I will give you secrets to boost your YouTube income.
Ever wonder why some YouTube channels rake in cash while others struggle?
Well, you're about to find out.
So by the end, you will fully understand why with five key tips.
And trust me, you won't find another video as comprehensive as this one.
First, let me ask you this question.
Why did you start your YouTube channel?
Just be honest.
For some, it's passion.
But for most of us, it's about the money.
And you know what?
That's totally okay.
If you're here to make some serious cash, you're in the right place.
Let's dive in.
All right, let's kick things off with tip number one.
Understanding how YouTube ad revenue works.
Do you know those ads that pop up before or during videos?
Some short, some long, some skippable.
Well, those aren't just there to annoy you.
Companies pay big bucks to get their products in front of YouTube's massive audience.
We're talking 2.49 billion monthly active users.
That's like a third of the world's population.
Now, here's where we come in.
As creators, we're basically renting out our video space for these ads.
When someone watches an ad on our video, we get a cut of that ad revenue.
But how do we boost that income?
It all comes down to two important words.
CPM and RPM.
CPM, or cost per 1,000 impressions, is what advertisers pay YouTube for 1,000 views on your video.
But those who come from countries like United States,
Britain, or Canada are willing to pay the highest spee.
As you can see from this table.
But don't get too excited.
YouTube takes its share, leaving us with about 55% of the total CPM.
Then there's RPM, or revenue per 1,000 views.
This is the real deal.
How much you actually pocket per 1,000 views after YouTube's cut?
It is based on several revenue sources, including ads,
channel memberships, YouTube premium revenue, super chat, and super stickers.
You can check your RPM by this formula.
RPM equals to estimated earnings divide to number of views, then multiple to 1,000.
For example, you can go to YouTube and copy the link of a channel like MrBeast,
then go to socialblade.com, paste the link to the searching bar,
and you can see the analytic of the channel.
I will take his estimated earning in a month, which is around $4.4 million.
Divide this number to 2.1 billion views that he got for the last 30 days,
and multiple the figure to 1,000.
We can see MrBeast actually earn around $2.1 for every 1,000 views.
Understanding these terms is crucial because they're the key to unlocking higher earnings.
In the next tips, I'll show you exactly how to pump up those numbers.
Ready to make it rain?
Let's keep going.
All right, time for tip number two, finding a high-value audience.
This one's a game changer, guys.
So what's a high-value audience?
It's simple.
It's the audience advertisers are willing to fork out more cash to reach.
Why?
Because these viewers are more likely to buy their stuff.
Let me break it down with a personal example.
I'm from a small, beautiful country with only 22 million people.
If I made videos just for my local audience,
advertisers wouldn't exactly be lining up to throw money at me.
The potential customer base is just too small and the CPM is too low.
But here's where it gets interesting.
When I started targeting international audiences,
we're talking US, UK, big European countries.
Suddenly, advertisers were all over it.
Why?
More people means more potential customers.
Now, brace yourselves for some mind-blowing numbers.
On my local channel, the RPM is a measly 30 cents.
But on my international channels, it blew up to $8 or more.
That's over 20 times the revenue for the same number of views.
That's crazy, right?
So if you're serious about turning your YouTube channel into a cash machine,
you've got to think global.
One easy way to do this?
Create your content in English.
It's the most widely spoken language online.
And boom, instant wider audience.
Remember, in the YouTube game, it's not just about how many views you get.
It's about who's doing the viewing.
Target those high-value audiences and the RPM of your YouTube channel will increase.
Now is tip number three.
Choosing a profitable niche.
This is where things get really interesting.
So here's a shocker for you.
Not all YouTube niches are created equal.
That's right, guys.
The amount you earn can vary wildly depending on what kind of content you're putting out there.
Let me blow your mind real quick.
Imagine you've got a hilarious video that hits 1 million views.
Awesome, right?
Well, in the comedy niche, that might net you about $500.
Not bad.
But now, imagine that same video was about tech.
Those same 1 million views could bring in a whopping $3,600.
