Amendment to notify parents of sexual assault is rejected by House Democrats

Rep. Travis Couture's proposed an amendment to House Bill 1296 that would have required school districts to immediately notify parents or guardians if their child is the victim of sexual misconduct by a school employee.

Democrats on the House Education Committee rejected his amendment.
