Welcome back to Alternative House channel. Today we are in Switzerland and I'm gonna give you a
tour of our new tiny house. This time all house is built from metal except the interior which
allowed us to keep the weight low and keep it in the three and a half tons. It's seven and a half
meters long, 2.6 meters wide and 3.2 meters high. It's built as a loading so anytime we can remove
it from the trailer it's needed to put on the ground or just to go with trailer to pass a
control. By building it as a loading it allowed us to build it a bit wider because you can drive
the streets up to three meters when it has a loading. Let's have a look inside. Welcome inside.
As you enter you have a two meters long kitchen which has a deep sink, induction stove,
oven, kitchen hood, lots of storage, pantry, dishwasher. We had exactly the same in our first
tiny house. It's like a half unit of the regular size. We went for as big windows as possible so
we have two in a bedroom, one in the kitchen and even the entrance door is one meter 10 wide so
to have a lot of light as possible and all interior is built from pine wood. This dining
area has lots of storage below here, there and even here and it's very easily transfers into
single bed for a daytime to chill or for a guest. Just drop this down and put the extra cushion
in the middle and voila you have one more bed. As well in the kitchen we have a washer and dryer combo,
fridge and the freezer above. As well as in the living room and in the bedroom we have a fan that
blows down in summer and up in winter so when you heat it up the place, as you know, the hot air
stirs on the top so it blows all the way up and brings the warm air down. And behind this mirror
door with Ioana's painting on it we have a bathroom. The bathroom is 160 long and 90 centimeters wide.
Here we have a sink, rain shower, normal shower. All the bathroom is a shower tray so it's wet bathroom
and here we have a composting toilet and 55 liters electric water boiler. For the composting toilet
we are using charcoal filter which is amazing so it doesn't blow anymore outside, it blows just
inside in this filter and it never smells inside and outside. In previous house we had that it was
blowing up all the way on the roof and sometimes when the wind was coming from one wrong direction
we would smell a bit our toilet but now there is no smell or whatsoever so very recommended to
research about it. In front of the bathroom door we have a pellet stove which is a second heating source.
First heating source we have a heated floor in all house and when it gets around zero or below zero
Celsius then it's very nice to turn it on. It's a bit too big for such a place but I didn't find
smaller one so if you know some smaller than six kilowatts let me know. We are very happy with this
so sometimes when we leave and we come back it's chill in the house so we turn it on and in no time
all house is like a sauna because yeah it's a bit too big. If someone is wondering I bought this stove
in local hardware store then the name is Pegaso, it's Italian. What I liked about it was the size
so it's not like usually they're 60 by 60 but this one is 30 by 60 90 so it takes a bit less space.
And here we have a wardrobe, here we have wardrobe, there we have a dentist's wardrobe, we have a lot of
storage space and all wardrobes going all the way up to the ceiling and the ceiling peak is 290
centimeters. And behind these doors is a bedroom slash office space. We have enough room for the
aisle and the work desk. We went for queen size bed 160 times 2 meters and here on steps you can easily
get up and jump into the bed or you are not just getting actually from the side inside without
using the steps. The steps are as well a storage space. In the bedroom we went for two large windows
one on each side. The bed is so high because below the bed is a huge storage. Just lift it up and all
the space is just storage. And right next to the bed is a work desk. In our first tiny house we had
a loft and there was no separation. You can watch the pool right here if you haven't seen it. And we
decided to build a new house, have it separation when we work and we have same time some calls
that we can shut the door or when you just want some privacy. The insulation is 10 centimeter
mineral wool in all the house and now we are in November and at night it gets around zero Celsius
and it keeps the house warm. And if you watch this video all the way until the end thank you and
here are some insights. The cost of this tiny house was around 38 000 euros dollars. Swiss francs
they're all similar at the moment. The total weight without the furniture was 3.2 tons and
yeah after the building in the furniture it should be around three and a half tons without all the
appliances maybe 3.6 maximum which is perfect. The height of the house is 320 and with the trailer
which is 60 centimeters is 380 in total. And this winter we're gonna go again into the south. We'll
be in Spain and Portugal and if you are living or you know someone who is living alternatively
and in a yurt boat of great feel free to reach out. All the links are in the description below.
Let me know what you think about our new tiny house. I know many already have been commenting
about the missing lingerie and such layout. For us it's not an issue. We built it exactly for us
because when we need some separation one of us can be in the bedroom another one can be here
either in this dinette mode or can drop it down and chill here. So thanks for watching and see
you in the next one. Cheers!
