back at it again everyone! I am continuing off of the video that I did about what's on my shelf and
so I used Satin enamels. by the way I have already used up a bottle! I made a big tub of the Pearl
activator with the satin enamel around the side. this video I'm going to test out a few things
one. my composition; two, another color set; three, I tinted the base color so that it doesn't have
to be white. so we're going to see how that one turns out let's paint all right so I made this
color out of white reg and this is regular white that's going to go in the center where my swipe
is going to go I made this color out of white um turquoise blue and a little bit of like a
Periwinkle color and it came out like a um like a sky blue light actually so this is going to be in
my Center I'm going to pour this around and then I actually want to pour a little bit of like spokes
off of the sides of some of them because I don't want my color to go all the way around I want my
actual color with no reaction to come off some of those sides so I might even swipe a little bit of
that paint over all right that a torch oh I love experimenting it's so much fun and you know it's
not even that like I'm creating something like novel or new like multiple people have worked with
satin enamel before but it's new to me and that is what makes not satin enamel I've used them for
like six years I've been experimenting but when I try something new like the swipe combination
just like I did with my dreamcloud series like it's so much fun to just experiment oh I love
it all right okay so I have my colors here I kind of wish I had a little bit more of this
color I might mix up just a little bit more of this color because I don't want as much
of a cell reaction around the sides all right so this is just a little bit darker but I'm
actually okay with that so I'm just going to pour this it's just going to be kind of like
a two-toned okay so that's kind of how I want it like a spokes coming out on the
sides okay all right so now I'm going to layer my color I have like so many
different whites I'm trying to keep them all separate now I'm going to layer in my colors
and if this works I'm going to do this on a I think a 3ftx 3ot
canvas or maybe even larger so okay so now I'm going to go with my Periwinkle
color again I want lots of color on these so Periwinkle here my turquoise
blue here I'm using ultramarine violet
and then dang I feel like I want my yellow right here actually a little bit and then a little bit
more at this end so I'm starting over closer here because I'm going to swipe the colors on up well
it's not quite in a star shape anymore is oh no we're not in what is it we're not in I keep I want
to say Wonderland we're not in The Wizard of Oz anymore Dorothy all right okay so now I'm going
to I had blue paint
everywhere back to being messy at least new one of my New Year's resolutions was not to be cleaner
because I would have already been failing at that lots of air bubbles popping up on these
cuz I just mixed it and then I have another idea I want to do because I think it will look like
flickering Flames coming out of it I want to do one with fire colors with a black swipe and
the white around the outside I think it'll be really cool okay so here we go coming on
in swiping on through
oh I didn't put my um oh cuz I ah ah oh and I shouldn't have done that either
because I want that to go on the side oh look at how pretty that is okay you know
what you are going to have to come off the side sorry buddy and then this is going to
go I tried to mix up more of this but I think what I might do is like spread it
around a little bit so that it gets to the edges a little bit
better okay and then I guess so I didn't scrape off my table last time either
because I felt like it it had like way too many different ingredients in it to
reuse it but I'm wondering if maybe I can and reuse it and it'll have those
same this have the same reaction I don't know we are going to find out and I will keep you
posted okay so I don't know do I do the same swipe or do I swipe back this way I think
maybe I'll swipe the same way on this one maybe out over and then I'll swipe through the satin
mixture oo I'm getting it starting it's
working I don't know why I always sing my words when I'm excited but
I do inevitably that probably drives someone crazy but okay now what do I
do with the center do I keep maybe I keep a little part of the center with actual
color I feel like maybe I want to do a swipe out there with the smaller palette knife again these
swipe videos where I'm like doing multiple things they take so long so I appreciate you
all watching through them some of you like to watch and just learn as I learn but as I
experiment I try to keep my videos around 10 to 15 minutes normally but sometimes I talk
too much and my videos end up being much longer okay going to swipe up through here
and then that will come off that side I think for this experiment I'm just going to leave it
be for now and let's see how this one comes out I love that
color okay and then wish me luck I don't know what colors I'm going to do on the big one
yet because it'll probably be for Arty gr to that is definitely not the way that glove goes
it'll probably be for Arty gr to sell so my stuff at Arty gr normally neutrals and blues
sell the best um even though those aren't always the colors that are the most fun
but and I will say some of my super colorful stuff so maybe I'll do like a rainbow type one
because sometimes if you get a buyer that has a really colorful house those colors do well
too all right here we go I can already see that cell reaction happening off that front end but
that is going to go away going to bring it back to this end over here I want the color to cover the
canvas and then I want those colors to roll over uhoh I might not get the cery I might
have put too much paint in the center on this one y'all this is so pretty though wow oh my
goodness this is really pretty I'm starting to get tiny little bits of the color popping
through it's not a ton though but that's kind of what I was going for I wanted more
than this I I had too much paint in that Center where I had it the first time I
should have stopped there but I am I'm getting the reaction starting to pop up
okay
okay I can see that my paint is almost like it's not breaking necessarily but if
you see it happening it's where like little it gets a little bit grainy so I'm actually
going to drag actually I think I want to do it with
this going to drag down through it a little
bit and I wanted that blue line to carry up through
there I feel like maybe I should just take this entire section right here
come off and then do I have any more of
this I didn't like what I did with my
finger and I have enough paint that I think I can tilt this
and it gives it a little bit more of a break and then I can bring my finger back through
here so I don't want to mess up these cells too much because I really really like this
painting but I do want to blend that back in together okay okay bring it back
okay I'm getting the the Cloudy cells kind of eating up the outside the Pearl
cells super happy with it I actually like the variation in colors that's there from
mixing those two base coats now again I will say I used too much paint in
the center I wanted a little bit more of a cell reaction on the outside um but live and
learn and this will continue to develop so I'm going to leave it be for now I'll show
you okay here we go you can see them starting to pop up on the sides where there wasn't any
you can see the it for the most part stayed as the color here you can see it's starting to
pop up I think it's so cool and then see it's almost the same color so I think next time I
am going to try the fire color one but I think the next time I will use a different color for
the base than the cells popping through all right this what is so cool look at all the
swipes super cool I torched a little too hard there little too close to the Sun on that one
and I got some extra cells but I'm okay with it it's really cool all right I'll show you how it
dries I am really happy with this one so I had that little part at the bottom and
that's okay that I had to do that I did like it before that part but the I think I either
torched too much or stretched um those paints out right after I torched and I just needed
to correct that little section but look at the little Pearl cells and it worked with
the different color now I have multiple colors in this base and at first I was worried about
that but I actually really like that but you can see the little pearls and no break
it comes out just really really beautiful and I love the effect of kind of the softness of the
outside with the big bold swipes in the center so super happy with this one I think I will probably
do one more in fire colors look at those cells in that swipe I'm telling you I still love the
effects of the swipe and then I may move on to a big one um still using up the things off my
shelf super excited about this. all right thank you everyone for watching! happy painting! bye!
