Hamilton and Russell Crash on Opening Lap | 2023 Qatar Grand Prix

And the Qatar Grand Prix is go! Good reaction time for Lewis Hamilton. George Russell putting the pressure on Max Verstappen. Hamilton got the launch off the line, goes around the outside, he's hit his teammate! Lewis Hamilton turns into George Russell and the Mercedes collide at the first turn! Three into one, did not go! Come on! Guys, come on! Two races in a row! No, it's not, if you're OK, mate. Yeah, I'm taken out by my own teammate. Russell cannot disappear there from when he hits the brakes and Hamilton's coming in from behind him, going in deeper there on the brakes. He just didn't leave enough margin. You can see that George has Max on his inside. He can't suddenly slow the car down more. Already he's on a little bit less grip on that medium tyre and Lewis had all that space to the outside.
