the long anticipated 2025 Nissan Morano
haide my name is Christopher this is
cars unlocked let's get to
[Music]
it so if you've been a fan of the Nissan
Morano you'll know that it was freshly
redesigned in 2024 so over 10 years it
was certainly due for an overhaul now
we're here with the Platinum trim level
so this this is the highest trim level
this one's going to come with a Canadian
MSRP of
54498 for all my American friends this
Platinum trim level is going to start
with an MSRP of
49600 so we're seeing a new exterior
color for 2025 this is the Aurora blue
obviously it's going to come with the
traditional colors the black the gum
metallic and it's also comes in Nissan
champagne silver that we've seen on some
of their other model so you can check
those out on the Nissan website but
let's look at the changes to the front
end they kind of kept it with this
athletic stance and styling but they
really changed up the headlights here
they went with more LED headlights and
it's kind of a flattened out headlight
we still see remnants of Nissan's known
vo motion Grill here with the headlights
we do have a forward faing camera as
well parking sensors and we have our
sensor here for the safety features
which we're going to show you when we
take it for a drive here there's also
the Morano stamp right into this kind of
front hood accent which is black and
kind of contrast great with this color
checking out the side profile here now
let's start with the rims here this
Morano comes with these machine finish
21 in aluminum alloy rims they almost
look like a hubc cap but I kind of like
the new style of the rims it's sitting
on Bridgestone all season tires of
course this Platinum Morano is going to
come with the all-wheel drive now moving
along it does come with the blackedout
mirror caps we have led accents on the
mirrors they are power folding mirrors
as well and you can see on the top here
this one has the chrome finish
throughout the windows keeping with that
kind of luxury look this does still have
some traits from the old Morano you can
see how this goes all the way to the
back similar to the older style you can
choose a two-tone roof if you want to go
with a black roof that we saw in the
Rogues and the Nissan Pathfinders but
what I love most a little more rounded
kind of sleeker looking vehicle but
they've really added a lot of tech which
we'll show you on the inside this is
where this car really shines here and
they really made a ton of changes look
at the leather seats here this one being
the Platinum you get this semi anline
diamond quilted stitching up top these
are going to be massage seats 10-way
power adjustable seats heated and air
conditioned and I love this kind of
two-tone interior that they've started
with now I want to point this out to you
guys look how much space this is freed
up in the center console here it does
have the button shifters versus your
traditional shifters I'm not a big fan
of the button I do like a traditional
shifter however this having the
electronic shifter it does free up a ton
of space here you can see we have our
auto start stop and our different Drive
modes and there is a really large center
console here to keep your
supplies little different wheel here
kind of reminds me of like a spaceship
they use this tracking ball here to
control your middle screen behind and
then we have our cruise control to the
left two 12.3 in displays as well you
have one behind the wheel and one for
your infotainment this one's going to
show all different things like here you
can see we have our driver's assistant
there's our settings our home screen our
trip computer all the other stuff you've
seen in the other Nissan the tire
pressure monitor and then our radio so
really Vivid bright screen here you can
address the brightness if it's sensitive
to your eyes I want to talk about this
screen here so this has got got a lot
going on here guys and it is really neat
first things first we got the Google
built-in voice assistant so let me just
try that
again hey Google play videos from Cars
unlocked sorry I'm not cool enough but
maybe if you guys subscribe eventually
Google will let me know but let's try
something
different hey Google navigate to Niagara
Falls
navigating to Niagara Falls look at that
very easy and it's just like your Google
Maps you can see it's on the satellite
view and you can pinch to zoom and move
this thing around and here you can see
it's going to map us to the Niagara
Falls there so really neat with the
Google Maps there's a lot of different
things you can do using the voice
commands there's also Alexa built in if
you want to use Alexa you can set up
your Amazon Alexa right there different
interior light settings so you can
change your ambient lighting look it
there's a few different colors you can
change your ambient lighting you can
change the color of the propilot assist
mode there's a lot new different things
now if you are Android auto or an Apple
carplay user it does come with wireless
Android auto and apple carplay on the
screen you can also control your heating
so it has automatic dual sink for the
heating so you just set the temperature
and it's going to automatically adjust
the fans to get to this temperature
heated steering wheel heated seats air
conditioned seats for the summertime and
you do have massage seats as well just
that added feel of luxury so really neat
screen let's hit reverse and there's our
backup camera which is going to come on
automatically when we put it in reverse
you can see the guidance lines are
moving moving and then here is our
parallel parking mode and there is our
wide screen so really neat with the
camera there now when you are in park
you can also do this 3D view of the car
so you can see all of our surroundings
here so if you're not sure if you're in
the lines or you're too close to a car
you can just park it hit the 3D View and
you can view it you don't got to get out
of the car and check your surroundings
you can do it right with the cameras
