So what's going on gas gang? Today we're back with a BMW versus Audi grudge match between two killer but very different builds. After last week's battle between the same twin-turbo R8 and the world's fastest X3M didn't go to plan for the BMW boys the world's fastest 1-series pulled up to challenge the R8 instead. Today the BMW boys have come back to try and avenge last week's defeat and in partnership with RaceLogic we're going to be carrying out two sets of races. First up today it's a quarter mile roll race, next up it's a drag race to the quarter mile. All races are best of three and the V-Box Performance Box Touch will be recording data such as 0-60s, quarter mile times and more to let you know how these savages perform. Let's get over and meet the cars and their owners. So first up welcoming back Alex to the battles in his rapid 1150 brake horsepower 5.2 litre V10 twin-turbo powered Audi R8 V10 plus built by QS Tuning and tuned by Mike at SRD Tuning. And today's challenger stepping up to avenge the BMW X3M welcoming Tom back to the battles in his bonkers xDrive converted 1200 brake horsepower 3 litre straight-six single turbo B58 powered BMW M140i built by Tom himself at Tom Wrigley Performance and tuned by Mike Ball on MHD and currently holds the title of the world's fastest BMW M140i. Mods coming up. So first up today is to roll races but before we get cracking let's get a couple of sound checks. Okay so let me know who won the sound check the BMW six pot single turbo or the Audi's V10 twin turbo and let's race. So race number two Tom stepped up for the BMW boys trying to uh gonna beat me now isn't it keep it up for the BMW boys but we're holding tight for the Audi boys in the R8 over here so we're going to see what we can do that M140i is serious it's a stripped out race car basically um we'll see how we go we'll see how we go I think the roll races again will probably happen but the quarter so we're back about to step in for the BMW boys our fallen soldier Marek about to step in last minute try and take down Alex in the R8 but we've got our big job on here I think to be honest um but let's see one series versus R8 twin turbo and he has turned that thing up I'm gonna say R8 got that R8 was a car or two ahead I don't know what happened there with a start I'm gonna say R8 got that by maybe a car or two that M140i is moving finish line line who won that and it seems like Alex might just have let go of his rolling launch a tad early there but he manages to hold the lead all the way to the finish line let's line them back Alex's reactions were a little bit slower that time I have no clue but I'm gonna say the M140i cleanly finish line finish line who won that the little one series got him got it intimidated come on mate don't get too intimidated by one series that's serious and that time Tom was ready for Alex and the tables turn with the M140i pulling out front and taking the win by around three car lengths mad let's line them back up for a decider serious serious but we're way off pace we're way off maybe a second slower 100 200 we were in the previous race that's what I'm talking about but I'm gonna say from where I was standing that looked like the 140 took it that looked like the 140 took it let's find out finish line finish line who won that that was one car one series done it that is insane if we were running right we'd be faster wait this thing's getting so hot it's like nearly look how slow it is when I'm just 200 now yeah do I want to plug in and see the air temps it's just it's just it's just getting so hot all right I haven't got a solution no he beat me by like half a car length you know it's annoying if it was cool yeah then we'd have got a gap this window gearbox is slipping again this is it jumped off a gear did it yeah yeah and in a crazy decider the m140i just manages to pull past the ra and takes the win by a car's length mad however both lads are having issues with their cars due to their cars being hot so we've allowed a small cool down period and by request are going to let them run a bonus race let's go I'm maybe going to be happy with this decision I'm very unhappy that looked I look real close that was a sick race there I'm gonna say the 140 took it but just I'm gonna say 140 that 140 is looking strong finish line finish line who won that and by how much oh man now we know I think that was a photo finish that yeah good race that made you know that was close that's what it's all about me that car is serious fair play fair play and in an ultra close bonus race it goes the same way with the m140i just taking a win by a car's length crazy so let's just take a look over at the fastest 100 to 200 kph times achieved during the runs using the vbox pbts and the two proved to run extremely close times but the m140i just goes in just 3.21 seconds but holds on to second position from a previous appearance the r8 runs a crazy time of just 3.28 seconds 100 to 200 and drops into fifth position on the elite 15 leaderboard that's data to back up the results and round one goes to the bmw fanboys next up it's the drag races it's x drive versus quattro place your bets and let's get it all right time to get gapped let's go let's go ready ready ready come on car i know you're not gonna win but let's now it looks like alex got the like the better reaction but i don't know if he had a misshift or something happened to his car but i'm gonna say tom drove around and took the win but let's find out finish line finish line who won that all right so basically from what he said is two car whoo now i know no excuses there alex she was nice and cold did you have a bit of a misshift or something no it got stuck in gear just done a 9-0 no yeah no bro you were driving this car you know point on pack the whole way oh my god i know i believe you i believe you all right and in an insane first drag race down the strip alex gets out front but the m140 manages to reel him back in and takes the win by a few car lengths alex seemed to have a slight issue mid-track on that one but let's line them back up and go again stock clutch no bruno ready ready ready mate that 140 is mental and the crazy thing is that r8 is no joke either but it looked like they both got great starts and it looked like tom in the 140 held it all the way to the finish let's find out finish line finish line who won that and by how much redemption for the bm boys that's a good kill that 9-0 as well quarter mile on this uncracked track too much clutch testing the limits of the stock clutch today gearbox again then yeah of course wasn't happy no i can't imagine it well i still want them not bad for a scrappy little one series and in another crazy run down the strip that bonkers m140i once again makes it to the absolutely mad so let's take a look at the fastest quarter mile and 0-60 times achieved during the runs using the vbox pvts and incredibly tom lays down one of the fastest quarter mile passes we have ever seen here at the og battles covering the distance in a mind-blowing 9.05 seconds at a speed of 162 miles per hour and drops into second position on the leaderboard alex runs a strong time of 9.39 seconds at a speed of 158 miles per hour but holds on to fifth position from a previous race then taking a look over at the fastest 0-60 times achieved once again the m140i proves the fastest hitting 60 in a ridiculous 2.22 seconds but holds on to a joint sixth position from a previous race alex runs a best time of 2.30 seconds however also holds on to a joint sixth position from a previous race and both rounds go to tom the m140i and the bmw fanboys congrats bro so today two crazy builds went toe-to-toe and the races did not disappoint however the m140i just seemed to shine a little bit brighter than the r8 today running killer times and aligning himself among some of the fastest builds we've ever had here at the og battles showing just how crazy the one series x drive platform can be when built right alex runs strong times in the audi today pushing his car to the limits on various stock
