Collet Conversion; Prong Setting to Bar Setting ¦ Jewellery Making Tutorial ¦ GWS

The centre stone in this five stone ring had suffered some trauma. It was very exposed in its previous setting and had acquired some chips and scratches so we were asked to advise a solution to the problem.

The stone was previously set into an oval setting but, the stone isn't perfectly oval. We suggested completely changing the style to match the other stones, the overall style of the ring and offer more protection for the stone.

I'm pleased with how it came out and I was told that the ring was very well-received by the client. I know this video is a little shorter than usual but I hope there was something in there for you, wherever you're watching from and whatever you're looking for.
