The Golden State Warriors started the season strong, winning 12 of their first 15 games, but they've since slipped to the number 12 seed in the Western Conference with a 19-20 record. They now face the Minnesota Timberwolves, who sit three games above .500 and hold the number 8 spot in the West. Golden State has taken the last two matchups against Minnesota this season, including one on the road, as they meet for this series finale. TJD, excellent defense on Randall, then got the rebound. Guy Santos running the floor with Wiggins, open baseline pull, and banks it home. He'll take that, he ran the floor though. Anthony Edwards, he's a force of nature, but shooter's got quick hands. It's a three-on-one, trace on the kickout, and Guy Santos' sidestep relocate three, and he knocks it down. I guess you trade two for three. Wiggins missing there, Guy Santos flying in for that rebound, and Wiggins able to tap it. Staff playing hot potato, Schroeder an open three. Okay, that's the other thing. The second chance points, and points off turnover. Staff springs free, and Curry buries a three. And this is where Ant is special, but couldn't finish there. Yeah, couldn't pull by him. Recovery speed for Andrew Wiggins, and staff rewarding Guy Santos, reversing it up and in. And I think their legs are starting to hurt. This crowd is starting to cross their arms, and starting to murmur in here. C'mon was waiting for a shooter, and wipes out Nas Reed, and Buddy Heald hits the jumper. That's all C'mon Looney, doing his best Draymond Green impersonation. Warriors 15, Dante DiVincenzo four, Steph Curry with a three. How do you want it? Gobert was up on that screen, it did not matter, unfazed. Steph and Looney, Buddy Heald, GP2, and Moses Moody. And Looney attacking and finishing over the stifled tower. Get him deep in there. That pick and roll, Steph just occupied Gobert. Steph, step back three. He was already walking back. Anybody can get it. Oh, what a steal by Buddy Heald. Buddy. Forced turnover. Steph was about to shoot that from St. Paul, and Buddy Heald hits a three. They got Buddy Heald an open look, and Steph did that on purpose. Like, he knew he was going to pass it to Buddy Heald the whole time. And when he's setting up Steph again. They forgot about him. Steph is clear for four. Yo, that's why you move without the ball. Buddy Heald inside, couldn't get an angle. Trace is flying for rebounds. Shooter three. Okay, I told you, they are more intentional about fighting for these offensive rebounds. Nas Reed and Trace met him up top. Yeah, that's Trace on both ends of the floor, working. His first shooter. That lob and the pick and roll works perfectly. Pace and tempo benefited the Warriors to begin this game. And Wiggins flipping that in. It's another Steph screen. He's Santos taking it. Edwards on that switch. And Steph came over and got a piece. Hurry, good rotation, good steal. Got active with his hands. And then Trace running the floor. Just simple basketball playing. Nice fundamental bounce pass to the big man running the floor. Running the floor is so key. GP two, soaring to the rim. That's Steph double-teamed. They're throwing bodies at Steph. Rooney waiting for a shooter to try to set a screen. And it's good that Moses finally got a shooter's role. That is massive after the timeout. Quell that momentum. Moody had made one. He's made two. And the fact that TJD ran the floor, took defenders with him, opened up the three-point line. Can Steph get a bucket here in the second? And he flips it up and in. That was sweet. It's just the handle, juke move, and then get in front of McDaniels. And Schroeder opens the second half of the jumper. Again, they're just putting Gobert in a tough situation. Schroeder. Dennis Schroeder with all that attention on Steph. Schroeder's got 10 now. Steph Curry going all the way to the rim. He's got 16. Gobert was trying to stay with Steph. Wiggins gets the open corner three. Backdoor. They're going to overplay you. I said that in the first half. Moses Moody's first, second half playing time. Shot clock at four. Moses nowhere to go. He's got to shoot one from St. Paul off iron. And the offensive rebound, and it's done. So McDaniels makes the Warriors pay. McDaniels got a