Highlights: Sam Kerr scores four as Sky Blue FC defeats Seattle Reign FC 5-4

A nice night in New Jersey as Sky Blue FC hosts Seattle Reign FC in a rematch after a nine-goal thriller in Seattle about a month ago. Seattle attacking from right to left, here's Nairn pushing forward, crossing central, here's a chance, it goes in! The flag is down, Johnson was in an onside position, I think she'll get credit with the goal. Ball comes in, the shot and it deflects off of the back of Johnson. Naho to take the corner for Seattle, driven to the back post and it's in! Jess Fischlach, it came off her stomach, Sheridan came with one hand, couldn't make contact with it. A beautiful ball in again from Naho on the corner kick, look how deep that Fischlach comes. To their credit they've stuck around a little bit better than I thought they might have done in this first half, having gone down 2-0. They've responded fairly positively. Utsugi out for Nairn, another ball to the back post, saved and in! It's Naho and it's three for Seattle. This just again, the goalkeeper went, she recovered her position beautifully. Stanton, out in front of Mills, some space here on this right side, five in the box, four Mills, here comes Skrowski, rose well but headed it wide and it sneaks in! It's a goal for Sam Kerr, her 12th of the season, she pulls even with Rapinoe. And this one though, the service from Mills is a gem, headed around, not dealt with by Seattle Rain and it falls to the foot of Kerr. Sky Blue eventually clears. Riedel very fortunate on that clearance. Corbeau's over the top, here's Sam Kerr, inside picket, retreating is Kopmeyer, Kerr one versus two, Sam Kerr has two! A new goal scoring leader in the NWSL, Sam Kerr! What Laura Harvey warned her team against, the counter-attack ability of Sky Blue with Kerr, sometimes one against four as we see right here. Kerr running at the back line on a hat-trick, Kerr bends it, she has a hat-trick! Unbelievable from Kerr, her second of the season. She's fast, she's strong, she's heads up, saw the position of the goalkeeper Kopmeyer, she didn't go for power, she went for placement. Great pass, here's a chance, blocked, empty net and it's put home. Off the bench, Kirsten Dahlstriem, her first of the year. Now it's crossed, still alive for Kerr, she pulls it back, another cross in the middle, Maya Hayes has scored! In Piscataway, Sky Blue does it again for her fourth goal of the night and a late Sky Blue win. It's off the crossbar, she rattles the cage, smashing it down the middle. Still alive though for Sky Blue, missed clearance, pushed aside by Kopmeyer and now a corner kick for Sky Blue. There's the corner, it's in! Maybe Maya, maybe Kerr, Kerr celebrating, it's her fourth of the night, it's a late winner for Sky Blue. A beautiful service on the corner kick, Hayes and Kerr are there, Hayes thinks she's got it, Kerr thinks she's got it, they don't care, it's in the back of the net and Sky Blue have come all the way back. July 23rd in Seattle, 5-4 Seattle over Sky Blue. August 19th in Piscataway, New Jersey, Sky Blue 5, Seattle 4.
