At this moment our world is grappling with a staggering loss of innocent lives, and a shared grief.

Almost 10 years ago to the day, I experienced a more personal, more common and natural experience of grief: the loss of a parent, the loss of my father.

My heart is with those personally feeling loss today or facing the difficulties of losing a loved one.

May the sweet memories only grow stronger over time.
