You're sleeping right now, which is so great.
You're sleeping so much for your mommy in the beginning,
and that's wonderful.
For these first three months, you really
can't spoil them in terms of sleep.
It's fine if they fall asleep anywhere,
in the stroller, in the bouncy chair,
but you wanna make sure when you put them down
for unattended sleep, when you sleep all by yourself,
you're gonna be in a crib or a bassinet,
always on your back.
It's really important that everybody watch you
if you're sleeping in something else.
So if the baby falls asleep in any other device,
the bouncy, the stroller, the swing,
you wanna make sure there's an awake adult in the room.
You also wanna make sure you use all of the straps
and buckles, because even though right now
it doesn't seem like you would break out of anything,
you wanna have good habits, and when they are old enough,
you'll be in the habit of using all of the buckles already.
Okay, and nothing in your crib.
Nothing in your crib at all.
No pillows, no blankets, no toys.
They don't need anything in the beginning.
If you're using a swaddle, you put them in swaddle
just like this, and when you notice
that they start breaking out of the swaddle,
it's time to either move to a more secure one,
like with Velcros, or to take the swaddle away,
because no loose blankets for you in the crib at all.
