Yeah, he is. He's in a good mood right now.
And certainly the Warrior fans hoping that lasts for the next 48 minutes.
You know, it's interesting, Doris, with these two teams, obviously, it's a great festive atmosphere.
But this is an important game for both these teams. They've been on sort of a rollercoaster lately.
Both teams struggling for consistency for the Lakers when they get their defense right.
Their offense suffers for the Golden State Warriors.
The problem, Richard, has been their end game.
They've been in the vast majority of their games.
It's finishing games and clutch time that's been an issue.
And that's been so surprising, the Golden State Warriors tumbling with Steph Curry.
But they've got a new group of guys. They're trying to figure out how to finish.
When they had the same group, it was pretty easy.
The search for the elusive consistency that every NBA team fights for.
And there's Christie again in the starting lineup last several games.
They played well with him there.
Wiggins guarding LeBron James.
Christie coming off a career-high scoring in their last game.
That's James' first shot.
This is Schroeder to the rebound.
Dennis Schroeder still trying to fit in with his new team.
He's used to that. He's bounced around the NBA.
And Steve Kerr loves what he has so far.
The numbers might not show it yet.
Oh, beautiful pass. Seen that before. Green to Curry.
Yeah, and one thing for a young player like that, you can't point-switch.
You've got to stay on Steph's body.
He gets layups just because they're so worried about the three.
James back in. James was questionable.
He's been questionable a lot of nights because of that putt.
But ready to play and gets his first pocket.
Well, isolated, empty side of the floor.
You get him to the mid-post, he's going to beat most guys one-on-one.
Schroeder on the drive. Leibs guarding him.
Christie gets up on Curry.
Christie's been a good three and deep player.
As Wiggins stepped back three-pointer.
Shot won't go. Reeves goes for the rebound.
Lakers 7-9 on the road this season.
Good move from Reeves. Beautiful pass.
James gets inside and scores.
Beautiful assist from Reeves.
He's averaging career-high in scoring and assists.
Draymond Green misses and Hachimoro the rebound.
James coming off yet another triple-double.
They lost to the Pistons on Monday.
That was his eighth triple-double of the season.
He's going to turn 40 on Monday.
Anthony Davis defended well.
Schroeder comes away.
Guys, how does Schroeder fit in here?
Well, let me say after losing De'Anthony Mountain,
but Schroeder is an elite defender.
Allows Steph to get off the ball.
The Gold State Warriors have always had players like that.
Going back to Jarrett Jack when Steph first broke the three-point record.
Schroeder has struggled with his shot, but gets a nice bounce.
In the first three games, he was just one for 11 from three-point range.
Unable to connect on that one.
Davis looks in games with Wiggins.
Wiggins has had an excellent year so far for the Warriors.
Davis goes right. Oh! Blocked shot!
What a beauty!
As Davis goes right there, Jackson Davis gets it.
Schroeder can't get it to go, but a whistle and a foul.
Come on, Mike!
How about back-to-back possessions,
where Anthony Davis, who's having one heck of a year,
isolated on the post.
Both times, Trace Jackson Davis makes him try to score over the top.
Uses the correct hand to block that shot.
Boy, you get that kind of defense against Anthony Davis.
Tonight, you are thrilled.
It was not a foul there, just not a foul.
On the baseline, Curry comes off the screen.
Goes inside, kicks it out. Schroeder.
Chuck a two, Schroeder makes his move.
Jackson Davis, jumper.
James gets a running start.
James wets the pass to the corner.
Hatchimore, nice fake to get rid of Draymond Green.
And Jackson Davis got a piece of another one.
He's coming off a couple of excellent games.
Back at the starting center.
Kicks it out, wide open is Draymond Green.
He's actually shot well from three-point range last year and this year,
but 0-2 to start here tonight.
The issue teams are still willing to give it to him.
They short-closed on his first one.
There was nobody in a zip code on the second one.
Christie can't get the three. Green the rebound.
Warriors seven and six here on their own floor.
They play very well on the road.
It's a big road win.
And Schroeder nails another.
No struggle the first three games from downtown.
He's in his first two here tonight.
And it's so difficult to get traded mid-season.
You're trying to get yourself settled.
You're trying to learn a new offense.
There's so many things.
So, I'm not surprised that he struggled in his first few games.
But I do believe he's going to be an important part to what they're doing
moving forward.
Well, first career, he's been a good solid three-point shooter.
Pass inside, deflected and stolen by Reeves.
Nice defensive play.
Reeves trying to get to Hatchimore.
Hooked away, but a foul is going to be called on Schroeder.
Oh, that's strange.
Yo, these refs are crazy.
That's a fucked up call.
Inside out for the Lakers, Steve Kerr.
Checking out the video screen.
Oh, he hauled him back.
Not a lot there.
And it didn't need to happen because there was no way he was going to catch the pass.
Davis against Jackson Davis.
James kicks it out.
Hatchimore.
Oh, that's defense.
Draymond Green, clinic defense right there.
And that's the thing.
When you're trying to shoot more threes, sometimes they're contested threes.
Rui could have easily pumped it, Draymond, and got a much better opportunity in that
thing for himself or others.
Last five games, he's two for 11.
That, to me, is a check swing in the batter's box.
I'm not sure when that guy closed it.
I want this one.
Jackson Davis to Wiggins.
Wiggins looking to post up Christie.
Gets inside between two defenders and sneaks it in.
We know Andrew Wiggins going back to 2022 when they won that championship.
He is looking closer to that player that made his first all-star game than he was the next two seasons.
Davis trying to keep it alive off the Reeves' miss.
But the Warriors come away and scored eight straight points here.
Schroeder to Green again.
Nobody near him.
This time, another miss.
0-3 to start for Draymond Green.
37% from three-point range on the year.
James, a spin and a flush.
I think Anthony Davis just rolled his ankle.
Let's see if the Lakers are trying to get a sob up.
He's going to push through it.
He's grimacing down the other end.
Curry gets the hand off.
Curry gets inside.
Flips it up with the right hand.
Christie tips it beautifully.
James kicks it out.
Hachimora, wide open.
It's a three.
First bucket for Hachimora.
And the first bucket besides LeBron James.
I think he's got to be shot ready, despite the struggles.
