My favorite painting “Fortitude” / Lucy's Talk

The painting, this is a true story; The image of an American Falun Gong practitioner standing firm in a snowstorm, holding a banner with the Statue of Liberty in the background, feels incredibly symbolic—like a beacon of courage and resilience against oppression.

The persecution of Falun Gong is the campaign initiated in 1999 by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to eliminate the spiritual practice of Falun Gong in China, Millions of innocent people in China have been fired from their jobs, expelled from schools, jailed, tortured, or killed simply for practicing Falun Gong. The Party’s ultimate solution for the vast  number of incarcerated Falun Gong practitioners, however, is much more terrifying.
