What's up guys, we're here in New York at Ping Pod.
It's TTV team versus Ping Pod.
It's a massive match up. We're looking forward to this.
Is your team ready?
Always ready.
Let's do this.
Come on guys, let's go.
We're here for the match.
Another Ping Pod taking them on today.
So sick.
Hey.
Very eco-friendly here at Ping Pod.
Founders looking great.
He's found his mojo in the Big Apple.
Look at that.
At least with the customised shoes, what have you done?
They've turned pink somehow.
Look at that.
I wonder what's happened there.
It actually looks quite cool.
Looking forward to the big game?
Yeah.
School prediction, who do you think is going to win?
TTV?
Them.
Here with Carol, our press manager.
Now how far and wide are we going to spread the news once Ping Pod beats Table Tennis Daily?
Interplanetary.
It must be known around the galaxy.
Come on.
Clump it.
Just like the chairman would.
Hey Fander, where's my invite to New York?
I'm always ready to play.
Even in New York, there's still one thing we didn't forget.
The most important TV member.
The donkey.
Who's going to get the first donkey of the day?
Prediction for later, who's going to win the big match?
Okay, so I have my money on Yashiris.
She's really good.
I think you guys are going to have a very hard time.
So ready.
Chill, relax.
It looks nice to that.
Guys, we've got Gaffer on the line.
There he is.
Before our match.
It's fantastic to see you guys out there.
How's preparation going before this big match?
Yeah, we're training hard.
I was just letting the beast do a few slings.
Fantastic.
Well guys, you've got to remember, you're the first TV team players to represent us overseas.
It's a big moment at Legacy Boys.
Well do you proud, Gaffer?
100%.
Remember, it's not just for me, for the chairman, for captain, for our kid.
Remember, all the guys.
Show everyone in the US the pride and passion.
What it means to play for TTT.
Alright?
I'm pumped, man.
Yeah, let's get a TTT on three.
One, two, three.
TTT.
Cheers, Gaffer.
That's fashion, lads.
I'm pumped for this.
I love that donkey.
Is there only one?
There is.
That is the one and only.
Who do you think is going to get the donkey first?
The founder.
The first donkey of the day.
I like it.
It makes the pressure.
Ready, mate?
Yeah, we're going to sling in the beast first in the ping-pong.
It's a great environment.
We're here and we're ready to go.
Big match up.
You've got Matilda, their first game on.
Yeah, it's a big first match.
It's a good opener to the match.
It's going to be a big match.
Two lefties.
Yeah, it's the left-handers.
Here we go, people.
TTT team versus ping-pong.
Will TTT win its first clash overseas?
The TTT team consists of Frog at one, Beast at two, and myself at three.
Leading ping-pong's female all-stars is Legend of the Game,
former world number 20 Matilda Ekholm,
who's been there, done it, and got the T-shirt.
Coming in at number two is Aga Milusak,
who is a former pro who represented the Polish senior women's team.
And number three for ping-pong,
So the fixtures are as follows.
It's the first team to win four matches.
If the matches go to 3-3, then it'll go to a one-set showdown for the decider.
So, first match on, it's a big one.
We've got the Beast versus Matilda Ekholm.
Let's get into it.
So here we go, it's the clash of the lefties.
Oh, nice flying from the Beast there.
That's laced.
Five-all.
Hey, nice.
Beast looking calm and collected here.
Into the body.
Matilda mixing it up.
Come on, Matty, come on.
The Americans are bringing the noise.
Heavy serve.
Beast set point.
And Beast takes the first.
One-nil.
Alright, David, game one goes to the Beast.
How do you feel about Matilda's chances?
I mean, I'm not worried at all.
She's going to figure Beast out.
She just needs to get the feel for it.
She's a little rusty.
She'll shake it off.
We'll be fine.
I feel very good about her chances.
She's just got to hit her shots.
That's it.
She got this.
That's a nice counter.
Yeah!
It's a rubbery.
The back foot here.
Beast gets his pocket.
Matilda, two set points.
Matilda again, set point.
Beast dumps in the net.
One-all.
When your slings don't work like they used to before.
So here we are then, set three.
Matilda pinning the Beast's forehand.
Oh, he's on the hotline and takes it.
Beast, six-one.
Lovely meal deal there.
Somebody getting the bagel.
Come on, Beast.
Ooh!
Mad side spin.
Set point, Beast.
And takes it, two-one.
I think because it's the first match, you know, everyone's getting their feel.
And obviously the number one from Kingpod is down at the minute,
so the crowd obviously wanted to come back.
It's tense.
Oh, they're timing on that backhand.
Textbook.
And Beast follows up with a backhand.
Oh, Matilda with the heavy reverse.
Gets a set point.
And again on that backhand.
We're going to the fifth, people.
From way behind, Matilda makes a comeback.
Second time she did it, she's going to take this game, though.
So she stopped going for the big shots.
So she slowed it down a little bit, went more for control.
And by doing so, she was able to control the points and make that big comeback.
I have full faith, full confidence, Matilda's going to pull it out.
Fifth and final set.
So, fifth set.
Finds a line early doors.
