
americ you're you're in the unique
position where you you probably don't
have a lot of external pressures on the
social side to know go a certain path so
for I think I think the big thing is you
can lean on to individuality really
pursue your specific interests and of
course like represent Tha of course
represent T at first represent Thailand
in a great way west world like I guess
what do you think it would be you think
like a tide archetype it's different
because you know how like I would say
broadly guys listen we talked about this
on the channel before so I'm not scared
to say it like they're sort of like at
the most broadest level there's like
East Asian stereotypes and then
Southeast Asian stereotypes but I
wouldn't say the Tai is necessarily F
either of them yeah yeah it's it's kind
of its own thing yeah know and man it's
so hard because the caly Dude takes type
people are so different just because no
there's no like really cohesive culture
but again that puts us you in the unique
position to actually like create that
and you I'm I'm excited to see what that
would look like and you know what the
funny thing is after getting to know you
and like more like people like I almost
feel like my person of my own identity
growing up was I think it was a lot more
pushpull but I feel like it's kind of
settled to what like Itali American
identity is too because I saw both sides
like I would be like with Hyper academic
overachievers on Sunday like at my
Chinese church but I would hang out with
a lot of my friends in my city growing
up that were Southeast Asian it's sure a
lot of their parents were refugees and
their older cousins or older brothers
and sisters had saw some like really
really like crazy stuff you know what I
mean and I was kind of like
triangulating
yeah oscill and that's sort of like
because he up a lot of ties too right
yeah yeah it's weird like you're you're
salty phasi and there's some like
stereotypes like go with that but at the
same time it's like why not fit in with
the actual souie pH because there's not
necessarily like the refugee experience
right exactly exactly so anyway guys
we're gonna finish up uh the rest of Tuk
Tok talk with some here high oh my
goodness I'm so excited now we've
arrived here at here high this probably
one of the most viral Foody spots
especially if the Asian Community
because Asians tend to like Super Value
Seafood right for sure what are we
looking at all right so over here we
have Manis with Kum with rice then this
one here it's crazy because these with
the shell on they look like aliens they
look like Predators like where going
then this one is uh spring roll pool so
crab spring rolls right here okay and
Hau this is crab fried rice this is
really what they're really for like this
is the thing you have to get and then
this it comes with
they call njim right so basically like a
different sauce but I feel like a lot of
time people also call like sea sea
sauce oh talk about this gigantic SP
have this what is this giant shrimp is
it there's a River Park yeah yeah this
is you I thought it was a lot yeah dude
this one is so viral sha lot definitely
a lot of Chinese here this is what it's
probably be my favorite Kio so crab on
it and guys listen this is just on side
just got three fried eggs for a dollar a
dollar for three of them for po rning
extra man let's let's just let's just uh
eat this yeah yeah but I was going to
say oh oh we got one last day we got the
stir fried shrimp yes we Fri chili
saltum yes it's like salt and chili and
garlic I believe oh yeah AR you guys
this would be a CB scoll Go For It Go
got some people EA
you know it's interesting because you're
expecting a flavor explosion with the
fried egg R skin but it's it's pretty
subtle yeah yeah I think clean and Ty
there's a word called out lean it kind
of means kind of like greasy too fatty
right Tai people they generally describe
good food as m m is not greas not greasy
and not fatty oh okay this is really
mainly what have been your favorite
things because now you're making several
trips a year back to Bai even though
like we said your family is from a
different Province right I mean like
what is your favorite things to eat and
what is your favorite things to do
because I think that Thailand but
specifically Bangkok is in such a
special era and it's like you as a Tha
American it's like why not come back you
can come back with your parents and Etc
like yeah I think big right well
obviously from you to gy and like dude
Bok has one of the nicest gyms I've ever
seen when at any tier level tier right
so there's more like bodybuilder
hardcore grimy ones in uh at musle
factory but then there's also super nice
stuff like Fitness First uh virgin
attive ore you can find machines that
you can't even find like out in or this
Ace like angelum squats or something
yeah angelum squats are there as you see
like some really cool like uh CeX
machine
VI y I have the manag all right I got to
ask you my final two questions three
questions what do you think about like
so many like first of all influencers
but I guess specifically like Fang
influencers or just like fangs in
Thailand which are obviously like white
people often times from Austria
Australia England not not really as many
Americans to be honest like not a lot of
Americans make it to this part of the
world yeah yeah I mean I think the big
thing is all right like as long as they
remain respectful to the culture and
they don't just like paint Tha Thailand
as like this like stereotypical hang
over type of scene you know they're
actually being authentic with stuff they
posting and actually go to places likeor
I where PR much the opposite where you
see the hang I don't really have a
problem with it you right right tongor
ecite is very non n whatever is n is
it's just not like that yeah quite I
think it's a shame that like the general
stereotype here is like you know at
least for more front or is oh you know
like at least the subset of them are
thinking here is this is where like you
know you get easy play it's like G CD
and stuff but I think Bangkok has so
much more to offer I think it's that's
really erent even even among everyone
there's that actually are aware of sub P
right and I think a lot of like the
younger H craters they're definitely
doing a better jot than let's say
like I guess uh what do you think about
like the non there's so many like non
tied but also Asian-American or from
Asia
Japan Korea China creators in Bangkok
yeah it's similar right I mean naturally
just because especially if
Asian-American like they never
understand it like you know just they
kind of understand how to respect
culture
lot they know how it feels
like so it's like culture could be CED
out by the most like stereotypes right
so stere yeah so they understand here
like you know Ty probably cath probably
has more op that
I guess last but not least what are your
interactions with like local Thai people
like because obviously your Thai
American your parents are from Thailand
I'm imagining they left a few decades
ago you're coming back you speak TI but
not at a 10 out of 10 level yeah I have
a American accent is what what I oh and
going to speak tie so it's funny like I
say half the people you know I try to
speak tie with them know they respond
back in eng like man right but the other
half you know they they they're curious
they're like okay like oh like no you
you speak really good like they might
not even know because because there's
not a huge diaspora one thing I noticed
here in Thailand is like if you're Asian
speaking English they're like Hong Kong
Singapore whereas like when I was in
Vietnam because they have such a
gigantic gascar in the W they
immediately know they would be like oh
PQ or like like that's like so they know
because maybe their cousin is that yeah
yeah whereas here it's almost like some
people don't know a single person who
moved to the West no for like I think
the the idea of a Tha americ is actually
very foreign to Tai because like even
when I'm explaining to them like oh like
you know you I was born in America but
my parents like you know they Russy or
Bor Bor in Thailand they moved over then
I was born there they like they won't
understand the first time they'll be
like oh wait so like you're like you're
like a wasan kid you're like like no no
no I'm not it's like oh okay so like oh
it's all you went to the US to study and
then you you're coming back oh no
actually I was born like I was born in
America so a l of them actually don't
really understand the concept of
American say very neat know I think that
that species the unique nature of
Thailand like it doesn't have the same
story as almost every other country in
Asia there wasn't an intense Civil War
or intense involvement in World War II
um yeah it's just like a I guess that's
why it's so chill here right hey guys
ear please just end off on the river pra
and give us your view and then that's it
for this T all all right let's do it
follow me on TI time YouTube at Tyler
path and IG at aeta that's my last name
p you type in Tyler pad you all right
you guys it there that's it for this
episode of chuk chuk talks here live in
Bangkok till next time we out peace
