1986 年，伦敦金融城经历了“大爆炸”式的放松管制，码头区有望成为伦敦的股票交易中心。曼哈顿风格的建筑很快就开始占据整个天空，但加拿大房地产大亨保罗·赖希曼 (Paul Reichmann) 投巨资建筑，修建码头区轻轨... 直到 1999 年以后，金丝雀码头才开始腾飞 ✈️

金丝雀码头中心矗立着西萨·佩里（Cesar Pelli）设计的 50 层钢塔，被称为“金丝雀码头”（Canary Wharf）但正式名称为加拿大广场一号（One Canada Square）主宰着东伦敦的天际线（它曾是伦敦最高的建筑，直到 2010 年被碎片大厦超越）🚀

金字塔形屋顶顶端的闪烁灯是警告飞机飞往城市机场途中经过。商店和咖啡馆挤满了从建在塔底部的 DLR 站通往卡伯特广场的拱廊。这里和金丝雀码头的其他地方一样，通过树木、雕塑和街道家具实现了高标准的景观美化✨

Canary Wharf Underground Station (Jubilee Line), this massive development has some of the tallest buildings in the UK and Europe, covering 14 million square feet, including offices, apartments, hotels, restaurants and shops. It brings together all the well-known companies in the international financial world. From Canary Wharf, you can see the skyscrapers of the City of London (The Shard), another financial center in London.

In 1986, the City of London experienced a "big bang" deregulation, and the docklands were expected to become the stock trading center of London. Manhattan-style buildings soon began to occupy the entire sky, but Canadian real estate tycoon Paul Reichmann invested heavily in construction and built the Docklands Light Railway... It was not until after 1999 that Canary Wharf began to take off.

At the heart of Canary Wharf stands Cesar Pelli’s 50-storey steel tower, known as Canary Wharf but formally One Canada Square, which dominates the East London skyline (it was once the tallest building in London until it was surpassed by the Shard in 2010).

Flashing lights atop the pyramidal roof warn of passing aircraft en route to City Airport. Shops and cafes fill the arcade that leads from the DLR station built at the base of the tower to Cabot Square. Here, as elsewhere in Canary Wharf, high standards of landscaping have been achieved with trees, sculptures and street furniture.
