L.A. Fires: Jennifer Garner, Angelina Jolie, Beyoncé & More Stars Stepping Up to Help

I did lose a friend who did not get out in time and Jennifer made that tearful revelation on live TV. She spoke with MSNBC's Katie Tour alongside World Central Kitchen founder Jose Andres in the Pacific Palisades. My heart bleeds for my friends. I mean I can think of a hundred families and there are 5,000 homes lost. I can without even I could just write out a list of a hundred friends who lost their homes. It's just like I feel almost guilty walking through my house just you know what can I do how can I help what can I what can I offer what do I have to offer with these these hands and these walls and the safety that I that I have. Those are the questions being asked all over LA in the aftermath of the deadly firestorm. Angelina how are you? A photographer caught up with Angelina Jolie and her son Knox outside a grocery store. Are you concerned about any other fires that are going on? Okay thank you. Eva Longoria revealed she's also taking care of friends at her home. It was spared by the fire and she is donating to help others too. I'm gonna be supporting this is about humanity. They are matching up to $50,000 for frontline essential workers and families that are impacted by the fires. I'm gonna be matching that $50,000 personally. Following Sharon Stone's lead, Halle Berry packed up her entire closet to donate to this fire relief pop-up store in Los Angeles. Sharon, Halle, they're just what can they do to help? They just do it. They open their doors and everybody is throwing their arms around anybody who needs help. Beyonce's Be Good Foundation is donating two and a half million dollars to aid families who lost their homes in the Altadena fire. This entire decimation of communities is, God, it was like watching a horror movie in like real time and I've never experienced that as someone who's a philanthropist. Bethany Frankel's Be Strong charity is also mobilizing to provide aid. Literally your money is transferred into cash cards for individuals that we have vetted who have lost everything. That's Meghan Markle and Prince Harry of course and they're talking to the mayor of Pasadena. LA's Fox 11 captured this video of the Sussexes helping evacuees at the Pasadena Convention Center. For them to come out here and and meet with the first responders, meet with the people who are affected, is very important. You know, they they really buoyed the spirits of the first responders. Fellow Brit Simon Cowell made his own plea for donations to the Red Cross. I'm going to make a donation. I strongly ask other people like myself who can do something to help to help because there's an awful lot of people right now who are going to need help now and in the future. And I'm sending you my love, my prayers, my support, lots of love. That's where Michael Douglas is sending a contribution to. This is not a question of blue states or red states, Republicans or Democrats. This is humanitarian. And this is really, really a major crisis. So please, please, whatever you can, try to help everybody out. An urgent message being sent around the globe for help for L.A.