running start there, especially in that situation. Shot clock running down. You know it's going to be a long miss. Steph for three. So Steph knew, hey, McDaniels beat me to that rebound. I'm going to beat you with a three on the other end. He had Gobert shaking his head. What am I supposed to do with that? Moody on Gobert. Flipping it up and in. And Moses Moody's got eight. Just a simple ball screen. Getting him downhill. Buddy returning it to Kavon. Beautiful pass to GP2. I'm going to give Buddy Heald all the credit in the world for that one. Buddy Heald open three off iron there. And batted back out. Moses kept it alive. Steph turns and fires that three. Moody again. And that got Looney the rebound. Moses Moody got a hand on two different rebounds on that trip. Wade McDaniels at 6'9". Steph gets around him. Flips it up and in. Oh, Curry is something else. He went George Gerben on him. Shot clock at five. Wiggs has been driving relentlessly. Putting it up and in. Andrew Wiggins, have yourself a quarter. As he's got 17 now in the game. And this is with Steph sitting. Talk about the Warriors pace and tempo. And all those free throws stop the game. Buddy Heald opens the fourth with a three. Well, he got that opening. Steph set like a back screen. And two defenders ran inside, including Buddy Heald's defender. So they were a tad bit late getting back out to him. GP2 right to the rim. Gary's first game since Christmas. He's got six. Buddy Heald with the block. Okay, Buddy Heald moving his feet. Shot clock at three. Buddy on a good defender. And Conley creates a little space. Buddy Heald beat the 24 second buzzer. You had no movement. You're just gonna let Buddy Heald do his thing. And he did it. Shot clock at three. Wiggins inside. Andrew Wiggins has had the answer so many critical times so far in this game. And Wiggins elbow did not hit iron there. Trace got him an extra opportunity. Moody bottoms a three. Massive. So Moses with 11 now. Three main threes. Wiggs left wing triple. He got it. Probably at about the 330 mark is when Steph would come back in. The dunk attempt by McDaniels. And then he'll throw it off of Wiggins. Wow. He tried throwing in there. Curry tried to tie up DiVincenzo. McDaniels putting it up and out. Now that's gonna be a foul intruder. Free throw missed. Nas read the rebound and the put back. What a terrible possession for the Warriors. Buddy Heald. Nice screen by Trace. Foul. And he's foul shooting that three. So Buddy three for three from the line. Run Dante. Make him sidestep. And he bottoms a three. That's a tough one. Wiggins on McDaniels. Driving down the lane. Finding Looney. Sets the ball screen for Steph. His three. Good. Andrew Wiggins. And his drive and kick mentality. DiVincenzo another three. Got another one. Dante with six main threes. He's got 26 in the game. Wiggins driving. Denied by Nas read. Ricochet rebound. Nas read is fouled. And we've got a 67 second ball game. Steph double screen. That's read fly by. GP two into Looney. Curry corner sidestep three. Good. He just keeps moving. And they'll forget about him. Made a mistake. And Edwards. He picked up the dribble. DiVincenzo's been the hot man. And there's the quick two to McDaniels. Buddy Heald comes to get it. And now Steph. And there's a foul again. They knock down Wiggins. Now this will be free throws. He's in a good place in his life and a good place in his game. And he drops in both free throws. Massive. And he's got 24. Anthony Edwards trying to get free. Launches a three. Off iron. Big rebound. Wiggins trying to get rid of it. And it's off of Minnesota. Multiple guys after Steph. They get it into Moody. He's out of bounds. CP two had not established himself. Looking, looking, looking. DiVincenzo. They run him from the outside in. There's a layup there. You don't want Steph inbounding. You want him to get the ball back. And they go foul Gary Payton. GP two missed the second. Wiggins got the rebound. You're just killing clock. You give it to Curry. And they foul him with 6.3. He's made 28 in a row. Yeah, there's people already walking out before he shot the first one. Don't foul a three-point shooter. Edwards for three. Nine-tenths. Get it in and the game's over. The Warriors win it by one.
