I'm standing beside a car you've probably never seen before. I'm standing beside the 2024
Venfast VF8 Eco. We're going to look at both the exterior and the interior of the VF8,
and the first thing you're going to notice is the striking design, and that's due in large part to
an Italian design house, Pininfarina, which has been instrumental in designing cars like Alphas,
Ferraris, and Bentleys. Let's look at the front. You have these beautiful LED light blades and
LED daytime running lights. We have your front camera right here, and notice since this is an
EV, this is really sleek because there's no engine here, so you don't need ventilation,
and you get a front trunk, which I like to call a frunk, which means you have extra storage
under the hood. The frunk pop is a little different. There's no latch. There's a little
touch sensor right here. When I swipe my finger over it, your frunk opens, and let's look at all
of this storage. You have your fuse box, an area for your batteries, and then you have these felt
line areas that you can just store things. One of the things you'll notice on the side profile is
just how clean the design is. It starts with these 19-inch wheels, and your side view mirrors
are power folding. There's a blind spot monitor. Your turn signal indicator is here, and you have
an additional camera for your 360 angle. Right away in the driver's seat, my first impression is
it's different. Notice you don't have a normal driver information center in front of me. I do
have a head-up display, and then I have this screen here that's bigger than my laptop. It's over 15
inches wide. The gear shifter buttons are so unique. I've never seen any quite like this. I
like it, and your ignition button to turn the car on and off is right here. I like this leather
wrapped steering wheel that's a little bit flattened on the bottom to give me extra leg room.
Let's explore everything on this screen because it is wild. The first thing I really love is that
you have apps set up just like on your phone, and you have your suite of connected services
like Alexa, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto. You also have games that your kids can play if you're
stopped or at carpool or whatever. Here you're going to see everything that's going on with
your vehicle. I show that we have a door open because we're filming. I'm in the seat, but I
don't have my seat belt on, and then you have your tire pressure. This is really easy to use for
someone who's not even gotten a tutorial. I wanted to jump in blind and see if I could figure it out
on my own. I like how user-friendly it is. You can control your climate here. We do have heated
seats, which I love and we need today, and you can control your heated steering wheel both here and
with a button here. I love this vegan leather wrapped steering wheel. It feels really good,
and it's a little bit flattened on the bottom to give you extra leg room, and it just helps you
when you're getting in and out of the vehicle be a little bit more comfortable. The vent placement
here is great because not only can it blow on me, but I can send extra air into the back. You have
two USB charging ports, a wireless charging pad, your two cup holders, and a bottle holder in each
door. You also have additional storage under your armrest, and you still get a traditional glove box,
which I know a lot of electric vehicles are starting to go away from, but more storage.
Your charging port is located up here on the driver's side. You remove this for a fast charger,
and on a full charge, you get 264 miles of range. In the back, the first thing I notice is I have a
ton of legroom and headroom. It feels really open back here. This seat is set for me, and I'm 5'7",
and you can see I have over a foot of legroom. These seats are also set a little bit on an
incline just to have more of a comfortable feel. Passengers have additional vents here. There's
three charging ports. There's a storage compartment in each door. There's an armrest
right here with additional cup holders that pop out, and for added comfort, these seats do recline
so you can continue to ride in style. To fold this down, you also pull this same lever,
and they go flat. Let's check out the cargo room.
In the back, we have loads of cargo room. These seats are in a 60-40 split, and they do lay flat
if you need even more room. You have one light here for illumination, a 12-volt plug,
and this is your charging kit. Let me show you what that looks like. This is a regular CCS
charger that comes with a traditional household plug, and you also have an adapter for a level
two charger if you do install one of those at your home. On your screen, you can save as many
driver profiles as you want, which will do things like remember every one of your settings,
including your seats. We also have over-the-air updates, which means you don't have to come to
the dealer to get the newest tech and information. It will download right to the car, saving you many
trips. One of the things I love about an EV is the instant horsepower and torque you get. It's
so fun to drive, and the handling on this is really good. Can I take a tight corner? Are you ready? Go.
The most impressive thing to me is that you get a 10-year unlimited mileage warranty on your battery.
