Simon's Top 3 All Time Favorite Drum Grooves | Drum Lesson | Thomann

Hi everybody, welcome to Tom's Drum Bash, my name is Simon. And in today's video I'd love to show you some of my all-time favorite drum grooves. Let's go! So, the first one is a pretty classic rock-pop groove, which I absolutely love to play, and the best thing about it is that it works in so many different speeds. Watch this. What I love about groove number two is how much space there is between the main bass and snare pattern that you can fill up with different snare ghost note patterns, and from time to time you can add another bass drum stroke. Plus, it works really well in a triplet-shuffle kind of feel. So this one is out of the Afro-Cuban-Latin drum groove world. I would call it a Montuno-style kind of drum groove. And what I love about it is that you can place accents on different snare ghost notes to create different melodies without changing the pattern while the bass drum stays in the Montuno bass rhythm. Alright guys, that's it for today, I hope you enjoyed it. You can find the notation of the grooves down in the video description below. Let me know your favorite grooves in a comment, subscribe to the channel, and don't forget to hit the bell so you won't miss your favorite video, and I'll see you again next week Wednesday in a new one. Take care, Simon out, bye bye.