So Beast gets ahead early in this fifth.
It's seven-three.
Chop block misses.
Beast beats his trolls.
Can I get a time-out?
Tactical time-out.
He's nervous.
She's after him. She's almost there.
Come on. Time in.
So Beast, eight-five.
Ratty could be right here.
Beast looks nervous.
Big forehand.
Tensions are high.
This is massive. Nine-all.
Now Matilda with the match point.
This is madness.
We're juicing the fifth.
Matilda gets another match point.
Takes it.
What a match.
Matilda puts Ping Pong into a one-nil lead.
That was an incredible finish.
What a game.
Good game.
His serve is so good.
So tough.
That's the Beast serve.
She started to really find her level at the end of the match.
That's what happens at the top level.
In the big point, she was so good.
Yeah, it was a good match.
It's amazing to see this level of play.
It's just, it's mind-blowing.
If you ever heard of Ping Pong pressure, that is next level.
I knew when she's going to find her A game,
it's going to be very tough for anybody to beat her.
Quite the performance, the last points.
I don't know really where that came from.
So there we go on screen.
Matilda Ekholm takes out the Beast
in an almighty fifth set match-up.
Next on the pitch, we've got the Frog versus Agger.
We're up against a strong team
and we knew that from the start.
Everyone's having a good time.
You know, that's what it's all about, isn't it?
But in this game now,
Frog is going to jump into this Ping Pong court
and make a splash.
So the Frog took on Agger in the second match,
who has long pimples on the backhand side.
And the Frog started with this.
Oh, quality top-to-top exchange there.
Frog almost there with another dongy.
So Agger then has got herself a set point.
And takes it, 1-0.
The Frog splashed down the line.
The Frog splashed just missing.
What happened there is,
I went for the backhand
and he went into someone else's corner.
Agger will win this,
so I hope I'm not going to get too nervous.
The Frog is up against it here.
We could quickly be 2-0 down against Ping Pong.
The Frog needs to find something.
Oh!
Let's go, come on.
This Ping Pong crowd are strong.
They're coming at us.
So Tom's right back in this,
leads 2-1.
And sends a fade, early doors.
Oh, that's clever, good mix-up there.
And gets a match point.
Agger misses.
Strong fight from the Frog.
Levels the score line.
It's 2-1, Ping Pong won.
We needed that win as well,
because going 2-0 down.
2-0 down would have been horrible,
especially with the founder going on.
You know what he's like under pressure.
You never know.
Yeah, that's like a chalk ice
getting put under a hairdryer.
You know the inevitable is going to happen.
I'm a bit nervous of
how the founder's going to play it.
He's gone for the nervous toilet break as well.
We're coming back, for sure.
Yesiris is playing now,
so can't go anywhere but up.
Any strategies, tactics coming into this one?
I'm going to try all my different serves
to find what's the one he doesn't like,
and then go with that one.
What's happening people?
It's Joe, the TTD commentator.
It's a big one up next.
The founder finally stepping up in the Big Apple.
But he's got a face.
The four times Dominican Republic champion,
Yesiris.
It ain't going to be easy.
Damn with the spin up.
It's so greasy.
That was a classic founder dribble right there.
Well read.
Yesiris hunting that half on serve.
She is sharp.
This time Dan gets in first.
It's key.
And the fade cross court
gets him to set point.
Founder with a big backhand.
I wonder where he's been practising that.
Half backhand punch is solid.
You've got to be careful with this.
You need to make sure you vary it,
like mix up the spins, the placement.
I am on Team Pinkpot,
so I just have a little proposition for you.
Now that's a solid $10, Coach David.
Good boys, let's go.
Come on, come on.
Oh, the founder.
He's come all the way to the Big Apple
and brought his backhand.
Dan goes for the taxi,
but Yesiris reads it.
How's he got that back?
Yesiris lets him off.
The founder with the dribble, set point.
Oh, another big backhand from the founder.
He goes into a 2-0 lead.
Both players are just so focused
and at the moment,
Dan's spin is just getting on top,
but I think Yesiris has got a lot of fight in her.
I think she won't give up easily at all,
so we'll see.
You need to see that next three games are coming.
Agathe's full of confidence then.
Yassine needs to find something.
She does just that.
Look at these forehands coming out of the gate.
This is the best I've ever seen Founder play.
This is something special.
Yes, he was set point.
Dan overcooks the backhand.
Yassine takes the third set.
It's 2-1.
Could the comeback be on?
So we're in the fourth here.
Oh, founder with a tricky net save.
Someone put him in goal.
Oh, that's a viral shot.
Who needs a forehand?
That's the Francisca backhand.
Founder slings it in the long serve.
Gets four match points.
Yesiris, that is an absolute worldie.
Someone hit the replay button.
Founders travelled round the globe.
Yassiris is sent around the net.
Someone call NYPD.
So Founder, three match points.
Oh, the backhand fade to win it.
Dan takes it, 3-1.
TTE Team 2, Ping-Pong 1.
Come on, 2-1 up.
It wasn't easy out there.
Strong.
I thought we had a deal.
There was no agreement.
Where did my $10 go?
