Toby Keith Talks; That's Country Bro

We had a song, I can't remember which one it was, is he 35 Mile an Hour Town or Made America, one of them, and some of the big, one of the bigger songwriters came up to Bobby Pinson who I wrote a song with and said, that ain't bro country, that's country bro. And I said, and he said, you know what, right, that's country bro. And instead of pissing in the face of whatever's going on today in the music business, because everything changes, and it's always changed, and it always comes back to country eventually, but I thought, what if we just made a laundry list of all the people now, keep in mind that a lot of these acts come in open shows for me, and when they do, we'll discuss what made us what we are. And I was surprised that a bunch of these young artists really don't know Johnny Rodriguez or they don't know Mel Street or they don't, some of them don't even know very many hygrotones, you know. So it was just kind of a, hey, get your history lesson on, here we go. That's country bro. Yeah, that's country bro. That's country bro, yeah.
