hey everybody Welcome to the wock way
I'm Jessica and today's video is going
to be a homeschool showand tell The
Homeschool Show and Tell is an open
collaboration hosted by Abby from Rudin
arrest and myself our goal with the
homeschool show Andel was just to show
that there's not one right way to
homeschool so we do that by bringing
homeschoolers together from around the
world each and every month to share
their take on a specific topic this
month's topic is going to be so much fun
I cannot wait to watch everybody's
because it's you might be a homeschooler
if so we're all going to be kind of
sharing like our own little funny
antidotes or stories that 100% call us
out as homeschoolers and like I said I
can't wait it's going to be so much fun
to watch my first like funniest kind of
story ever is um you might be a
homeschooler if you clean your bookshelf
out and have multiple copies of books
I'm not talking like one I'm talking
multiple multiple copies um in fact I
actually shared this on Instagram
probably about a year ago so I'm going
to go ahead and share it with you guys
now so you can see that it is 100% true
so I'm sitting down here cleaning out
our bookshelves because we are at
maximum capacity like I have no more
room and I've already ordered more books
for the upcoming school year and I need
a place to put them so Kevin suggested I
clean some of the bookshelves off I'm
like okay fine I'll do that but this is
what I keep
finding there are ridiculous amount of
duplicates and it gets worse
because there is a fourth one in Emily's
room I have four of these books it's an
okay book it is not that good though the
other thing that I have that is you
might be a homeschooler if is you might
be a homeschool or if your dining room
table not only doubles as a place to eat
a place to do School uh a place to do
projects and a place to have lunch and
snacks it is a double duty multi-purpose
table the funniest thing about it for us
is we have a Homeschool Room that is
amazing we love our Homeschool Room but
somehow we still always always always
end up here at the dining room table and
every time it's time to eat meals we are
like pushing things to the side out of
the way making room for a plate or
clearing off just enough so that we can
sit down together as a family and have a
meal you might be a homeschooler if you
turn everyday outings into learning
experiences or lessons um um all of
these are true stories we have turned
going to the grocery store into math
lessons on multiple occasions like since
Emily was in
preschool we have turned trips to theme
parks and to geography lessons I mean
Hello who needs to teach their kid how
to read a map everybody right
and every time we go to vote that almost
always turns in to some form of
government or civics lesson and the last
one I have that is probably I don't know
if it's the funniest it's definitely the
grossest I think um and probably the one
thing that I felt like earned my spot
like I became a homeschooler the day
that this happened you might be a
homeschooler if you have a bug hotel in
your
kitchen um we actually did it two years
in a row we bought the whole like
rotting log kit and it had beetles and
centipedes and earthworms and um I don't
know it was like a whole ecosystem and
it lived on the countertop in our
kitchen um and it definitely felt like a
full circle you have 100% submitted
yourself as a homeschooler because you
have bugs in your kitchen which is gross
but weird and also it was super
educational and kind of fun if I'm being
honest um I'm not a bug person but those
little centipedes or Millipedes I'm
sorry they were millipedes those little
millipedes like they really had my heart
like there was not um a day that went by
that I didn't talk to them or hold them
and when we finally let them go into you
know their real environment and the real
world I was just a little bit sad to see
them go which is why we ended up doing
it a second
year now I could go on and on all day
long about things that you might have
done if you're a homeschooler but I
would love to hear some of yours tell me
some of your funniest antidotes or
stories that would go along with this
topic let me know down in the comments
you might be a homeschooler if
