Motorcycle Adventure Tour

The San Juan Mountains of Colorado are an adventure motorcyclist's paradise.
Every vista is like something from a Bob Ross painting, complete with rivers and mountains,
dilapidated wood structures, and plenty of happy little trees. Gorgeous alpine scenery,
exciting but relatively easy double track cliffside rides, cool mountain air,
hundreds of miles of off-road trails, and did I mention the scenery? This year I made it to
Colorado's Alpine Loop in late summer, accompanied by my good friends Jeff, also known as Colorado
Dual Sport, some guy who never took his helmet off who goes by HermitDaVlog, and Isaac whose
DR650 exploded on the way from New Mexico, so he showed up without a bike. We rented this cool
little cabin right off the million dollar highway near the Red Mountain Pass. My gross old demons
got the best of me, so I decided to drive out instead of ride the KLR, but Hermit very
graciously let me ride his nimble little Honda XR250R, which was just a hair anemic up above
the tree line. This ride was special to me. In some ways I considered it to be my last
Colorado hoorah. CDS will soon be changing his name to PMV for Pennsylvania Minivan,
and HermitDaVlog will be changing his name to HermitDoesn'tVlogMuchAnymore. The San Juans
are too beautiful for their own good, and the overcrowding and 4x4 traffic
will probably have me looking elsewhere for future Colorado rides.
Even so, for the two days we got to ride together, we made the most of it.
Just two days of riding on many trails I'd already seen, but the perspective was worth it.
Some of the scenery and riding was eclipsed by the hordes of jeeps and side-by-sides, but
all in all this wasn't about getting together for some grand adventure to the middle of nowhere.
This was a simple motorcycle ride, and a fine one at that. Sometimes you don't need the hardship or
the grandeur of an intercontinental expedition. Sometimes it's about getting together and doing
something we mutually enjoy, sharing laughs about the overbearing notes taped to everything in that
rental cabin, eating some good food, and making the best of our time together, before saying
goodbye to old friends. So a huge thanks to Jeff, Hermit, and Isaac for sharing such a great time
and reminding me that the motorcycle is just the brush, the landscape is just a canvas,
but it's the friendships that make the paint and bring the whole scene together.
Happy little trees and all. Much love, ladies and gentle tubers. EverRide out.
Hey, what's up guys? It's EverRide. Thank you so much for watching that video. Hopefully you
enjoyed it. If you liked the video, please go ahead and hit the like button, and then hit

to my patrons for making all of this possible. I wouldn't have any of the camera equipment,
I wouldn't have any of the motorcycles, I wouldn't have a channel without them. So
thank you so much. Much love. EverRide out.
