The Farmer and His Sons

An old farmer, worried that his sons would quarrel over his inheritance, called them together and said, “I leave you a treasure hidden in the fields. Whoever finds it may keep it.”

The sons searched the fields diligently but found nothing. However, in the process of digging, planting, and working the land, the fields became fertile and fruitful.

After the harvest, the farmer said, “See? The real treasure was your hard work all along.”

Moral: True wealth comes from effort and diligence, not from shortcuts or hidden treasures.