here here's another angle look at that's
our front angle so there's a lot of
different views and it's a much better
backup camera than we've seen in the
other Nissan overall this is a really
smooth screen here like I said you can
do all the different apps you also have
the Nissan connect Services if you want
to remote start the car from your phone
and do things like that you can set up
all that now let's check out the changes
under the hood we do see Nissan's VC
turbo engine here so this one is a 2 L 4
cylinder engine so they went away from
the V6 and it's going to give you about
241 horsepower and
260 pounds feet of torque now good news
is they went away from the CVT
transmission we now have Nissan's
9-speed automatic transmission again
that same transmission that's in the
Pathfinder your probably hearing me say
that a lot but comment what you guys
think of the changes to the power plan
was it good going with the 2 L with the
turbo or should I stuck with Nissan's
3.5 V6 like they had in the previous
models so now on the key it does come
with the remote starter all you got to
do push the lock button twice click and
hold the remote
start perfect on a day like today where
it's really cold you can get the car
warmed up for you so right out of the
gate the one thing I noticed is the car
is a lot quieter than the previous uh
model from the the engine noise to the
cabin noise it's super quiet let's test
out this oh the turbo actually punches
really well a lot of power coming from
the turbo I did like the power out of
the other ones but this one's got a
little bit more oh and a little bit more
torque when you take off this specific
one's going to come with the upgraded
sound system being the hot the model you
do get the Bose audio sound
[Music]
system does sound phenomenal and it's
going to come with the Serius XM or you
can stream your music but overall this
is a super comfortable drive Nissan did
very well now before I get in the back I
want to show you guys this there is a
side curtain on your rear passenger
Windows that's just going to protect
from the UV rays you know keep the car a
little cooler but let's check out the
back there's 36 in of bedroom these were
known for being very comfortable and I
have to agree they definitely didn't
fall away from the comfort back here we
have heated seats two USBS and then we
have our elbow rest and a little spot
for our phone so kept with the
traditional Morano for the back seat
really familiar back here and very
comfortable let's look at the back here
on the top dual shark fin antennas up
top there kind of giving it a sporty
kind of look really with this blue it
kind of does look specifically like a
shark fin and Penna and check out the
rear here guys Morano is stamped all
across the back now we've seen that
again coming from the Nissan Rogues and
the Pathfinders all-wheel drive Platinum
badging rear parking sensors as well
they put the license plate Down Below on
the last one the license plate was here
now it's down below your lift gate and
you do have your backup camera here now
there is a hatch release button here
this is going to be so you can Pop the
trunk however in this Platinum model it
isn't really needed because you can use
the motion activated lift gate and
that's going to Pop the trunk so as long
as the key is in your pocket there you
can pop your foot under
there and it's going to open and close
you kind of got to find that sweet spot
we'll take getting used to you have the
memory positioning for the seats you
have your wireless charging pad down
below and you have the heads up display
which is new to the Morano two things
that this car that they've added for
technology is they've added the propilot
assist and they've added the heads up
display now they didn't add the propilot
assist 2.1 it's just the older propilot
assist so it will keep you centered in
the lane and a safe distance from the
car in front of you and you do have to
keep your hands on the wheel we did a
demo of the one in the Rogue where you
could really drive like handsfree this
is still kind of that older version so
I'd like to see this in the Morano I
would feel if a platinum Rogue has it a
platinum Morano should have it as well
looks like there's three different Drive
modes we got the sport the standard and
the Eco I don't see the snow mode like
what's in the Nissan Rogues so you don't
really need those snow modes with the
the all-wheel drive it's going to drive
great one day when it snows a lot we'll
take this thing out in the snow and do a
nice little snow test but overall yeah
she goes when you step on it like you
can feel it it throws you back a little
bit a lot of front end torque now let's
check out the trunk now there's a lot of
space back here sitting in the trunk as
you can see it opens up nice and high
and then the seats are going to fold
down too you got the levers for the
seats it's a 60/40 split give those a
push down there and then you have a
pretty flat cargo space let's check out
under the cover here no spare tire we
mentioned this in our Nissan kicks video
they give you the kit now you can
purchase a spare
tire but it doesn't come with one we
have a universal garage door right in
our review mirror here so you can add up
to three garage doors so you don't have
to bring around that clunky uh gray
remote overall is this better than the
toota Crown it's very hard to say we're
going to be doing a comparison for you
guys between this and the old model but
I want you guys to comment like how does
this compare to the previous generation
definitely a lot more Tech like that's
one thing that the other Morano lacked
there wasn't a lot of new technology in
it I'm happy to see that they brought
this to the new age but it's Make It or
Break It Here for Nissan so if you guys
are a fan of the please put your
comments below I know there's a lot of
Morano owners who subscribe to my

levels so if you want to see more from

even wear a different hat we'll see you
in the next one