It's up to the players, not me.
Ping-Pong is in dire straits.
We're down one game to two.
What's the play here?
So this is a simple plan.
Now Matilda is winning.
Next is my game, which I am winning.
And then Yassiris is coming.
Simple game.
So before we get cracking with match four,
we'd like to give a big shout-out to our partners,
Betterplay.ai.
Their website allows you to quickly upload
your full-length table tennis match
and their AI software will highlight it automatically,
leaving you with just the points played.
For example, the opening match between Beast and Matilda
was cut down from 33 minutes to just 11 minutes.
It really is a game-changer for your match analysis.
Be sure to check it out in the links below.
So here we go, the number ones clash.
Big backhand.
It's great to see Tom developing this clump.
If you see, Tom, like a year ago,
how much the clump has come up.
Really good.
Nice combo.
So the frog lead 9-3.
It moves into the set point.
Scoops it in.
It's 1-0.
I think Beast has come up with a new name for a shot I do.
You know when it's not really a clump,
but it's like the ball sort of pops up a little bit
and I do that like fade sort of down the line one.
What was it called, Beast, again?
The fade clump.
Yeah, it's sort of like...
The flump.
Might have to bring that down.
The flump.
I like it.
So, second set here.
Oh, that's wild.
Class from Matty.
Tricky open up.
Frog's winding around like the chairman.
8-6 frog.
Nice.
Frog clips the net.
So he moves into a 2-0 lead.
You have to play better like this.
It's comeback time.
Come to some respect.
And Matilda fires back.
Wins a set from the reverse serve.
It's 2-1.
Important was that she regrouped at the end of the game.
You can clearly see she's got a strategy.
So the ping-pong team are right back in this.
Yeah, nice backhand and forehand exchange there.
Frog with the chop.
Pick that one out.
Matilda picks the gap.
So frog here, 9-8.
It's on the hold.
And finds the angle.
Match point.
If it's above the net clump.
Let's go.
Match point, come on.
Solid spinning from the frog there.
Strong performance.
Takes the game 3-1.
And puts T2D in a 3-1 lead over ping-pong.
Come on Dan.
Froggy.
Good, nice.
Happy to put the team 3-1 up there.
Obviously it was always going to be tough against Matilda.
And now we've got Dan coming in against Agger.
It's going to be an interesting game with the long pips.
See how the founder gets on.
He's not always a fan of ping-pong.
Yes guys, the founder's back in against Agger.
She's got long pips on the backhand.
And a nuclear weapon for a forehand.
This ain't going to be easy.
The first three sets were tight.
Here's the highlights.
Give us your experience so far.
Wow, like one better match after the other.
Agger's playing like a really good character.
So here we go.
Founder is up against it as he's 2-1 down in sets.
Down with the spin up.
The pips are loaded.
Oh, flick of the net.
Oh, big forehand.
Oh, she's clumped it.
Chairman would be proud.
Controlling the pips.
Flick of the net.
Down with the big spinny forehand.
He's grovelling.
Good combo.
Great placement from Dan.
He's lucky that didn't go on.
It would have been donkey of the day.
So founder, set point.
Flick of the net.
Agger's just brutal.
Safe set point there.
Nobody home.
Dan's got a safe match point.
Oh, spins up to the forehand.
Agger just redirects it.
So now it's Agger with the match point.
Massive forehand.
She's read the founder like a book.
This is getting tense.
TTV Team 3, PingPod 2.
They're back in this.
Yes.
That last point was unreal.
Yeah.
And the last one before that as well, where I was like, go to the point.
She was getting used to it.
She was there for the block as well.
Yeah, no, that's what I thought.
She was there for the block.
Yeah, yeah.
3-2.
So it's all down to the beast to get us this win.
In the first two sets, he went beast mode.
Oh, nice shot.
Oh, great.
So Ysiris here needs the win to keep PingPod in this
and starts out strong with the backhand topspin.
That's it.
Ysiris is fighting, picks up the half-long serve and set point
and takes it outright with the serve.
It's 2-1.
Ysiris got one game already.
You can get one, you can get three.
This one's going to be a tough one, but we believe until it's over.
So if Ysiris gets this win, we go to a one-set showdown
and starts out strong there with the forehand flick.
Oh, yeah, nice passing shot.
Finds the angle.
Nasty serve.
So, beast 6-3.
Yeah, good hold there from Ysiris.
But beast here, 9-7.
That's laced.
Match and championship point.
And he takes it.
TTT team defeat PingPod 4-2.
Massive shout-out to PingPod for hosting us.
What a win, what a battle.
All in all, it was an amazing match.
First match, 12-10 in the fifth for Matilda
with a huge comeback from 8-3 down.
That really set the tone for a super, super competitive matchup.
I thought this was going to be more friendly,
but it actually turned out to be very intense.
We were fighting.
They were a little bit better than us.
I think we did a good match.
Most of all, I think there were some beautiful rallies
and the people seemed to have enjoyed it a lot.
We got the win, 4-2 against PingPod, our first international win.
If anyone's ever in New York, check out PingPod.
It's phenomenal.

Confidenty, where you are.
