Hello everyone, welcome. Today I'm going to be talking about five drugstore slash affordable
makeup products that I tried recently that have simply blown me away. They are so good.
First up is the NYX Face Glue Gripping Primer. I used this for the first time in my October
Testing Hot New Makeup video and I was really, really impressed. I own a lot of primers,
gripping primers, oil control primers, smoothing primers, and this is the one that I have found
myself reaching for nearly every single day since I used it in that Testing Hot New Makeup video.
I've been wearing it under my Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. I've been wearing it under my
Guerlain Terracotta Foundation. Any of the foundations that I love the lighter coverage
of and the finish of, however they don't seem to last very long on my oily skin,
this product has sort of changed the game. It has made all of those foundations wear a lot longer
on my skin. I also don't get any pilling when I use this. The only thing I don't love about it
is honestly the packaging. I see where they were going with it, Elmer's Glue taking you back to
your days of elementary school. As you all know, I love a good affordable drugstore makeup product,
but I would prefer it to be in a little bit more upscale packaging. I know logically that
packaging shouldn't really matter, but as someone who loves the process, enjoys the process of
applying makeup, there is something to be said for the experience of using a product that looks
like it is designer or high-end or luxury, even if it's not. And there are plenty of drugstore
products out there that do look like they could be high-end products. This is just not one of them,
unfortunately. That said, the product inside is excellent and I highly, highly recommend it.
Next up are the new Blush Affair Blush Duos from Catrice. I picked up two shades from Amazon,
Pleasing Pink and Peach Passion. You guys, these are $7 and they are such a good alternative
to the Patrick Ta Cream and Powder Blush Duos. Being that no brick-and-mortar store around me
carries the Catrice line, I have yet to see all of the shades in person. I just sort of blindly
picked these two shades because if you know me at all, you know I love a bright pink blush,
and then some days I love a peachy blush. Today I went with a more overall peachy look, so that's
why I chose Peach Passion. The pigmentation is great, the blendability is great. I feel like
they wear about the same length of time as the Patrick Ta. I always use a primer under my makeup,
set with a setting spray, and I work from home, so I can't actually say with certainty if they
would last from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., but I have worn them from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and they still look
pretty darn good, even on someone like me with oily skin that has a tendency to just
eat up pigment. So yeah, I've been really impressed with these. I do plan to buy
at least one or two more shades. What else can I say? They're just really, really good. Something
else that's really, really good is the new E.L.F. Camo Liquid Contour. I think we're all familiar
with the E.L.F. Camo Blushes that are so great and such an awesome alternative to the Rare Beauty
Liquid Blushes. Well, this contour and bronzer is an excellent alternative to the Say Beauty
Dew Bronze. I've been using this for a couple of weeks now, pretty regularly,
and then when I got this one, I stopped using this one because honestly, it's just as good.
The pigmentation? Amazing. Blendability? Amazing. Price point? Amazing. I guess I could say that
about all the products in this video. Honestly, if you have had the Say Liquid Contour on your
wishlist, don't bother. Get this one instead. I promise you will be just as happy with it.
If you've been wondering what I have on my eyes, it is the next drugstore slash affordable product
that blew me away, which is the Shade Thrower Eyeshadow Palette from Morphe. I use the word
drugstore in the title. At least I think I'm going to be using the word drugstore in the title
because honestly, that is what the YouTube algorithm prefers. I know that Morphe isn't
really a drugstore brand, meaning you can't go to your local CVS or Walgreens or Rite Aid to find it,
but it is drugstore priced. That's why I include it in a video like this where I'm talking about
drugstore slash affordable products because Morphe is an extremely affordable brand.
Morphe has really been killing it with their eyeshadows this year. Their eyeshadow
launches. I have never been sponsored by Morphe. I am not even on their PR list. I buy these with
my own money. I adore this palette. This might be my favorite favorite of all of the Morphe palettes
I've tried this year. You can do any type of look with this. A natural daytime look, a going out
look, a holiday party look. Everything you need is right here. The pigmentation is excellent.
The blendability is excellent. The shimmers are one swipe, full coverage, sparkly, beautiful,
very minimal fallout. I also recently purchased the new ColourPop After Hours palette because it
so so stunning, but I have to tell you the Morphe is better. I love a lot of ColourPop shadows.
One of my favorite palettes of all time is from ColourPop, the Of Quartz palette, but this one
kind of disappointed me, especially the shimmers and then these two chunky glitters. They're just
not good. They sort of remind me of Halloween makeup kits with a lot of glitter fallout.
They're just very unimpressive. Overall, the palette was very unimpressive, especially for
how gorgeous it looks, so I would pass on this one and get this one. I promise you, you won't be
disappointed. I have used this several times already and I have been so happy with every
look I have attempted. Now, I don't know if this is limited edition or not. I hope it's not,
but just in case it is, I would pick one up ASAP. And finally, let's talk about lips.
About a week or two ago, I posted a YouTube short swatching all of the, I thought, new Essence
Slimstick six-hour long-lasting lipsticks. I thought they were new because I had just received
them in a PR package, and then when I posted that video, I was quickly informed that they
have been out for a couple of months. Regardless, they're new to me and they're still relatively
new, so I had to include them in this video because ever since I did that video, I have
been wearing them more and more, especially this nude shade. It's called Over the Nude.
It is extremely long-wearing. It is a six-hour wear, not like a 10 or 12-hour wearing lipstick.
It doesn't claim to be that, but it does wear much longer than a lot of other liquid lipsticks
I have tried while remaining comfortable on my lips. Of course, your lips do have to be in good
condition to wear any sort of matte long-wearing liquid lipstick. You have to be taking care of
your lips, especially as we go into fall and winter, just like you take care of the skin on
your face or on your body. Do not neglect your lips. Otherwise, wearing lipsticks like this
is going to be a disaster. I highly recommend exfoliating your lips, moisturizing your lips
before applying one of these, and then I think you will be very, very happy, not only with the
color and the comfort, but the shade range is really, really nice. I will link my YouTube shorts
video that I put up in case you haven't seen it yet in the description box. I will also have links
to all of the other products that I've shown you today. Most of you know that I am not usually a
matte lipstick wearer. I will wear a matte underneath something else, like a lip oil
or a gloss, which is what I've done today. I am wearing this ColourPop gloss in...I
didn't bring my glasses in, so I will have the color listed in the description box. So that is
it. Five new drugstore-slash-affordable makeup products that I am just crazy about. They honestly
blew me away. There are so many...I say this all the time, but I'm going to say it again. There are so
many incredible products at the drugstore. Yes, I buy a lot of mid-end and high-end products because
that's my job, and in some cases I do like, as I said earlier, the experience of putting on
something that's really luxurious feeling or that's in luxurious packaging. I do videos for
everybody. No matter what you prefer or what your budget is, you're always going to find some content
on my channel that is going to hopefully help you out, whether it's a makeup tutorial or talking
about products. And I don't just do these drugstore videos so that I can have drugstore videos on my
channel. I do them because I actually really, really like so many drugstore products just as
much as my more expensive ones. That said, I hope you all enjoyed this video. If you did,
please give it a thumbs up, share it with a friend. If you are not already subscribed to
my channel, I hope that you will consider doing so. All you have to do is just hit that subscribe
