Highlights: Sam Kerr hat trick lifts Sky Blue FC to 3-2 comeback win over FC Kansas City

Two teams fighting in the middle of the pack of the NWSL meet for the second time in 2017. FC Kansas City lays it off into the corner with LaRue lurking in the middle and Sheridan punches it away into an open spot. Gibbons can't find an opening instead lays it off. Katie Bowen strikes. Trying to race after Gibbons who's got an opening and Gibbons has it deflect into the net. Skrowski with a dangerous play and boy she and Shea Groom really got into it. Take a look. Has her by the jersey and then some pushing and shoving. And the yellow card caution is justifiably issued. Skrowski with no real argument. Not of the head. Wow. So Skrowski with a yellow it appears. And the entire team is coming to her defense. FC Kansas City. Groom has been issued a red card. Wow. A multitude of opportunities now to find offensive players. Great look into the middle. It's touched over and Maya Hayes is unable to put it in. An incredible play on the backside by Moros. We said he absolutely loves the group the way they are constructed. Great ball played in and a big chance at a sliding save. Still alive. Hayes on the second effort. Another diving stop. Into the middle for Kerr. What a goal for Sam Kerr. Look at this. From the right side and then Kerr clearly on side and able to find the near post. How do you put such a great head on a ball that was crossed in from 48 yards out. Corbose chips it ahead. Foot it down. Kerr is there and she scores again. 2-2 in the 81st. When you have a sniper like Kerr she's going to find the back of the net. Look at that play throw and then Kerr is not going to miss. From 15 yards out she hooks it with the ball coming from behind her. Corbose ahead. The give and go. Kerr her third of the night. She's incredible. Sky blue with the lead. Stays on her feet. Beats the keeper again and a hat trick finished off in style for Sam Kerr. That was sensational. In fact that was Sauerbrunn. My apology. Sauerbrunn all over Kerr's back and Kerr able to poke it into the near post with a right foot. The final whistle sounds and the rest of the NWSL is on alert. Sky blue FC is for real. Sam Kerr with a three goal night and they overcome a two nothing halftime deficit to stun FC Kansas City 3-2 at home. Sam Kerr the all-time goal scoring leader in the NWSL takes over the single season lead in goals in 2017. She does it all. All hail Sam Kerr. What a second half.