That was fantastic.
You see the difference if you start a channel without knowing that you will lose your time and money.
Let me give you 15 niches in their RPM.
Then you will be able to understand which niches are profitable and which are not.
At the bottom of the ranking is comedy with $1.
However, I don't think this is a suitable niche to start a YouTube channel.
Next is the gaming niche.
YouTube is a massive platform for gaming content.
Although YouTube Gaming generated around 1.13 billion hours watched per quarter in 2023 alone,
the RPM for this niche is only $1.60.
In 13th place is the fitness and bodybuilding niche, which has similar numbers to gaming.
With the growing demand for health worldwide,
content creators in this niche have seized the opportunity to develop
various types of content around this topic.
The travel niche ranks 12th with $2.
Just ahead is the cooking niche with $2.50.
In 10th place is the motivational niche.
Motivational content ranges from $2.50 to $4 depending on the content and the audience.
In 9th place is the beauty and makeup niche with an RPM of $3.
Fashion content ranks 8th on this list with an RPM of $4.
In 7th place is the lifestyle and vlogs niche with an RPM of $3.50.
Next is asthma and satisfying videos which also have an RPM of $3.50.
In 5th place is a niche I absolutely love, technology with an RPM of around $7.50.
Ranking 4th is the education content niche,
which is similar to my channel and has an RPM of around $9.90.
In 3rd place is the personal finance niche, one of the highest paid niches on YouTube.
Finance content is cashing in with a $12 RPM.
Viewers are often looking to make or save money, making them a prime target for relevant ads.
Number 2 is the digital marketing niche.
Another high paying niche with an RPM of $12.50.
As businesses increasingly move online, the demand for digital marketing knowledge is skyrocketing.
Finally, the number 1 niche is how to make money,
which has an RPM of around $13.40.
It's the king of YouTube monetization.
So there you have it, now you can understand which niches are profitable and which are not.
I would recommend you select a niche that has an RPM higher than $3.
And remember, while RPM is important, it's not the only factor.
Passion, expertise, and audience connection all play crucial roles in long-term YouTube success.
So, if you select a profitable niche and create those videos in English,
you will have a high-value international audience.
The next tip, follow YouTube's guidelines.
Now, I know it might sound simple, but trust me, it's crucial.
When you're creating content, remember to steer clear of things like inappropriate language,
adult content, violence, drugs, hate speech, or sensitive topics.
Why is this so important?
Well, if you don't follow these rules,
advertisers might not want to put their ads on your videos, and that can really hurt your revenue.
Remember, creating great content is important, but so is playing by the rules.
It's all about finding that sweet spot where your creativity meets YouTube's guidelines.
Trust me, your channel will thank you for it in the long run.
Alright guys, we've made it to our final tip,
and it's a big one that can really boost your YouTube game.
Let's talk about video length and watch time.
If your video duration is less than 8 minutes, there will be two types of ads on your video,
at the beginning of the video and the end of the video.
But if your duration is higher than 8 minutes, YouTube will add mid-roll ads as well.
So, a video with an 8-minute duration has a higher CPM than a video with a 7-minute duration.
Keep this in mind, try to create videos that have at least 8 minutes duration.
Basically, longer videos have higher CPM.
You are probably already quite familiar with videos that depict sounds like rain falling,
water flowing, or those videos with cafe ambience, right?
Channels like Soothing Relaxation often create this type of content,
which usually has a very high RPM.
And the final factor you should consider is the watch time of your video.
Okay, let's wrap this up guys, make sure to follow these tips and you will see the difference.
So, when you are making the videos, make sure to create them in an interesting way,
and add some edits and funny things.
If the viewer gets bored during the video, they will scroll down to the next one.
Alright everyone, don't hesitate any longer, be confident with the knowledge
I have just shared with you, and start uploading videos on YouTube now.
Your goal should be to keep the viewer on your video.
For as long as you can, this will increase your CPM.
If you found this helpful, don't forget to like and subscribe,
it really helps the channel.
I'll see you in the next video.
